La Yellow Canary Villa est à quelques pas de la plage de sable blanc et est située à mi-chemin entre Montego Bay et Ochio Rios, au large de la côte nord.
La villa est livrée avec notre cuisinière / femme de ménage gastronomique Joan, et Johnny notre chauffeur expérimenté qui s'occupe de l'aéroport et des excursions.

Nous vous accueillons à Yellow Canary Villa en bord de mer, un endroit pour se détendre et se détendre. De délicieux aliments sont cuisinés quotidiennement à la villa à partir d'aliments frais locaux. Du poisson, du homard (la prise du jour) qui peut être livré à notre porte par nos pêcheurs locaux.
LA villa est livrée avec Air conditionné, Wifi, télévision par câble; hamacs pour dormir toute la journée, des espaces pour se détendre dans diverses parties du jardin et sous tous les angles de la propriété, le bruit de la mer peut être entendu, ce qui vous aidera à vous détendre. Notre villa est un endroit pour se détendre, dormir, lire, manger et générer avec de bons aliments. Pour s'amuser, de la musique live est jouée un samedi soir et vous pouvez participer et danser au Leroy's Bar.

Relaxing and quiet place.

Excellent location to relax! We spent our days reading our books and lounging at the villa or at the beach. Villa was clean, well kept, and very charming. Miss Cassie is an amazing cook and has a beautiful personality. The whole family loved all her meals which were excellent and first class and we also enjoyed our grocery shopping trip! :) Host communications were great with no issues whatsoever. Would return in a heartbeat.

Relaxation in Paradise!

The villa is exactly as the picture shows. The surrounding in peaceful, tranquil and the sound of the waves braking at the beach is magical!Cassie and Tiffany are amazing, warm and accommodating! They aim to please, answers when you call and give you space to enjoy the property. The meals are delicious! You will ask for more. This visit will long be remembered.Mr. Monroe was equally attentive, warm and accommodating and received us promptly upon arrival. This was 10 out of 10!January 2025

Amazing Stay

Very Sweet Place

We had an interesting start to our journey- we traveled in during a tropical storm and arrived just ahead of a bank holiday. Despite this, we were able to settle in nicely and begin to enjoy the surround. The drive Monroe is easily accessible and lovely. Both of the ladies who tended to us during our stay were incredibly nice and did a wonderful job. They truly enhanced our experience. The only thing I would emphasize is that the living area and kitchen can get quite warm, and you may want to bring your own beach towels and extra hand towels if you run out. Outside of those recommendations I could not add more- except, to say it is lovely and the locals are great.

Just what I needed!

I stayed at The Yellow Canary for a long weekend and it was wonderful. The villa is beautiful and very comfortable. Joan and Sandra prepared delicious meals. Johnny and Curtiss were great, welcoming and helped show us around. The beach is less than a block away. Just perfect!

Tranquility

The listing, including the pics, are accurate. My party of 5 adults enjoyed the quiet beautiful beach and clear water that was only a few steps away. Accommodations inside and outside were very comfortable. Cassie was a wonderful cook/housekeeper who did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. A perfect place for those who want security, beauty, peacefulness, and comfort. Veronica was prompt with communication and made very helpful instructions to neighborhood resturant owners.

A cool place to stay!

A wonderful villa, just steps from the beach. Tamara and Jasmine are excellent hosts and fantastic cooks. They gave us authentic Jamaican dishes every day. Eating locally is expensive, especially if you want fish, but do try Julet’s fried chicken. The beach is long and thin with fine white sands and warm blue sea but be careful on the rocks and reefs. To get the most from the area be prepared to chat and join in with local life and experience the laid-back Jamaican hospitality.

Better than advertised!

