This family-friendly cabin has everything you need to truly disconnect from reality and just focus on yourself. Snuggle up on the sofa with a cup of coffee or cocoa and watch something entertaining on the TV. The kitchen has you covered once chowtime arrives. You have all the essentials to prepare everything that comes to mind, including that new recipe you've been dying to try. Head outside to enjoy the scenery just before sunset. Visiting during the winter? The gas fireplace available will ensure you have a warm and cozy stay.

THINGS TO KNOW
This vacation rental is equipped with a kitchen without a dishwasher.
The parking area is ten yards from the cottage, and you will have to carry your belongings to the home on an unpaved pathway. There is a motion light in the parking area that lights the path.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle.

Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. This technology is privacy compliant, and only monitors the presence of decibels and devices-not any personal conversation or information. Thank you for supporting our efforts to be good neighbors!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Great cabin to stay at!

My husband and I have stayed at this little cabin several times now over the past two years. It is conveniently located if you are wanting to stay near Norwich University which is in Northfield. There's also a little store at the end of the road where you can get some basic food items. The cabin is perfect for two people. The "bedroom" opens up into the living room and kitchen. The only recommendations we would give them after staying there a few times would be to maybe replace the one couch. It's not that comfy at all... especially if you plan on sitting on it for a while. And while the cabin is clean, each time we've stayed there, we have had to wipe away multiple spider webs throughout the cabin. (Maybe the webs just grow more quickly in the mountains?) So I'd encourage their cleaner to do a quick wipe down of the webs. Other than that, we truly enjoy this little getaway cabin. There is also a cute front porch where you can sit out and do work. We recommend staying here and will definitely be back again.

Great cozy comfy cabin to get away from it all!

We stay up in this area at least twice a year and are always looking for a place to stay. This was the first time that we stayed here and it was perfect! Close to Northfield, it was convenient to where we needed to be. It was in the woods and a perfect get a way. This little cabin had high ceilings with wood walls and ceilings. Super cute and one of a kind. You walked into a couch with tv which opened up into the kitchen with a little work desk and then off to the side was the bedroom and bathroom. One day we sat outside on the front porch all day long. There was a little table and chairs and you looked right out at the flowers and the trees. You can walk up the hill on their property and see a beautiful view. It was truly a perfect location for us to stay for five nights. We will definitely book here again. 5 stars!

Peaceful and lovely

We appreciated the beautiful setting, comfortable bed, and privacy. It is a cozy cabin perfect for two on a scenic road with three covered bridges. We highly recommend this sweet vacation spot.

Everything met our needs with one exception. The internet and Wi-Fi are extremely slow, relative to what we are accustomed. Due to location it may be as fast as available. Just be aware of that.

Beautiful cozy cottage

Great location (secluded, surrounded with mountains) for a short winter getaway. Perfect for couples looking to spend time together. Cabin was clean and well maintained with all the amenities except microwave.

Charming little cottage

This quaint little cottage is nestled back in the mountainside and perfect for a nice getaway! The cabin was the perfect size for the 2 of us and had everything we needed (which wasn’t much as we spent the majority of our days exploring the areas and hiking). We spent our mornings having breakfast on the deck watching the butterflies and hummingbirds in peace. The only reason I marked 4 of 5 was we were unable to use the fire pit as advertised in the description. The owner had a large burn pile in it stating it was not usable. That was really the only negative thing I can think of, otherwise the rest was great.

Beautiful

Everything about this cabin was perfect. The woodwork inside the cabin was so creative. The bed was comfortable and everything you need was already there. It was clean and cozy. The landscape was beyond peaceful. One of the best parts of thr trip was Finn (the friendly owners cat).

Great Little Cabin!

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here! I couldn’t stop telling him how cute it was. The cabin was incredibly clean and had exactly the atmosphere we were looking for—minimal, rustic, very cozy. The cabin is small, but they make great use of the space. I would absolutely stay here again for a long weekend!! Couple of cons: if you’re looking to stay here to go skiing at Sugarbush, it’s about 30minutes away and you have to drive 6 miles on a poorly maintained dirt road to get to the house. Definitely recommend an all wheel drive vehicle. The only other thing that I would’ve wanted to know about this place beforehand is that the bathroom wall doesn’t go all the way up to the ceiling—so you don’t really have privacy in there. This wasn’t an issue for me and my boyfriend, but if you’re trying to stay here with friends or multiple family members, it might be good to know! We loved our stay here and couldn’t recommend it more.

Perfect secluded getaway

This cabin was the cutest! It was clean and provided all the amenities one could desire. The bed was so comfy, the space was perfect for a small family. I highly recommend this cabin for anyone who wants a nice quiet space away from civilization.

This cabin was a beautifully hand crafted work of art. It had everything one could need. It was in a quiet location, all you could hear was the running water of a gorgeous river at the bottom of the hill. Modern and rustic all at the same time. I highlt recommend this to anyone. We took our 5 and 2 year old with us. Perfect for a solo, couples, or tiny familg trip!

Great Getaway!

Awesome location, so much to do! Everywhere is nearby, Montpelier, Barre, Waterbury, etc. My only complaint is that when we had an issue with the heat, I called Vacasa. I was told that someone would come to fix the heat, but no one came. We had to bother the property owner when we got home that evening, who thankfully lived next door. He took care of the problem. We also had a question about the trash that was never answered. Vacasa could have done better, but we were overall thrilled with the stay.

Cute, Cozy, and Comfortable Cabin

The cabin is located in a peaceful surrounding, with nice views of trees outside. The fireplace makes it warm and romantic. It has all the amenities you would need for your stay, nice expandable sofa, great bed, pillows and sheets. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. The whole place is planned smartly to accommodate a comfortable stay experience with some thoughtful touches to delight you. Checkin/Checkout was also super easy. Our only advice to guests would be to get there before sunset on the first day to figure out where you have to go. It might be difficult at night to find this spot for some. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it.
