Myself my wife and some family stayed at this home, which was absolutely beautiful. Everything was very clean, once we figured out the ceilings fan, those were great. The owners were easy to access and very prompt with communication. The ocean was a bit disappointing because unless it was high tide, the ocean water was a mile walk from the beach. 2 mile round trip, my wife and I actually measured the walk. The Resort was great, the food in the restaurant was really good. 25 minute drive to town made it pretty convenient. Security was great and diligent and overall it was a great time. We would highly recommend this spot to anyone.
This was a great place to stay. The reviews are accurate that the tide is usually about 1 mile out, but there were great shells and crabs to watch. We had 8 people staying with us and the dishwasher is not for guest use which is unfortunate. Make sure to bring paper plates and zip lock bags. Enjoyed that it was not over crowded.
So let me start off by saying that the location is extremely secure , makes you feel so safe, the house was absalutely spectacular me and my wife we're able to enjoy our own private beach , listen i can go on and on about this place but for my family and I it was serenity at its finest i thank you for allowing us to create the memories we did in your home they will last forever. Sincerely Danny Vara
Beautiful property and resort! Enjoyed the fact it was about 30 min out of the city but very easy to get there! Loved watching the tides, the restaurant was delicious and Jessica was friendly and helpful! My only recommendation would be a softer master bed! Other than that we loved it!
Great time. Watching the tide come in and go out was interesting. House was great for our group and the location was great. The restaurant food and the staff did not disappoint.
Home was absolutely beautiful. Not very close to water because of low tide, but the home is about 10-15min drive to playa Bonita. House is very close to all amenities the resort has to offer. Lots of different places to hang out with beautiful views. Would definitely visit again.
We are a family of 11. We loved that it was walking distance from the pool. The pool is deep enough for the kids to swim safely (my youngest is 6 years old) and for the adults to be having a good time with the pool bar. The only thing we didn't like was that the 3rd room was outside the house, therefore one family had to walk out of the house to sleep.
The house is nice and has a 4th bedroom and 3rd bath, but they are locked and unavailable to guests. Plus there was hardly any extra bedding for the sofa couches. Only 3 extra light blankets and no extra pillows. I just wish the add would have explained that this was not available as a 4 bedroom 3 bath as advertised. Luckily I also had a room with Laguna shores to make up the difference. The home is very nice and close to the beach. Would be perfect for 3 couples.
We lived out experience at laguna shores and will go back. All staff was friendly and accommodating! They genuinely seemed happy we were there! Restaurant was incredible, 5 star. Very quiet! Low tide provides incredible opportunity for seeing aquatic wildlife and a fun hike all the way to shoreline. Only drawback was that we visited at a time when temps were low enough to make ocean swimming tough and the main pool isnât heated. Thankfully our kids had the small heated pool to themselves. Easy access to fishing port and shopping and the security made us feel safe and welcome. This was the perfect house for us!
Nice house but when it's low tide in that area as it was the entire time we stayed, the water is a "long" way away and you have to walk through sludge to get to it. It also stunk and was warm water. We had to drive to another beach 30 minutes away to enjoy a beach.
Regarding the property:
1. There are no paper towels so bring your own.
2. Other then the family room, there were no batteries in the bedroom fan remotes so you cannot make any adjustments. We figured out if we took the one out of the family room we could make the adjustment and then return the battery back to the family room remote. Problem solved!
3.The Barbeque in the patio works but not the starter spark so bring matches or a lighter and then it will start.
4.There are no measuring cups or whisks in the kitchen so bring them if you are going to do any cooking.
5.The stove overhead vent light and fan did not work while we were there.
6. There were 2 times we needed to use the stove and we realized there is no temperature indicator so you basically turn the knob and guess what temp you have set it to.
7.The refrigerator light does not come on when you open door.
8. The dishwasher is not for guests so be prepared to wash all your dishes by hand.
9. The only TV in the house is in the family room and it's not a large one. None in the bedrooms!
Other then that we had a good time. We have stayed at many VRBO's and were just a little surprised this time by these items.
Otherwise, had a good time!
