Akumal est un pittoresque village de pêcheurs où chaque jour est marqué par la beauté et le temps extraordinaire est mesurée seulement par le soleil et la marée. Playa Blanca # 3 est une copropriété rez de chaussée situé sur Half Moon Bay à Akumal. Asseyez-vous sur votre terrasse de cet immeuble en copropriété en bord de mer; profiter des brises tropicales et de prendre dans les impressionnantes vues impressionnantes sur l'océan. Amazing!

Check in quick and efficient. View was just gorgeous, beds super comfy, La Buena Vida restaurant is a must see, and XelHa was totally awesome! Having drinking water in condo was nice. We could not find ice at any stores however. Would definitely recommend for other renters.

Magnifique logement et emplacement

Nous avons adoré cet appartement en RDC face à la mer, très bien situé et avec tout ce dont vous avez besoin, grand et joliment décoré. Le quartier Half moon bay est très calme. Et nous avons pu faire de la plongée masque tuba chaque jour face à l'appartement. Le petit déjeuner face à la mer au levée du soleil : un vrai bonheur. Les conseils partagés par la propriétaire sur les restaurants nous ont été très utiles, et nous ont permis de sortir des sentiers battus (super resto à Akumall pueblo). Le gardien qui s'occupe du jardin et de la plage était très professionnel! Place de parking en face de l'immeuble. Et petite épicerie à 2 pas pour dépanner. A 1h du site de Coba et à 20 minutes de Tulum. Bref nous recommandons vivement et espérons pouvoir y retourner un jour!

Akumal at it's best!

The unit is as described, comfortable beds, updated floor tile and bathrooms. Exceptionally clean. Location is great, sit on the front patio in the morning sun. No sea weed last week of February, 2020. Note that the coral sand beach is rocky, so getting to waist deep water is somewhat of a challenge, bring water shoes. But once past the rocks, you can swim out to the reef where there are colorful tropical fish, sea turtles and rays. We will be back.

Breathtaking views

Our arrival to akumal was a breeze! The condo is just as it appears on the VRBo site! Open your sliding doors to beachfront view! We had a couple days of rough wind and rough waves but rest of vacation the water was calm! Air condition in rooms worked great! Showers were quick due to hot water not lasting long but it was okay! Our last night in akumal we ate at LO HA which is off the main road where the shops are and we wished we had stopped there sooner great vibes!!!

Beautiful. The water is just steps away. When we were there there was a lot of seaweed that washed up, but easy to step over and get your snorkel on!

Perfect location!!

Our family of 4 stayed at this condo for 5 wonderful days. Impeccably clean, the linen smelled so fresh and the beds are really comfortable. Both bedrooms have air conditioning and the wifi worked really well. The seaweed was pretty bad during our stay but we walked a little ways to the north along the beach (close to La Lunita) for snorkeling and it was fantastic. Amazing spot in a wonderful area, can’t wait to go back!!

FAbulous location for all the area activities!

We loved staying right on half moon bay... we didn’t let the wind or the seaweed pause our activity... highlights were: eating dinner with the locals in the pueblo... cenote xunaan-ha In cheymuil... walking down to the lagoon to snorkel... xel-ha... coba ruins and tulum ruins and beach right next door. We rented a car in tulum and definitely needed it to access the activities surrounding the area.

Very nice condo on an uncrowded beach. The owner and local management were super helpful. Put your guide book away. The owners’ guide tells you every thing you need to know about restaurants and local activities!

Beautiful Beachfront Condo

This condo has a perfect location! Walk out your back door right onto the beach. It has everything you need to be comfortable. The owners were easy to work with and sent us a packet of information on the Akumal area that was very helpful.

Great condo right on the beach!

Our family recently stayed at this condo and had a wonderful time! There is nothing like being right on the beach and hearing the waves all day and all night. The owner gave us a huge packet of information with details on restaurants, activities, shopping, etc. and it was very helpful. The weather was perfect, the water temperature perfect, and swimming with the sea turtles at the next bay to the south (Akumal) was a great experience! Thank you for sharing this great vacation spot!

Perfect spot on Half Moon Bay!

Lovely condo in the center of Half Moon Bay in North Akumal. Second stay at this great apartment. Beautifully landscaped, friendly and helpful grounds and house keepers. Just a short walk to several convenience shops and restaurants. Close to Yal-ku Lagoon for great snorkeling. Awesome snorkeling just steps off the patio in Half Moon Bay. The turtles were nesting every night. A great base for all the major tourist sites throughout the Yucatan. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. Do yourself a favor and stay here! We are ready to book again!

Our trip to paradise

Stayed here for 5 nights with my husband and 18-year-old son and had the most relaxing vacation ever. The condo is beautiful, comfortable, clean, and furnished with everything you might need to feel at home (WiFi, a/c, comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen...). But the best part is that the unit is only a few steps from Half Moon Bay. Gorgeous location and much more peaceful than Akumal Bay. When we weren't in the water or exploring nearby cenotes and attractions (recommend renting a car), we were relaxing on the patio and enjoying the ocean breeze. Sandy was easy to work with and provided an incredibly helpful insider's guide to Akumal. Highly recommend this condo.

