Great Florida Fishing 3br 2bath Waterfront Private Docks Deck Boat to Ocean!

Suwannee river. Where you see the river flow to the ocean !Everyday is a fishing day!!!! The video shows the neighborhood at the 33 second mark. Homes in this neighborhood are on a canal that heads out to the Suwannee River with wide open blue ocean water a few minutes boat ride away. Kayak, Scuba dive, go scalloping or just fish and view the sunset. Travel by your boat to nearby restaurants or travel up river to Treasure Island and eat there.
We love this area. its quiet, a hidden historic treasure, tucked away at end of the river as it flows out to the ocean. Families are welcome to build memories that will last a lifetime.
Please enjoy this lovely find. If you love fishing, clear natural springs, hunting in the refuge or swimming and seafood, come on down. Schedule your stay with us!! Joe Lovelace our neighbor across the street is the best local fishing guide with over 30 years experience at this location and runs a Private active Charter Service independent of the property. He charters for fresh and saltwater fishing year round. He does boat tours as well. This home will accommodates 6 guests comfortably.. If the days you want to stay are not blocked they are available..
The Master Bedroom and bathroom along with the landscaping and entire grounds were completely remodeled and updated as of January 2024. New photos have been added and most of the older ones have been removed. The entire house has a warm cabin type feel to it along with elevated yards and a new deck to walk out to the boat dock. New grass sod has been laid on the entire property.

Very beautiful place right on the water in quite neighborhood where everybody was very friendly

We enjoyed our stay very much. The dock to keep our boat was very nice. And the neighbors we very nice and helpful with information as to where we could go to get scallops. Overall great place. Not many restaurants close. But enjoyed our stay

Very comfortable for fishing and visiting springs

We very much liked having the boat in the water so we could just get in and go. Very quiet, nice neighbors. Everything we needed was there. Suggest you get groceries in Old Town before coming to the home. We definitly will go again.

Sooooo great!!

We had a blast!! The place was so clean and had everything we needed! If I suggest anything it would be to put cleats on the sea wall to tie up a boat because the boat lift is occupied! Oh and more forks! Minor things because I will definitely book this house again!! Thank you for a great weekend!!

Horrible experience

This house is nice and has a great location but we had a terrible experience the dirty linen was piled up in front of the entrance ,the house was dirty we had to do laundry and cleaned the floor and carpet that had dead roaches after driving for long time.Poor communication with the owner. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.☹️😣😡😤

The property was perfect for our family of four and everything was pretty clean. The view outside was beautiful and the dock was great as we were able to access our boat easily. We loved the location as it was remote and quiet A few things to keep in mind if your staying here: 1. Make sure and bring most of your groceries as there isn’t much in the area for groceries and/or restaurants. 2. Bring bug spray and some long sleeve clothing as the bugs are really bad (which can be expected anywhere near water in Florida). 3. We had no cell service at all in the town the property is located. Once you hook up to wifi you can make calls, but keep this in mind if you are very dependent on your phones gps/ web services to get around.

Suwannee Disappointment

The cleanliness of the home was a huge disappointment. Upon arriving at the home, there were numerous housekeeping and sanitation issues that were discovered. The home needs a thorough deep cleaning from the ceiling to the baseboards. The issues that concerned us the most and were reported to David McGhee are as follows; BUGS IN THE FREEZER AND IN ICE, DIRTY COUNTERTOPS, DEBRIS AND DIRT ON FLOORS. DUST ON FURNITURE, MILDEW ON SHOWER CURTAIN, HAIRS ON TOILET. Photos were sent to David McGhee. He asked if he could have the housekeeper come back and clean again. We agreed to her coming back. We showed her the areas that needed attention. She was nice but seemed to be overwhelmed with the prospect of cleaning the entire home. We agreed to.just have her clean the areas of greatest concern, which she did. We were able to stay once the most egregious cleaning issues were corrected. The home really needs a regularly scheduled deep.cleaning on a consistent basis. Our stay began very stressful due to the cleanliness issues of the home. Nobody likes to arrive in a home and find problems that could possibly jeapordize the plans of staying and enjoying their time away. We stayed and made the most of our time. Crabbing was good and exploring the Suwannee area was fun. Suwannee only has one small grocery store so bring everything that you will need for your stay. If you're looking for a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life then Suwannee is the place.

Cozy and quaint

The house was super cozy and very homey feeling. We really enjoyed our stay and loved that it had a dock for our boat. The kids had a blast spending family time on the water.

Recommend adding blankets, spatula /cook wear. It’s hard to make pancakes with a spoon. No trash bags to switch out trash. House is well kept for it’s age. We enjoyed the dock and view.

Nice little getaway

Off the peak tourist season, used this spot as a quick getaway while visiting newberry for their Halloween festivities. Great property, clean and comfortable.

Overall stay was good. Location of rental was nice for our weekend stay. The house had a few minor issues in which we communicated with the property manager and worked through. Would stay again.

Sportsman's Paradise

The property is ideally located if you want to explore the lower Suwanee River by boat. AC, Kitchen, Bathrooms, Laundry, everything works well. Friendly neighborhood if you need fishing advice.

Relaxation at it's best

The property was great ! With everything we needed for our stay. We spent our time fishing on the covered dock and hated to leave . The neighbors were GREAT !!! , it's a quiet neighborhood and i definitely plan to book again .

Quiet and relaxing

The home is cute and cozy. I loved the large glass windows in dining area. The dock is an added bonus for night fishing. Although we only caught catfish. Having the ice machine on the dock was fantastic. Mr Jack and his wife are very nice and friendly. The kitchen could use more cooking utensils and a spatula for grilling would also come in handy. Would booked again!

I pick properties I would live in and travel too much to stay for long term. I look long and hard for gems tucked away from the hustle and bustle of congested city life. My hard work pays off for my short term guests while I am away enjoying other parts of the world. I hope you feel the warmth and comfort and enjoy all the activities I feel when I stay here. There is so much to do you will not be able to stay just one time.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

A man made canal fishing community where all the homes have private boat docks with access to the ocean and the Historic Suwannee River. From gators and fresh water fish to Deep Sea Fishing you can see it all in southern charm and comfort with beautiful views all around. Travel up the river or just take a tour or bring your own boat and fish for Redfish and other Game fish in the ocean or hire our neighbor Joe Lovelace to take you out via his private and economical charter service. Joe has over 35 yrs experience in this area alone. He will not waste your time. There are many Natural Springs to swim in at the State and National Parks as well as antique stores shopping and groceries locally or travel an hour to Gainesville for the city life. You will enjoy a covered boat dock where you can set or can tie up your own boat on the seawall or alongside the boat dock. Just account for the rising and lowering tide. There are boats in the boat lifts and on the property but they are not for guest use but there is plenty of room to bring your own and keep it on a trailer or tie it up on the canal.
