Unique epic Chalet - vintage furniture - " Longing Realms "

Thank you for visiting your upcoming wonderland ! We started with the idea of building something unique in the entire area, isolated in the middle of the mountains and at only 30 minutes from Dracula's Castle! Located at an altitude of 1360 m, the village of Fundata is the highest located settlement in Romania, the perfect hideaway giving you the privilege to also breathe the cleanest air possible!

The view from the living areas, from some of the bedrooms and from the outdoor spaces are absolutely breathtaking , overlooking the imposing Carpathians !


This is the first from our two projects in building unique accommodation spaces tourists. This chalet was built during more than 8 years, 100% made with local materials and workers, after a long hunt of unique wooden pieces. The biggest challenge beside the hard work were the endless searches in the huge forests around, trying to find an unique piece of wood, that can be handcrafted as a chair, a table or a part of an amazing organic bed that you will find all around the chalet!


This long and exhausting work of 8 years won us a very rich experience and helped us finalize our second amazing project in 2020, the brand new five unique organic huts, built in the heart of the hill and covered by earth and grass.

After finally constructing the chalet as we dreamed it, we are already enjoying for 3 years a lot of travelers and only positive reviews!


We wished to use only local resources and the experience of past generations and we are happy to say this is a 100 % local project from our village Fundata in Brasov. From the conception of the project to its completion, the owner of this accommodation was the one to develop, supervised and physically worked during the entire project.

Being the youngest generation of an old local carpenters family, the owner managed to reflect his vision and feeling of freedom upon the construction project and the entire furniture, blending with finesse the local cultural influences with the local organic materials. While most of the construction is made of wood and stone and an actual ceiling made from earth and fully covered by grass, you will still get all the modern comfort of any other top accommodation!
All the 6 rooms have separate entrance and en-suite bathroom with shower, with no common door. Each bedroom has an unique organic wooden bed with Queen and King sized comfortable mattresses ( just one bedroom has two beds, a queen and a double ). There is also a TV set in each room, with cable services, and a wooden cabinet to deposit your stuff.
The medium surface of each bedroom is 15 sqm, two or three of them having around 20 sqm.


All the chambers have a common dining room at the ground floor, with a very generous space of more than 80 sqm, lots of sitting places for comfort and many tables for separate activities, all warmed up by a big fireplace with unlimited wood supply.

You will also enjoy another amazing living area at the first floor, with vintage organic armchairs, hammocks and mattresses. The view from both the living areas is breathtaking, overlooking the Carpathians and the mountain forests.

You will also find the fully equipped kitchen. You will find everything you need to store and prepare any meals for all the guests. We also have a dishwasher. There are also two separate toilets for ladies and gents in the living area. We can also provide dry cleaning services for an extra cost, helping you with the transport to a local business that is close to our location.


The yard is enormous, it has about 50.000 sqm , secluded from any other crowded or noisy area. All the yard has amazing mountain views and mountain forests in front, while you can also enjoy the lovely outdoor barbecue area. We are working hard to provide you as many extra outdoor amenities as possible, hoping that the weather will soon allow us to develop new spaces for your fun in the huge outdoor yard.
