hotel outside, motel inside

Lack of maintenance. Faucet of the shower leaks, towels are old with stain. Coffee maker is broken. The glass plate in the microwave does not move with the plate holder. Breakfast is OK, but far from tasty, low quality stuff.

Old property, heavily bleached room and friendly service

The checkin was easy and the front desk personnel was friendly and helpful. We came in in the evening and went to Universal the next day and could leave some of our large luggage items behind the front desk for the day even though we weren't staying there a second day. The bathroom is very sober. It has a piece of soap but no soap dish to put it on, for example. We didn't shower, as I didn't dare take my flip flops off inside the hotel. There are cracks in the ceiling and wall corners and there was even a piece of plaster on the bathroom floor. One of the two beds was slept on - the duvet was wrinkled and the cushions were clearly depressed by someone's head. The other bed looked fine. The TV is old, no bluetooth streaming or apps on the TV to stream your own accounts. Half the light bulbs worked, all light bulbs were well below the shade basically blinding you when you look at it. It didn't feel like the A/C was keeping up with the temp we had it set for (70F). All of these things we can live with. What was problematic is a very strong bleach smell in the room and in the hallway. I have very light asthma, I use my inhaler a few times per year, and I ended up needing it because of the chemicals we were inhaling as we were trying to sleep. We had quite a bit of luggage as we just came from a week of diving in the Keys, so I powered through best I could without requesting to change rooms. Changing rooms would have maybe helped get rid of the severe bleach odor, but I think the impression we got from the room would have applied equally to other rooms. The room was inexpensive, and if that's what you're after, the location and its proximity to Universal is very good. For me, I won't be staying at this location again.

An Amazing Experience!

The hotel is located on International Drive, 5-8 minutes from many attractions, such as Universal Studios, Fun Spot, and Icon Park. The service was terrific, and the rooms were clean. Would book again!

Run down old property

Run down old property that had lots of wear and tear. One of the mattresses was so worn out you could see the sag in the middle as soon as we walked in the door. Shower curtain and rod were loose/broken. Curtains were hard to open/close and would jam. AC worked well but was very loud. Room was very dark due to 1 of 3 lamps that worked. Found a used facemask under the blanket on our sheets.
