We stayed for a weekend with four couples and everyone loved the house. It was big enough that everyone was comfortable in their own rooms while also having plenty of entertainment space. We were a short 15-20 minute drive the ski Whiteface mountain and a short 20 minute walk into downtown. Would definitely stay again!
We had a great stay! Fantastic location - in a quiet neighborhood but only a 15 minute easy walk to town. House is big and spacious and the decorations/theming were great. We had a large group of adults and younger kids so the big downstairs was great for the kids to get some separation. Nice hot tub too.
Only complaint was the ants - every day we saw 10-15 large ants crawling aroundâŠhad to be very careful storing food and they did gross some people out.
This home was everything displayed in the photos and more! Kevin was so great to communicate with. Quick walk to town, short drive to whiteface. The hot tub was such a treat- thank you for everything!
First this home is set up perfectly for multi family groups. We had 3 families of 6 adults and 5 kids. All the adults had their own rooms and a bathroom. The kids shared 2 other rooms. The selling point for us was the adults could relax upstairs by the fire and the kids could play downstairs in the rec room. The home is older, but that worked for us because we weren't worried the kids would damage anything. The house had plenty of bath towels and beach/hot tub towels. There was also dish soap and laundry detergent which was nice. The hot tub worked and seemed to be clean. We did find a a box of old cookies in one of the downstairs bedrooms and a hat that didn't belong to any of us.
The location of the home was great, we could easily walk to town, but being this was a winter trip, a 45 second car ride is what we did. Neighborhood was quite.
Couple things disappointed us but Kevin the property manager made it right.
First there was no firewood, we had to go out an buy wood. The gas grill propane tank was empty and we had to fill that ourselves. Kevin did reimburse us the cost of the wood and propane, plus an extra $50.00 for our trouble which was a nice jester. Homes in this are to rent are not cheap, so I hope in the future these things are checked regularly.
The oven stopped working while we were there. These things happen, and being that it was a weekend, I can understand that it wasn't replaced before we left. Its time to replace the black sofa
The house had a giant common room that could comfortably fit everyone, and the sleeping spaces were great too! Hot tub, lake access (2 min walk to private beach), and short walk to town (~1 mile). This place has it all!
