This well-appointed top-floor vacation rental getaway is located at Leeward Key. It is located across the street from the Gulf of Mexico. It features breathtaking views of the Gulf and tropical landscaping from the balcony and the living room. To access the Gulf-front balcony, you just take a stroll through the living room. Tile flooring is featured in the living room, kitchen, dining area, and bathrooms. The primary bedroom has a private bathroom with a jetted tub.

Other unique features included in the rental unit are Corian countertops, a double-door refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, dishes, pots, pans, and utensils, so cooking any meal is easy. The round solid wood table has seating for game playing or dining, and additional chairs are at the bar. For nighttime entertainment, turn on one of three TVs or pop a DVD in one of the three players. This condo also has the additional benefit of a stackable washer/dryer.

Very Cozy

We loved the views from the balcony on this condo. You don’t really realize you are not right on the beach. It is a very short walk to the private access gate to the beach. We will definitely be back to Leeward Key again!!

Great Location, Less Than Great Condo

If you want a great location, with beautiful views, this is perfect. However, if you plan to eat in at all, be prepared to bring cookware etc. They had a few odd and ends but the pots were dirty or broken, no cutting board and oven kits. Very hit and miss. When we notified them about missing items or dirty dishes, as VACASA always does in my experience, they say they will send someone and never do. So the view is great but I’d find another condo to stay in if you don’t want to basically pack as if you’re going camping

Needed new couch that is Quality.

Love location & facility. Needed new couch that would be high quality. The one in 1204 was a piece of junk. We had to go to Lowe’s & buy plywood to put under cushions.

Heaven on the 12th floor

Unit 1204 had everything you needed. My only complaint was the master bedroom bed. That needs replaced asap!! The beach out front was absolutely amazing😎

We booked thru VRBO, but property managed by Vacasa. Had a horrible time getting any responses from the property manager. When we arrived at 5:15 on a Sunday, the unit had not been cleaned or serviced. Luckily we found a person still working at a local office, otherwise we would have had to choose between cleaning the place ourselves and having no clean linens or leaving and trying to find another place to stay. The property manager failed to respond to over 20, yes twenty attempts to get resolutions. This was the absolute work check in and management experience in over 20 years of traveling. I will NEVER book through Vacasa again. It took over a month to get a live personal to call me back and that only happened because I documented to them the repeated attempts to contract them. We were told the owners had just left and that the unit was not even set up to be cleaned, eventhough we had booked the place months in advance. The view was amazing. After the unit was serviced, it was clean and the unit itself and the location was great. But, Vacasa as a company has a lot to learn. Do not take a chance with them. It could ruin your trip.

Not as advertised. Old Pics used to advertise. Arrived to find old, rundown, musty smelling condo

Went to celebrate the life of a loved one we lost. The outside of the building at the Leeward Key was great. The inside was so disappointing. Old, rundown, musty smelling, dirty condo. Toilet running, clogged sink and tub, filthy stained carpet in the master bedroom, furniture all beat up, inside of kitchen drawers were filthy, icemaker didn't work, TV in the living room and guest bedroom didn't work and the only channel that came thru was FX....not a good channel for 60-year-olds, and the list goes on and on. Whenever we communicated with Vacassa, basically all we got was a "canned" answer/response. One day it raine and we were stuck in the condo, it was not a good day. No TV, no ice, etc. Small bags of ice could be purchased for $4.00 a bag for very small bag.. The tub in the master bedroom is old and the drain is rusted. We tried to spend most of our time at the pool and the beach. KUDOS to the caretakers of the pool and the grounds. We recorded our stay, the drive down, coming and going at the condo, etc. To our surprise, after we were well on our way driving home, we get a call from the Vacassa office. They left a message saying there was an issue with the arm bands. Luckily we documented the condo as we found it and how we left it, as well as all 3 arm bands being left in the condo. I called the Vacassa office back 3-4 times to discuss the message they left me about the arm bands, but 4 days later, still haven't heard anything from them. Recommend DO NO RENT condo.

Wonderful 12th Floor View

We had a wonderful time. The guest services team was very responsive to our two (2) onsite requests. The property could use a little updating here and there, but generally very enjoyable.

Ahh just okay

Pros - the view is amazing, love the very short walk to the beach. Cold ac, nice working fridge and unit came with washer and dryer. We loved that the beach was very private. Cons - both bathrooms are very outdated, especially master bathroom. Master bath does not drain, water sits on top of your ankles. Towel hooks are all coming off the walls. Kitchen appliances having missing parts that are shown. All three beds are hard as rocks. Passcode wasn’t working to get inside, nobody down at the lobby, you will have to call customer service.

Good place to stay

Good condo with great amenities. Pool off the beach was a hit to bounce back and forth from the ocean. Gym was nice. Pool in the back was massive and served us well. The home was clean and well put together. The balcony had amazing views. It was quiet. We felt safe.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay over the 4th of July weekend. Everything is conveniently located. We prefer this side of Destin, because the kids can rent golf carts, mopeds, bikes, scooters etc and drive up and down the strip vs. West side of Destin (all hwy). Awesome view and great stay.

The view of the gulf was spectacular from this unit. Also loved the private heated pool. Kitchen was well equipped minus other spices. Only has salt/pepper. Condo was clean and fairly updated except the bedroom carpet. Definitely needs replaced/ old and stained. All in all though, nice condo

The place was beautiful we had a issues

The view was amazing, we enjoyed the condo for the most part. The gulf was crystal clear, the pool was refreshing. The issues we had was the pull out bed was filthy and couldn't be used so we had to buy an air mattress, and we washed our clothes only to find out the dryer was most working. I called for maintenance and I was told a maintenence guy would come up but he didn't show. I called the next day and he showed up but there was no way.to repair the dryer. That really sucked Other than that we had a great time.

Better than expected

Very spacious condo overlooking the beach. The view is absolutely gorgeous and the sound of the waves is very soothing. Quick walk across the street to the private beach access & 2 private pools on site. Would definitely stay here again.

Small Family Get Away

The best thing about this home is the views and location. The home and decor was beautiful. When you walk in the first thing that captures your eye is the amazing view of the ocean. There is enough room to fit 6-8 people very comfortably. It has a good size kitchen if you decide to stay in and cook. The master room has a king size bed and full size bathroom with plenty of room. You also have a beautiful view of the ocean seen through the master window. The 2nd room has enough space for 2-3 people with a full size bathroom. You have private access to the beach, which is literally across the street less than 2 min away. You also have access to the pool and to 2 beach chairs that are complementary with the room. There are nearby restaurants to have dinner with the family or go out and get some ice cream. You can also find nearby locations to rent a bike or golf cart. The home and location were very family friendly, relaxing, and beautiful! My family and I would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful view and condo

You cannot put a price on being right across from the ocean and hearing the waves. This unit is on the 12th floor. There is a small road between the condos and the beach. There are 2 pools, one right on the beach and one behind the condo. The one on beach was heated and made for a place to swim even in Feb. Kenny D’s is right next door, great small diner. Bad Ass Coffee is within walking distance, as are several other restaurants. The location is great. The condo was exactly as pictured. Washer and dryer in unit. The rooms were decorated very vacation, beach themed. Unit had everything that was needed as far as utensils. Would recommend this unit to anyone. Enjoyed the sunsets, and in Feb basically had a private beach to ourselves.

Good condo with great view and location

Overall condo is very good. View and balcony is awesome. A few minor end of season repairs for towel rods and TP holders pulled away from walls and tile grout needs a deep cleaning. However, it is near the end of season and understandable given the small window for cleaning between rentals. I would rent this condo again for sure.
