Great stay at the beach
Really nice condo. Clean and well kept. We have had multiple stays in this property and all have been good. Would recommend highly to anyone wanting to be at the beach and enjoy Charleston as well
Amazing beach with tons of shells and hard sand to run or push a jogging stroller on. Amazing condo with great views. Pool was great, but could of been heated. Was 75-80 deg out and the pool was still too cold to get in... could go to the swim center pool (1 mile away) that was heated.
Family bike riding around the wild dines was a blast!
Charming with a great ocean view
The property was a wonderful place to stay for a work trip. It was a nice way to unwind after working all day. The condo was fully stocked, well kept and made you feel at home. The view was wonderful. The beds were comfortable and the condo was spacious.
Beautiful place and great condo
We loved the condo at Wild Dunes! It was huge with more than enough room for all of us, even with friends who visited for the day. Furnishings were beautiful, the room was clean and well stocked. The view from the balcony was great. Getting to the beach was easy, and the beach wasn't crowded. Family oriented, not a bunch of teenagers running around. We used the tennis center, which was fabulous. Playing tennis was free after 5:00, which worked well for us because it was just too hot during the day. They even had a professional exhibition one night with prizes and free beer! There were several pools we could have gone to with the Sports Activity Card, but there was no need for us to do that: the pool right next to the condo was fantastic - it was large and parts of the pool and pool deck were in the shade throughout the day. We went to Hawaii last year, and the pool reminded us of Hawaii with all of the trees and other vegetation. We would definitely stay there again, although we wish that the master bedroom mattress and the twin bed mattresses would be changed by then - they were hard and uncomfortable. Overall a great experience.
Property should not have been rented for the week we were there.
Half of garage was closed for repairs and they took an additional 4 spots outside to park construction equipment, the day we left there was nowhere to park because people had parked overnight in the 15 min loading/unloading parking spaces.
There was a crane parked in front of our "beach" view from Saturday to Thursday and the noise was very loud from 8am-6pm on Monday, we called beachside vacation rental and they had a hard time hearing us since we had to make the call from our balcony due to no phone service in condo. The pool was closed on Tuesday for repairs, the filter was off on Tuesday but up and running Wednesday, however they left the "pool closed" signs up until Thursday so paying quests wouldn't interfere with the workers who were painting, building fences, removing construction debris, power washing pool decking and spraying for insects! The grill was set on the side of the building near the parking lot and not moved until Friday to its location by the pool. Beachside vacation offered to move us to a different condo after 4 days into our stay, they told us we could use the club pool but it would require us to drive to use a pool. We paid the extra fee to book through VRBO since we have used the site many times before and I felt more comfortable since I didn't know Beachside Vaction Rental.
The noise, the lack of beach view, no pool and limited parking should have been noted in listing. We could have paid less for a condo and driven to the beach! Beachside said they would reimburse us their commission but we have yet to hear from them. I find it odd that this condo is booked pretty full and yet there are no VRBO reviews since last year. The condo itself was very nice and as pictured on the inside.
