Fabulous San Saba Stay

We had a wonderful one-night stay and especially loved the friendly cat on site. Sherri text us the check in code and was very communicative. I left my iPad behind and she let me know immediately when the housekeeper discovered it so I was able to return! Thank you for your hospitality!

50 year class reunion

Three sisters stayed Friday and Saturday nights in a cottage with two queen beds, sofa, TV. We used the refrigerator to store our vegetables and fruits for the reunion dinner. We had Everything we needed My husband and I stayed in a cottage Saturday. atmospere of the cottages. atmosphere.

San Saba

Nice room. Used black light to check room for cleanliness and found it was clean. Close to downtown. 2 problems - no sugar for coffee, and car wash across street. I mean, who uses a robo wash at 2am??? (I used to live in San Saba, remember when car wash was Nall's store, and Wildflower Lodge was Nall's court) I would stay here again and recommend it.

This is the room I reserved but they double booked it and I was given a different room and was told by text at 9am the next day, day of travel. I was told a would be refunded the difference but that hasn’t happened. I was told by text again that I would receive a call but never did. I was given a different room which was ok. The 2nd night the room would not unlock. Calls and texts went unanswered. Housekeeping came after I got hold of them after over an hour of sitting outside from 9pm till after 10. They let us in with their code. The host Sherri didn’t text back until 6 am the next morning just saying “lift up”. The next night at 9pm housekeeping was there and ended up letting me in again. This is a problem that needs addressed as it has been a problem in other reviews for the room I was given not this room I paid for. The lack of communication with the host is terrible. All I received were texts and a text 9 hours after being locked out is unacceptable. We will not be back nor recommend this place. We are moving to the area and needed a place to stay while we work on our new property. This was very stressful and I do know how to open a door. The lock needs replaced.

We didn't receive check-in information until we were on the road. That info should have been available before 6 a.m. for travelers. The wi-fi quit working apparently as more people logged into the network. Shower water was iffy, hard to regulate, the room was very close to the highway and noisy most of the night. The facility was clean! It would have been nice to have a mirror someplace besides the small bathroom!

Family Christmas.

I rented three rooms for my family to visit my grandmother for Christmas. This room was for my parents for two nights. The heater didn’t work. My parents tried calling and texting the number and couldn’t get a response. I was finally able to get in touch with Scott. He was perfectly fine to deal with. Sherri was very rude and very difficult. We found a dirty syringe in the bathroom on the cabinet. They did provide a space heater to use in the room because they couldn’t get anyone out there to look at the heater. I know that all bad reviews are blamed on the tenant because I’ve been looking at recent reviews. I rent from vrbo frequently and have never had such a bad time at a place. I will not stay here again. I highly recommend looking into other arrangements. This could be a very nice property but it is not taken care of.

We had to hunt for another room at 8:30pm

The room we reserved and paid for in advance was double booked, so when we went to check in, there were already bags inside the room. The manager said she was confused somehow about our reservation and apologized the next day. We had to hunt down other accommodations in the dead of night, which is not an easy thing to do in a small town with no available hotel space. After many texts, I got a refund. Advice: triple confirm your stay here.

Pet and solo traveler friendly

My dog and I had a good overnight stay. Sherri and Scott were extremely responsive and helpful. We were comfortable and felt safe. Also, I appreciated the cute decor and hot water for the shower!

Repeat Visitor

We love this little lodge! We travel to San Saba about once a month and have stayed at several places in town, this one is our favorite for our little family. Great price point, good amount of space, clean, and dead center of town. Also, the owner is very attentive. We had a question about something and she made sure that we were comfortable and that our needs were met. So glad that the Wildfllower is in San Saba!

Cute and homey

We loved our little house! It was close enough to town, so it made it convenient for going to the stores, restaurants and winery! We did the sip n stroll and had a blast!!! I would like to recommend a bigger trash can, and coffee filters (luckily i brought some). Otherwise, it was great! The samples of local coffee was a great touch!

The room matched the photos and everything was as described. The ceiling fan is nice since we always sleep with a fan and we forgot to pack one. Deadbolt didn't, deadbolt. Good soaps.

Absolutely wonderful Anniversary stay

We loved our stay at this quaint inn close to downtown San Saba. The owner went out of her way to make our anniversary trip very special. The lady taking care of the guests needs was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was nicely decorated and a nice size. It was super comfortable. It had a very nice outdoor sitting area to enjoy the pleasant evening weather. I would definitely stay here again.

Short hiking trip.

The lodge was perfect for our family of 5. Beds were comfortable. The room was clean. A/C blows air but not cold. Luckily, the weather was cool at night so we didn’t needed. Restaurants were close by, but most of them closed on Sunday. The place was 30 minutes from Colorado bend state park and an hour from Enchanted Rock. Thank you Ms. Foster for letting us stay at your property and respond to us quickly to all our needs.

Short San Saba getaway

We enjoyed our stay here! The location is right near all the cute “hot spots” in town and a short drive to Colorado bend. The property staff were wonderful and our dog had peaceful and comfortable time as well. Thanks!

Cozy cabin for a quick getaway

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here! The rental is on the main street in San Saba and was close to downtown as well as the Great San Saba River Pecan Co (where you can pick your own pecans or buy fresh pecan goodies). It was convenient and a great place to spend the night before more hiking.

Holiday getaway

Cute little cabin. No cookware for microwave but made do with what I had brought for my trip. Quiet, bed was very comfortable. Had great weekend away!
