The newly remodeled Long Bay resort makes this the one of the very best locations on the island.

Coastin' A-Long sits in the hillside estate of Long Bay, the beach in the foreground with islands beyond. A perfect view from just about every room in the house including the wrap around terrace and ample pool deck. The Atlantic Ocean is laid out in all of its glory and the villa provides an ideal setting for enjoying the scenery, with its peaceful calm around the property. The views look out onto Jost Van Dyke, Sandy Cay, Green Cay and beyond.

The French doors in the living room area open onto a wrap around deck and create a wide-open living space with alfresco dining. The villa offers peace and quiet to read a book on the deck, listen to music, enjoy a cocktail, or fall asleep to the majestic view of the Atlantic.

Parking is excellent and conveniently located outside the front door making it very easy to transfer groceries without having to negotiate steps. The entrance leads to the living area and then the galley kitchen on the left opens to the dining area on the covered pool deck. There is a magnificent wall to the back of the villa with local planting of shrubs and flowers.

The Villa consists of three King Bedrooms and Bathrooms (sleeps 6), one en-suite bathroom has an outdoor shower. The pool just welcomes you in and makes it very easy to spend the day relaxing.

The newly redesigned Long Bay Resort establishes Coastin A-Long as one of the best locations on the island.

You can't get better views/been doing this for decades

Check in process and communication w property management was top notch. You will not find better views I promise. Water is a delight but we already knew that. This villa is a 10/10

Beautiful Villa with Exceptional Views but Thoughtless Property Manager

The villa was spectacular, with exceptional views as advertised in the listing. It was very clean and well appointed. We really enjoyed our stay, except for a very stressful arrival, and an apparent lack of concern by the property manager Sam. When I reserved the villa earlier this year I was unsure how many family members would join us. I was pretty sure there would be 5 adults, but maybe as many as 8, at least for part of the time. We chose this villa because of its appearance, comfortable layout, and spectacular views. We realized that there were only 3 bedrooms with king beds, but it looked like there was a large couch and plenty of room for an extra person if needed. The listing says "sleeps 7." There is nothing about a maximum of 6 people, yet that is what Sam told me after 5 of us arrived and I mentioned that 2 more would be joining us that night. She said that would not be possible because there was a strict policy of 6 people maximum. I explained that my sister was flying in that night and would have no place to stay. She was inflexible and said that she would check on other places. She called back later and said that everywhere she checked was fully booked. She was still unwilling to accommodate, said we would just have to find something, and never called back to check. Fortunately, my son was finally able to book a room at Nanny Cay. This, of course, was quite inconvenient and an additional expense. Sam did not seem to care.

Lovely villa with spectacular views!

Located on the hill overlooking Long Bay, this villa had everything we needed for a relaxing and fun vacation. We especially loved the spectacular deck with its comfortable furniture for coffee/breakfast in the morning, cocktails in the evening, and stargazing at night. The pool was refreshing after a day at one of the north shore beaches. Great location for an easy drive to Smugglers Cove, Long Bay and Cane Garden. Don’t hesitate to book this villa!

The peak of paradise

Our stay at this fantastic property was nothing short of amazing! The entire process from booking through checking out was super easy. Our host lined up transportation from the airport to the front door where the fun began. The house had everything we needed for our stay and our views from the porches and pool were fabulous. My wife and I traveled with 2 other couples so everyone had their own space and the beds were very comfy. My wife and I stayed in the guest house suite and we loved the outdoor shower as well as the views out of the 3 walls of glass that surround the king size bed. We’ve traveled all over the world and this trip is definitely in our top 3 which means we will be back for sure! We hated to leave but knew we’d return and we can’t wait to do so! We give this stay a 5 star review and hope the future guests will enjoy it as much as we did.

Paradise Visited

Coastin Along is right out of the 'House Beautiful' style magazines - beautiful setting, tastefully decorated, well appointed, pool, porches overlooking the islands. It was perfect for 2 grandparents in the pool house while grandchildren ( age 7 and 9 ) and parent stayed in the main house. Nearby restaurant 'Tropical Fusion' is excellent. I highly recommend staying here.

We are Okies from the U.S. As a matter of fact, my mother is an "Okie from Muskogee" (Google: Okie from Muskogee by Don Williams). We own other vacation rental properties in the Great Smoky Mountains (VRBO: 472632, 606519) and a condo in Branson, MO (VRBO: 913925), but the Caribbean is our dream. We had been looking on a few other islands, but really felt good about the BVI.

We are normal people from a modest upbringing that take a great deal of pride in everything that we do! We have kids, grandkids, and dogs. A high degree of drive and an entrepreneur spirit drive us most days. However, the water is a motivator for us every day. We look forward to having you!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

It has been a crazy time in all of our lives. I know it is difficult, but take yourself back to Mid-March 2020, when the pandemic was just beginning to gain momentum. The island of Tortola was wide open, but travelers had already stopped traveling. We arrive on the island with one specific house in mind, but wanted to look at others. Our realtor met us on the mountain adjacent to a small quaint watering hole called Rudy's bar. We liked the house that we came to look at, but we both felt it was missing something. The layout was good and it had a nice Caribbean feel, but just something about the ambience.

We tasked our realtor with finding a place that had everything that we were looking for. We looked at several properties, no such luck. However, she really felt good about this property and we knew within minutes of our arrival, it "checked all of the boxes" and had such a great feel! Of course, we knew it would need some updates (complete as of 7/5/2021), but it was perfect. We had heard that the Long Bay resort was rebuilding which would even make it more perfect!

We sit at a middle table in the open area of Pusser's in Cane Garden Bay. It was a dark and rainy evening, Covid had allowed us to be about the only seated table, it was just us and the chickens. We decided then to make an offer and the rest is history! The purchase process in the BVI for a "non-belonger" is longer and more detailed than other places, but we finally became owners in December 0f 2020.

Long Bay has been remodeled and is open for business, Nigel's Boom Boom Beach Bar is close and you can see all the way to Cane Garden Bay from our deck! The location is perfect and everything we had hoped for.

We are incredibly blessed and look forward to sharing this wonderful property with you.
