Renowned for Trout in spring with Bass and bluegill in summer, and trout again in fall., this stream is an ideal size and quality (levels naturally vary with weather conditions).
OTHER FISHING experiences include the famous Shad run a few miles downstream on the Bushkill Estuary of the Delaware River. RESICA FALLS FLY FISHING PRESERVE is just a few miles upstream (SAME CREEK! a short car ride) where you can sightsee the outstanding falls (free) or enjoy renowned catch-and-release trout water year-round (small donation requested by BSA) and HUNTING with special permit! Our family's history began in the New York area. Our parents wanted us to have an escape where we could reconnect without all the pressures. We met here as kids, grew up together, married 35 years ago and now share it with family and friends!
Every time we come up we discover something new in and around this creek paradise: about nature, about ourselves, about each other, in ways never possible in the city or the suburbs at home. The experience always rewards us, and we would love to share it with you!
There's a season for every interest... Bald Eagles, Red Tailed Hawks, Great Blue Heron, King Fishers, Wild Turkey (sometimes in large flocks!), several species of ducks and many other birds visit often, along with an abundance of buck and doe with red/grey/black squirrels frequenting the nurturing creek valley, while mink, beaver, otter, fox, raccoon and the occasional black bear sneak by from time to time especially appearing to the the quiet observer over morning coffee. The stream is well stocked with trout in the spring and natives and holdovers can generally be found ALL YEAR (see fishing license reqs. and restrictions). Small mouth bass action fills in hot summer gaps, or you can access the prime water at Resica Falls Scout Reservation "year round" (they request a small voluntary donation for amazing spring fed water just a few miles upstream (SAME STREAM!) and now offer hunting...INQUIRE!). Every time we come up we discover something new in and around this creek paradise: about nature, about ourselves, about each other, in ways never possible in the city or the suburbs at home. The experience always rewards us, and we would love to share it with you!
There's a season for every interest... Bald Eagles, Red Tailed Hawks, Great Blue Heron, King Fishers, Wild Turkey (sometimes in large flocks!), several species of ducks and many other birds visit often, along with an abundance of buck and doe with red/grey/black squirrels frequenting the nurturing creek valley, while mink, beaver, otter, fox, raccoon and the occasional black bear sneak by from time to time especially appearing to the the quiet observer over morning coffee. The stream is well stocked with trout in the spring and natives and holdovers can generally be found ALL YEAR (see fishing license reqs. and restrictions). Small mouth bass action fills in hot summer gaps, or you can access the prime water at Resica Falls Scout Reservation "year round" (they request a small voluntary donation for amazing spring fed water just a few miles upstream (SAME STREAM!) and now offer hunting...INQUIRE!). Local hotels are wildcards that offer little intimacy and even less personal touch. This is our home that we share with you! Of course, you can cram a small family (really good friends?) into the "two double beds in one room" hotel arrangement (if available) or pay for two rooms with queen beds and still not even come close to this home's offerings. Upgrades to a so-called suite (when you can find one) in the brand hotels are much less than sweet, where they justify outrageous rates for "spaces" which are often without actual doors to separate bed "rooms" from living "areas." If you prefer to make a dinner or such on your vacations with a kitchenette they're often tiny and outdated. Our goal is to MAKE OUR HOME, YOUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME! This home and experience are exactly what we hope to find when we travel though can't always find.

2 spacious private bedrooms (full closets) each with high quality beds and luxurious bedding welcome the weary travel and ready the adventurer for the fullest days imaginable. Within the clean modern bathroom, a full body massage shower helps unwind stress and rejuvenates for another day. The full kitchen (no dishwasher) with full fridge/freezer and ice maker (filtered "zero" water and FRESH ice for EACH guests' stay) provides ample space for a big dinner, or a quick snack. We have also filled the kitchen with everything we find ourselves looking for including flatware, dishes, mugs and bowls, and also quality pots, pans and cutlery as well as the "little things" such as meat thermometer, corkscrew wine bottle opener, colander, peeler, wisk, pizza tray & cutter, spatulas, tongs plus a waffle maker and more! There's also an outdoor grille and grilling tools if you bring some charcoal/lighter fluid...
Once you book we will ask for a copy of your driver's license and your clean sanitized home experience will be awaiting your arrival!
For you additional safety you will be issued an EXCLUSIVE ENTRY KEY CODE on the day of your reservation which you can begin any time after 4:30pm on the first day with a 'no-contact' self check in (check for alt. time availability+FEE). Depart by 10:30am on your last day by securing the premises (check out list provided) and message us. We will complete the check out process and clear your deposit accordingly (note: accidents happen! In such a case, please contact us as soon as possible).
