Thank you for your feedback. Being so close to the ocean, the salt water can damage handles and metal items. We do regular maintenance and yearly replacement of damaged items every January/February, but it seems like this handle did not last the 12 months...we will work on it now. I guess this is the price we pay for being close to the ocean...but is ok, because we love the location!! I am very happy that you enjoyed your time there and we would love to have you back with us in the future.

I am very sorry that, despite our multiple interactions during your check-in day and after your departure, you still feel the same way. I am also sorry that, in addition to the negative comments, you did not share the positive comments that you had expressed to me. Seems like, regardless of the explanations, and my references to the documents and emails that you reviewed prior to making your payment, somehow seems like you might had not read them and that there was an expectation for a property different from what it is listed. Respectfully, I disagree that the posting is deceiving. No only is clearly stated in the amenities that the AC is in the bedrooms, it is also included in the initial email upon the reservation request. The same goes for the bathrooms, the grill, the washer and the dryer. The best an owner can do is to be up front with the clients and portray a clear and transparent picture of the apartment. It is difficult for me to make sure that you don't confuse our home with other properties you reviewed, or if the information provided was not read. Since you were dissatisfied, I offered a refund on the day of check in - which you declined - with the condition that the AC was repaired. Also, speaking of the AC, we want to clarify that we keep a regular maintenance contract every 3 months - more than required. Mechanical problems can happen, as did on your stay, and they were solved in less than 12 hours from your arrival. As of additional towels, there was no request for extra, nor I knew the number of guests coming. We would have gladly provided additional if this was stated in one of the many interactions we me or our local manager. Finally, I am saddened to hear that you only ate at Ritamar, which is mostly a convenience store with a small deli. There are many local restaurants along the coast, walking distance from the apartment, accross the street, and in the neighborhood. Also fast food restaurants are within a 10 mile radius, and late dining in the nearby town of Mayaguez - all of which is detailed in the welcome booklet available at the apt. Unfortunately, there was no way to satisfy your needs and now I have this bad review - the first one since we made our home available for rental. Please note, this is my home in Puerto Rico, and I treat it with the love and care that it deserves as I welcome others to enjoy the lovely (and hot) southwest of this Caribbean island.

We strive to provide the apartment with the most amenities and luxury in the area for the price. We understand that not everything in the apartment will be to the liking of every guest, but we are glad that the majority recognize that they receive more than what they pay for compared to other inns. We cannot promise to modify the apartment for each guest, but we do promise that they will have a great time in it and in one of the most spectacular places in PR.
