Unique, epic and organic IN HILL hobbit cottages - " The chambers of the realm "

Thank you for visiting our own wonderland ! We started this project with the idea of building something unique in our country, isolated in the middle of the mountains and at only 30 minutes from Dracula's Castle. Located at an altitude of 1360 m, the village of Fundata is the highest located settlement in Romania, the perfect hideaway giving you the privilege to also breathe the cleanest air possible!

Our rich experience came from 8 years of hard work until finally constructing our other amazing accommodation chalet. We wished to use only local resources and the experience of past generations and we are happy to say this is a 100 % local project from our village Fundata. From the conception of the project to its completion, the owner of this accommodation was the one to develop, supervised and physically worked during the entire project.


Being the youngest generation of an old local carpenters family, the owner managed to reflect his vision and feeling of freedom upon the construction project and the entire furniture, blending with finesse the local cultural influences with the local organic materials. While most of the construction is made of wood and stone and an actual ceiling made from earth and fully covered by grass, you will still get all the modern comfort of any other top accommodation!


All the 5 chambers are separated ( between 30-35 sqm each ) , have no common door and each offer a cozy king sized wooden bed with 180 x 200 mattress. Each chamber has its own private bathroom with a shower on the rocks, its own TV with cable services, a spacious cabinet and a couch that can be easily used for sleep by a small kid.

All the chambers have a common dining room with a very generous space, lots of sitting places for comfort and many tables for separate activities, all warmed up by a big fireplace with unlimited wood supply. The view from the living area is breathtaking, overlooking the Carpathians and the mountain forests.

You will also enjoy the professionally equipped kitchen that of about 45 sqm along with the food storage area. You will find everything you need to store and prepare any meals for all the guests. We also have a dishwasher. There are also two separate toilets for ladies and gents in the living area. We can also provide dry cleaning services for an extra cost, helping you with the transport to a local business that is close to our location.

The yard is enormous, it has about 50.000 sqm , secluded from any other crowded or noisy area. All the yard has amazing mountain views and mountain forests in front, while you can also enjoy the lovely outdoor barbecue area. We are working hard to provide you as many extra outdoor amenities as possible, hoping that the weather will soon allow us to develop new spaces for your fun in the huge outdoor yard. Outdoor local wooden " Jacuzzi " soon to be enjoyed in the garden !!! Any other suggestion is kindly appreciated and we are looking forward to meet you in our mountain hideaway !
