We had such a great time! Perfect location- convenient to access train but far enough away from it. Lovely views of waterfalls, alps and Lauterbrunnen valley from our balcony.

We loved this apartment!! Check in was so easy with the office close to the train station with friendly staff. The apartment was easy to find and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the views and the sheep in the fields. It was comforting to come ‘home’ to the apartment each night after a long day of hiking. We loved this apartment! Thank you for sharing!

Beautiful retreat in Wengen

Our stay at Mittaghorn in Wengen was wonderful! The Interhome office was easy to find from the train station and we were greeted kindly by the staff and given a great description of how to get to our apartment. We loved our comfortable accommodations, the views were beautiful, and the apartment well appointed. The hill up to town was steep but a good opportunity to rest half way up to say hello to the sheep and take in the views. Thank you for sharing your beautiful apartment with us!

Mountain perfection.

Extremely spacious and comfortable apartment in a great location at the bottom edge of the village. Location means it is quiet and has great views, but there is a steep walk up into the village. We did not object to the walk and so completely loved the apartment.

Stunning apartment

A great, spacious apartment with balcony and amazing view over mountains. We were there for 2 weeks in September. The light streamed into the living/dining/kitchen through three doors leading onto the balcony as well as windows at each end of the room. The bedrooms were spacious and very comfy. Apartment was fitted out with quality furniture and equipment. Hill up to centre of Wengen was steep but at the end of the holiday we were romping up like mountain goats - a great fitness measure!

Very nice place off the beaten path

The home was very nice and had everything we needed. The walk up to the grocery, restaurants, and shops was only a half mile walk but it was quite a tough walk up hill. We ended up taking a taxi up each time for 20 CHF. I would recommend this home for someone that wants quiet and doesn’t plan to leave much. The views are spectacular!

The Mittaghorn apartment was absolutely magical. It's exactly as described and what the photos show. The place was clean when we arrived and everything was built with quality in mind. We travelled with two young kids and the space was large enough and had appropriate amenities to make it feel like home. We stayed in other rentals during our trip but nothing compared to this one. The hills from the train station to the building are no joke, but you get used to them. Our 7 yo was able to tackle them no problem and even our 3 yo at times. The local sheep and bunnies that are about 1/2 way between the apartment and the Wengen main street help to break it up for the kids (and with their motivation!). Check in was easy enough. The Interhome office is at the rear of the train station building which took a bit of time to figure out, but no issues once we did. The folks checking us in (and out) were extremely welcoming and helpful. Honestly, I can't stress enough how amazing this place is. We closed each day of our trip with dinner on the terrace with the beautiful mountain view. We often stayed out there to soak in the evening light. The sheep/goat/cow bells ringing all around ironically brought a sense of calmness and joy to us (they're not intrusive; more so background noise). Most vacation rentals come with some level of let down or inaccuracy, but this one completely hit the mark for us. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting, even with little ones!

Stunning apartment!

Simply stunning apartment. Both the external appearance, the internal quality fixtures and fittings, plus the views from the rooms / balcony. All stunning. Very high quality bedding and the kitchen amenities superb. We travelled there as a family of four and we all thoroughly enjoyed what the home had to offer. My Daugther loved the ‘loft space’, where she spent several hours revising. A perfect retreat!

Best Views in Wengen

Our apt. had wonderful views from every direction. Waking up with a coffee on the deck was so special - unbeatable view, birds chirping, cow bells ringing, peace and quiet. The only downside was the long walk uphill to the train station. Perhaps Interhome should have a shuttle for guests? Just a few small suggestions - have shampoo, Kleenex and a starter roll of paper towels. Otherwise the apartment was perfect.

Spectacular view

A Lovely apartment in a quiet location with a spectacular view. Beware that there is an extremely long steep path to get from the apartment to the train station, so it feels like you've already done a hike before you even get started. A taxi up to the train station is 25 CHF at the time of posting, in case you don't want to drag your luggage up the hill when returning to the airport. The 2 cons are the thick winter duvets on the beds during July and no basket to put laundered clothes in.

Beautiful stay

We loved our stay in our Wengen apartment! It’s a great place for fit people without mobility impairments. Wengen is a great jumping-off point for a stay in the Lauterbrunnen area; the train down to Lauterbrunnen comes every 1/2 hour and is only ~ 10 min. The apartment was clean, warm, well-appointed kitchen & had beautiful views. We could hear sheep and cow bells ringing from the local fields and see Staubbachfall from the windows & balcony. The front desk staff in Wengen were really helpful. -1 star because it may not be great for a some folks with mobility issues. The walk from the train station is only 1/3 mile, but most of that has a 14-20% grade (quite steep). The apt is down the steepest part of the road from most other places & there isn’t a dedicated courier. We called a taxi to take us up the 1/3 mile the last day because of an early September snow that left the streets wet and icy; carrying our luggage up a 20% grade with ice and slush wasn’t practical. The other days were fine for us, but had this trip been with my mom, we may have ended up paying 50 CHF/day just to get to and from the train station by taxi. FYI about staying in Wengen: Going up the mountain from Wengen isn’t included with the Swiss Travel Pass, so getting up to Mannlichen or Klein Schweitzer/Jungfrau/Eiger or over to the Grindelwald valley is additional $ if you don’t want to go down & through Lauterbrunnen. Wasn’t a problem for us bc the train ride to/from Wengen is so beautiful!

Grand et agréable

Très bonne location pour skier à Wengen. La distance à la gare et à Männlichen se fait oublier par le très pratique dépôt de ski gratuit (offert par Interhome) tout près des deux. Très recommandé pour une famille, l'appartement est vraiment spacieux, vue magnifique, et environnement très calme.

Grosszügig und ruhig

Als halber Stammgast gefällt mir die Wohnung immer wieder aufs Neue: Die Wohnung ist grosszügig, weist viel Platz auf und ist ruhig gelegen. MIt einem Schritt draussen kann ich gleich mit Sport loslegen. Kleine Minuspunkte sind die Schubladen unter den Dachschrägen, zumal es genug Platz an anderer Stelle hätte. Das langsame WLAN ist in den AGBs abgefangen, dennoch wäre es schön, wenn es hier schneller ginge.

grössszügig und mit guter Ausstattung

Die Wohnung bietet viel Platz zum Verweilen, ist hell, gut ausgestattet. Die Aussicht vom Balkon ist unverbaut. Auch in der Küche fehlt es an so gut wie nichts. Zwei kleine Kritikpunkte: Das WLAN ist langsamer als mein Handy. Und die Besteckschublade ist unter einer Dachschräge - dabei hätte es in anderen Schubladen noch Platz.