Super Sunny Beach Condo

We just returned from Akumal. My husband and I and another couple shared this condo. We go mostly to just relax and get away from the Midwest's cold winter. This was our second visit to Akumal and my second time renting from Sandy, the owner. The condo was wonderful and is just as described on this site and in the photos. It is so sunny in the mornings you practically need to put on sunglasses. You are as beachfront as you can get. The ocean breeze keeps the condo a comfortable temperature, at least it was for us and we never used the A/C. It is clean and and well-equipped. Beds are very comfortable and high quality linens are provided. There are plenty of lounge chairs on the beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The young man who takes care of the grounds told us about bike rentals available a few buildings down and we rented them for the week to get between the 2 beaches. This worked well for our group. There are numerous restaurants, grocery stores, and tour services nearby. The snorkeling was fantastic-we snorkeled all but one day at both Half Moon Bay and Akumal Beach. Sandy was wonderful to work with. She promptly answers any questions you might have, and helped to accommodate us for an early arrival on our first day. We plan to return to Akumal and would not hesitate to rent this condo again.

Beachfront condo in Akumal! A vacation in paradise!

This condo was amazing...step right out onto a beautiful beach. The staff and the owners took very good care of us. The beds were very comfortable, and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay in Akumal. We were able to snorkel right in front of the condo, and saw sea turtles both in the water and on the sand. We had a wonderful time, and will definitely be back to this piece of paradise!

Wow!

We split our trip between Akumal and Isle Mujeres and wish we had spent the whole time here. The unit is wonderfully decorated and better than advertised. Being directly on the beautiful Half Moon Bay was fabulous with kids (5,5,7 yrs) as we could come and go between the beach and the condo in seconds.. Sandra was wonderful to work with and very responsive giving information and recommendations from an insider perspective - exactly the reason I love renting from vrbo rather than staying in hotels. The only thing I wished I'd known is that April can be super windy. Akumal has some of the most amazing snorkeling I've done; much better than all the Hawaiian Islands! There is a restaraunt a few minutes walk down the beach that we ate at multiple times because it had 2 treehouses that entertained the kids. We rented a car and driving was very easy. Went to Coba with no problems. All in all a great vacation.

The best vacation ever

We have been to Mexico numerous times and spent them in an all inclusive resort. This was our first condo stay and a very positive one at that! We loved the condo and the relaxation that came with it! Only steps from the ocean, and everything you could need. Loved the nice Baby Q grill that was included. The area was beautiful and so many great places to eat. One of the reasons this vacation was so great was the way the condo owner worked with us. She was very quick to respond to my inquiry and and questions I had. She also provided a very detailed information sheet about the various restaurants, getting groceries, and things to do while there. She was very accommodating and for us that was huge. Can't go wrong on this one unless your looking for a pool as there isn't one but for us that didn't matter. We were on the beach with plenty of beautiful water!! Also, we loved having a maid come in daily, it was nice to have that touch like you'd have at an all inclusive. That made it feel like a vacation! We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Sandy;)

Perfect Condo!

Our family of four stayed at Playa Blanca #3 for a week in late March 2012. We were hesitant to book at first because we had never rented a ground floor condo before but we absolutely loved being on the ground floor. You are two steps to the sand and a few more to the water. There is a sitting area on the roof if you want to experience the view. The condo was very clean, the kitchen was well-equipped, the beds were comfortable and the staff were pleasant. This condo is only a few buildings from La Buena Vida and is within easy walking distance to central Akumal. The owner was in touch prior to the visit and was very helpful. The only issue we had was that all of the air conditioners did not work and one of the bedrooms tended to be hot (although the other rooms were mostly fine without AC). This was a relatively minor issue though and we did not mention it to the manager. Our family will likely plan to stay here again the next time we are in Akumal.

What a Perfect Beach Condo

My family recently stayed at Playa Blanca in this unit and had a great time. The location is perfect. We had the thrill of seeing a Sea Turtle lay eggs 15 feet from the back porch and another turtle nest hatched the same night. We look forward to staying there again. Be sure to try the great snorkeling in the area and visit our good friends in the Akumal Pueblo at Tequilaville for a great meal and great prices. We love Akumal!

We liked it very much!

We agree with the previous review: this is a very nice place: walk out direct on the beach, large two-bedroom apartment (even though we were only two) , clean and nicely decorated (just watch photos) , friendly staff as are most of Mexican people around, we enjoyed the safe surroundings , and wi-fi is very helpful to see thru internet how cold it was in France while we were bathing in the warm Carribean sea! Cellular is a plus, just in case of an emergency! Or to call for a taxi. Because we chose not to have a car all the time (we have stayed for two weeks and a half on the Mayan Riviera) . We enjoyed the whole last week in Playa Blanca very much. It is not far walking to Yal Ku Lagoon for snorkeling and not too far either walking to Akumal centre. Great beach condo with lots of extras!

We have visited Akumal many times, this is the first time we have had a ground floor unit on the beach. We all loved it! The beach was just an extension of the condo. It was great to be able to walk right out the door and snorkel in Half Moon Bay. We read, napped and ate on the beach, relaxing either in the sun or shade. Playa Blanca #3 is light, bright and airy. Folding doors from the master bedroom open out to the living area and to the beach, such a beautiful and relaxing view. The kids had their own space at the back of the condo, so we all had plenty of room. The staff was friendly and helpful. I have to admit, everyone used the wireless internet some, it was nice to be able to stay in touch with those back home. We even watched the TVs one night - and it helped us learn Spanish with the subtitles - educational TV! Terrie and John K.