The Yellow Canary Villa was an amazing getaway for our family! The proximity to the gorgeous beach was so incredibly close it was hardly believable. Clear water and soft sand made up one of the most beautiful beaches we’ve ever enjoyed, certainly the best we visited in Jamacia, and it was hardly ever occupied . The villa was well appointed, and Tamara was an amazing chef! Our picky eater found a new favorite dish with her Brown Chicken Stew – it was sooo delicious! She was incredibly helpful and was always ready to give advice or assist with anything at the villa.

A family treat …

Yellow Canary is a beautiful property, well maintained and my family (aged between 4-89yrs) enjoyed the locality as it is slap bang next to the beach. Tamara the housekeeper is exceptional, we were out a lot of the time but found her cooking was better than any restaurant we bought from. Veronica, the host was very welcoming (thank you for the welcome mangoes again which were appreciated). My granddaughter doesn’t understand why she had to leave, and the rest of the family already want to return.

Excellent Vacation

I loved everything about my stay at Yellow Canary. The house is even better than pictured and just steps from an amazing beach. Picture yourself taking a deep breath on a beautiful white sand beach with crystal clear water because this is what you get just steps from your front door. Veronica has created a very peaceful place. The beds are comfortable, staff are reliable and friendly, excellent wifi, ac and ceiling fans basically all of the comforts of home. She has some really amazing gardens, very well tended by Curtis. Everything was so easy. We will definitely be back.

Special stay in a beautiful place!

My family enjoyed a perfect long weekend at Yellow Canary! Iris was an amazing hostess and cook and Curtis took wonderful care to make sure the property was in great condition every day. We felt so taken care of and loved seeing their smiling faces everyday. We were able to use a pack and play and highchair for our 9 month old son which was great so we didn't have to bring our own. The beach was spectacular and Leroy's bar was a perfect place to spend Saturday evening listening to live reggae music. Johnny and Turbo drove us to the Blue Hole and Martha Brad River Rafting which we thoroughly enjoyed. We hope to be back! Thank you!

Restful Retreat

Bedrooms had ensuite baths with everything you would need for your stay. Kitchen was fully stocked. Tamara had shopped for us and there was plenty of fresh fruit and juice. We had probably the best fried chicken I ever ate for dinner along with equally great slaw & veggies. Our purpose was to relax and de-stress and we achieved that goal with ease. Internet was very good when we needed it. Veronica stopped by with a mango and friendly welcome. All in all it was a perfect spot to walk the beach, relax and be with friends. Would stay again without hesitation, Highly recommend.

Great location, pretty interior and front yard

We very much enjoyed our stay at the villa. Its main asset is the awesome location -- 50 meters to the beach, situated in a quiet, pretty side street. The furnishings are nice and in good condition, and the rooms are clean and wonderfully airy, so we didn't use A/C at all. One nitpick: the kitchen was rather dirty, and we spent some time cleaning it up (wiping surfaces, washing dirty pots and pans, ...). I understand that the villa comes with a cook (and we enjoyed her cooking on occasion), but we also wanted to be able to use the kitchen ourselves -- when we arrived, the kitchen was all but inviting.

Slice of Heaven

I’m not even sure where to start!! From the time Mr. Munroe picked us up at the airport until he dropped us off at the end of our vacation we had an amazing time! Mr. Munroe is a true gentleman and will take you wherever you want to go. Not once were we bored, so close to the beach, the lagoon is fun to explore in. Beautiful turquoise water.So picturesque !! The locals are so friendly. Just footsteps away on the beach there are 2 small bars, a restaurant and fresh coconuts ! I suggest finding local Dougie Fresh at the beach and have him take you to the Cave, very cool experience. And the best for last, Cassie !!! Cassie is an absolute sweetheart and the heart of the house! She made us feel like royalty , always tending to our needs. Her cooking is out of this world! Highly recommend her lobster curry. We are definitely coming back again next year!!

Beautiful relaxing villa by the Sea!

