Quiet, clean, and private: exactly what we wanted!
Leslie and her mother greeted us with friendly smiles and a tour of their beautiful quaint beach house. The area is very private and the home and grounds were spotless! Our family enjoyed snorkeling, fishing, swimming, walking, and spotting wildlife multiple times a day! Highly recommended if these are your vacation priorities!
Amazing location, right on the beach. The neighborhood/beach was quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed the low cost option for tasty meals at âda spotâ just a couple of blocks away. The home was comfortable. We enjoyed the shady yard as well. House had a good supply of amenities (soap, dish soap, lots of towels etc). Excellent communication from host. We had an amazing time here!!
Our family of 5 (4 adults and 1 teen) just returned from an amazing 6 days in the Bahamas! This home was everything we hoped it would be. The beautiful beach is steps from the back yard and we only saw a few other people on the entire beach our whole time there (there's a pretty long stretch to walk/run on). Snorkeling was perfect - lots of sea life (we brought an underwater GoPro and were really happy that we did because the Bahamas has so many amazing beaches). During low tide we could walk out to a small island/reef that was super fun to explore. The owner provided plenty of towels, dishes, pans, swimming equipment (paddle boards, tubes, etc.). She was so nice and got back to us right away before and during our vacation when we had questions! There's a washer and dryer there which was nice because we packed a light. There were plenty of hangers to hang our wet things. There's a grocery store nearby so we stopped there on our way from the airport and besides eating out a couple times we just cooked/grilled. We couldn't be happier with this Vrbo!Oh, and we felt safe there. There's a locked gate into the property. The front porch and front door both lock. The back gate locks as well as the back porch and back doors. There's also security cameras outside.
Stayed here for six days in April. It was a wonderful experience. Leslie was a pleasure to deal with and even helped line up a rental car. Plenty of room in the house and nice having the two bathrooms. Very quiet area & beach is pretty much all yours. House is nicely equipped & has everything you need including a washer and dryer which was nice. Would definitely return here & highly recommend.
Leslie was an AMAZING host! The property was exactly what we were looking for. A quiet, clean, secluded beach house. The water was clear and perfect for swimming. I highly recommend anyone staying at Leslieâs property. I normally donât leave a review, but I am that impressed with her property and her communication. Highly Recommend!!!!!
What a hidden gem of a house. Leslie's property was the perfect location for our family of four's week long getaway. The beach, especially at low tide, was perfect for our 4 year old and 1.5 year old. It is not an exaggeration to say that you will have practically the entire beach to yourself. We saw less than 10 people on it the entire week. We are already planning our next trip down!
We stayed at Leslie's place for 7 nights from Christmas Day to New Year's Eve. Our family of 2 adults and 3 adult children (early 20s and late teens). The place looks exactly like the pictures- there are 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms : 2 with a queen bed in each and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. There is also a shower and toilet outside. The house is literally on the beach and it was amazing to wake up to the sound of the waves in the morning. The beach was a totally private, 2 mile stretch, the adjacent properties were not occupied. The water is shallow and clear, we saw an eagle ray, a little nurse shark and a sea turtle. There is also a reef further out in the deeper waters. The house comes with SUP boards and snorkel gear as well as board games and lots of books. We spent one day with the owner of a farm down the beach who taught us how to spear fish , shell Konch and then cook them on an open fire (with S'mores for desert!). Leslie connected is to him- highly recommended and unique experience (we felt like contestants on Survivor). We really had the most relaxing and enjoyable time. Leslie is an outstanding host, very attentive and responsive. She was always a step ahead with anything we needed. We really recommend this for a secluded family getaway, completely detached from the world (no TV!) One thing not to forget is Mosquito repellent!
Let me start by saying I have traveled many places and islands and the front of this property to the beach is absolutely breathtaking. The breeze, the palm trees, turtles out in the ocean each morning, long gorgeous walkable beach right out your front yard. It sales itself. As for the house its clean but needs updating and upgrading. The beds are hard and old, there is no tv at all as advertised. The oven was painted over so you can't control the heat and beware of the oven.when cooker gets to a hot temp the oven door locks. One slider door works the other is duck taped close. The lawn chairs out front dont move or role the wheels fall off..This place has so much potential if the owner was to put some money into "there family gem". I felt nervous to touch or move anything. And unfortunately a guest came to visit and there was a terrible insident with the front gate and i paid to replace it right away. I wish I had better phone to communicate better with ower on that situation. My time there was stressful everyday and with no air conditioning, advertise as having, my legs swelled huge along with tons of mosquito bites from having to leave the windows open for the breeze when available. Ive never encountered a check in or out like that. She asked us to check in late as the people before us wanted a later check out. That was no problem. But when we got there her and her mom greeted us with a walk through. And when it came for us to go we pusheo be out by 1030 and thleavond
We had a great time at this beach property.
We spent 6 nights.
The bungalow house is located on the beach at Adelaide village. We were looking for quiet and we found it.
We snorkeled every day sometimes twice a day.
We saw mostly small fish in water 7 feet deep at high tide 150 yards out. This is a quiet neighborhood. We played board games that we brought in the evening and cooked our own meals in the kitchen. No tv but it has very good internet. Leslie was a great host available and responsive.
This in not the Baha Mar so if you are looking for 5 stars this not for you. It is a functional beach house in the most quiet part of the island.
My son 11 cried on the last day when he left and my says if we come back to Nassau this is where she wants to be.