Couldnât have asked for a better place to stay or a better location. I had a little hiccup checking in, that was completely my fault. The owner responded instantly and help resolve the issue immediately. The pictures of this house do not do it justice. It is certainly the best house and location in Laguna Shores.
Everything was perfect, communication was by far the best we have had in VRBOâs. The house was beautiful fully stocked. Would recommend to anyone looking to have a large group and a tremendous time! Canât wait to reserve again for our next family getaway!
Rented this house for 3 nights. We were a party of 9. The house was spacious, had beautiful views and was well stocked. The drive to Puerto Penasco was about 20 minutes but we didnât mind. The home is water front for a few hours of the day, when the tide goes down itâs still gorgeous. The community pool is great. Friendly staff, beautiful view, nice pool, great drinks and food. It felt like a resort. We canât wait to go back.
No dishwasher, water filtration and fire ants infestation
While the house was a good size, close to the beach and very pretty we had a few issues that others should be aware of. First, the mattresses are extremely hard so that we all had issues sleeping. The dishwasher was obviously broken for some time and we were not told until 2 days before and we were a party of 8. What was also concerning was the lack of toilet paper, no water filtration system and the the kitchen becoming infested with thousands of fire ants. I reached out to alert the management about the thousands of ants and the reply was sorry for the inconveniece there should be bug spray under the sink or in the laundry room. No, there was no big spray nor gloves so of course my hands got bitten as I tried cleaning up the biting ants with a sponge before having to go buy bug spray on top.of the toilet paper, paper plates and cups. Finally, while Laguna Shores Beach is pretty when the tide is high beware that when the tide is low its recedes about 2 miles out so any water sports are not accessible.
Hit all the marks! Just the beach here is interesting. High tide comes within 200 meters of the house, low tide can be up to quarter mile out. Mud flats, lots of clam and crabs, pretty cool!
First, we had to drive all around to find out where to check in. The resort decided to change the main office to check in without notice and without any signs (signs were starting to go up towards the end of our stay). Three vehicles driving around in circles (with two little babies) was a bit much after a 4 hour drive. Went to unlock Casita and realized, once locked all you had to do was lightly push and the door opened (the entire door frame was broken). Very unsafe! Went to open a cabinet in the kitchen and the cabinet door fell off the hinges. Opened another cabinet and the handle fell right off in our hand. My son took his 1 and 3 year old in the little cute yard area which was a safe place.... so we though.... until his 3 year old fell out a gate that just was leaning against the wall off it's hinges. The next morning, we went to use the microwave and it didn't work. The TV router didn't work.... so the fact that a Smart TV was advertised, it was useless.... thankfully, my son had the foresight to bring his FireStick.... so we had something to watch on the TV. Once we contacted the Rental Agent, the Casita door and back gate were fixed within 24 hours. The microwave was not replaced/repaired. Now.... the most misleading fact about the listing.... it states "feet from the beach"..... well.... unfortunately, that does not mean you are "feet from the water". Most of the time, the "tide is low".... when the tide is low..... on certain days, we were about a mile from the water!!! NO EXAGGERATION!!! And..... when the tide was low.... you could not walk to the water edge because the mud from the dunes edge to the waterline was impossible to walk on... you sunk almost up to your knees. We had to drive one half hour to find a public beach. A beach was the purpose of the trip!! It was difficult to truly enjoy the roof top deck at night because it is not lighted. The pool was in need of repair along the edges. The pool is completely tiled.... there were a number of tiles that we dislodged and laying in the bottom of the pool. The location of the house was excellent (the best house location in the community) .... it was a very short walk to the pool, amenities and the restaurant (which was excellent and very reasonably priced).
This house is in the Laguna Shores resort located 15-20 mins away from downtown Malecon. The resort is calm and relaxing, just the place to be for a relaxing vacation with your family or a group of friends. Plan activities such as swimming in the pool, playing beach volleyball, ridding bikes, or a friendly game of tennis. The tide fluctuation on this beach allows you to enjoy kayaking, beach combing or simply enjoy the afternoons unique sunset Penasco has to offer.