Everything about our trip was wonderful! Miss Iris is a wonderful lady that took care of us better than any 5-star hotel. Her food was fabulous and the villa was immaculate! It all made for such a relaxing vacation for us all. Johnny did such a good job showing us Jamaica and the local culture (and food). Although it was a long trip, I'm glad we went to Appleton Estates and back through Negril. We experienced more of Jamaica on that day than we could imagine. Jamaica has such a vast array of things to see and do, aside from just sitting on the (wonderful!) beach. This is the first time we had done a rental by owner, so we weren't exactly sure what we were in for. But Miss Veronica has done such a fabulous job with the location and staffing of the villa, it felt like home away from home. I couldn't believe that it really was as close to that little gazebo on the beach as it showed on the web! That was amazing!

This is REAL Jamaica-as long as you know that going in, you will absolutely love it here!

The good: the property owner is very helpful & arranged on-time airport pickup + a stop at the market on the way to the villa. She even gave us phone nos. for the driver & housekeeper/chef so we could reach out directly. When the air wasn’t working in one bedroom, she tried to get it fixed ASAP. The drivers are timely, courteous & able to take us anywhere we wanted to go-any day or time. The beach is literally only 100 yards away-and it’s spectacular. The bad: you’re in the tropics-there WILL be biting insects galore. DEET is your friend. Bring LOTS of sunscreen & bug spray!!! The so-so: wear water shoes! Urchin colonies abound in the shallow rocks! There isn’t much to do at the Villa besides the beach, so you need a driver to do anything else (even dining out). Expect to spend $80-100 US just for driver service each day you use it plus any excursion costs. Groceries are pricey-ie: a case of water is about $9 & produce isn’t as large & fresh as we see in the States. Air conditioning is only in the bedrooms. Clothes must line dry-plan accordingly. We never saw the advertised hot tub, but didn’t miss it. The best: Ms. Cassie. She’s part housekeeper, part world-class chef, part concierge & 100% instant family friend. She made the stay amazing! Hands-down the best meals we ate were made by Ms. Cassie. We miss her already! If you want a “resort” vacay, it’s not for you. But def book this Villa if you want to experience real beauty of Jamaica!

I live in London, England from a young age. I have been spending lots of precious time in Jamaica where I was born.
I first visited Duncans Bay in 1999 with my 2 children and we were walking along a lane which has some quaint cottages and directly in front I could see the ocean appearing through branches of almond trees which lined the banks in front of the beach. It was such a beautiful sight.
The cottage is surrounded by a beautiful garden with tropical plants. A mango tree with long limbs spreads across the garden which is ideal shade to relax with a book.
The living room opens out onto a patio area which makes it light and airy. All the bedrooms have louver windows bringing in fresh sea breeze into the rooms.
There is a green area that stretches along the beach with many trees for shades. This area is great for children to play. My children love this area along the beach to play on when they were young and they now bring their children to play there.
On a Saturday night live music is performed by local artists at the Beach bar.
This area is ideal connection to many attractions and Montego Bay Airport is just 45 minutes drive.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I love the idea of strolling to the beach early mornings with a cup of coffee and take in the views and if energetic go for a swim.
The neighbourhood is a seaside village, flushed with greenery, unspoilt, and most days it can be quiet except for weekends when it can get busy with visiting guests and local families. The beach is good for sun bathers, swimmers, snorkelling, fishing. Swimming though is restricted to particular areas. The beach stretches a long way so it’s great for those who like walking. The adjoining beach is the fishermen’s beach and there are two restaurants/bar some craft kiosks along that beach. Leroy’s Bar is famous for it live music on a Saturday nights.
GETTING AROUND
from the villa a short walk to the Taxi Stop. All taxis from this stop will take you to Duncans Town in less than 3 minutes. Here you can get local taxis which will connect you to most places. Please be careful not to travel alone at nights. If you are a group of 3 or more it is best and much cheaper to charter a taxi to take you where you want to go.
MontegoBay and Ocho Rios are approximately 40 minutes by transport.
