The condo was bigger than it looked like it would be in the pictures. Two of the three bathrooms were updated and spacious. The third bathroom attached to the twin room is small and cramped and better suited for children than adult adults. The kitchen was pretty well appointed however could definitely use a new larger nonstick skillet and some better knives. Overall, the condo was lovely. The location is fantastic right across the street from the beach path. Would definitely rent again.
This property was great. We really enjoyed the lay out for our family. It was clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was very well organized. Super close to the beach and the pool was very quiet and well kept. We would definitely stay here again!
Great spot on a great resort. Close to the beach, close to pools, and close to golf. The house was clean and everything worked. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back
Wyndham made everything super easy and were accommodating with our late check in time. Can walk to the beach and the Dunes area is so pretty. The condo was super comfortable. A great relaxing weekend away!
Had a wonderful stay. Place was great for 5 women. Only complaint is lock code was too long. Never could remember it. It also gave us allot of issues. Some times it took us 4-5 tries.
We are looking to stay there again next year on our girls annual trip
Our family of four enjoyed the spaciousness and convenience of the condo. We could walk to the beach or pool and made quick drives to IOP restaurants in just minutes. The kitchen was well organized with labels and offered newer appliances. The laundry room was right by the entry door and made clean up after the beach easy. We didn't have any neighbors while there, so no noise complaints either.
Very nice, well-equipped condo. Nice, open kitchen/dining/living area with a lovely screened in porch overlooking the golf course. Bedrooms were comfortable, with their own bathrooms, and on different levels away from the main living areas. The kitchen was pretty well equipped if wanting to eat in, which we did for breakfast and lunch. Wild Dunes is a pretty area, with plenty to do, and of course, the rest of IOP and Charleston are not too far away. I would definitely consider staying here again!
This is a lovely three level condo in Wild Dunes gated community on Isle of Palms. Beautifully coastal decor with easy access to the beach via a walking path directly across the street from the unit. The kitchen was well equipped and bed was comfortable in master bedroom. Having a coded entry was a plus because we didn't have to fear losing keys. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful and the only reason I did not give it a full 5 starts is due to stair rails need repainted and the great room deck soffet is showing some weather warping, but I would definitely stay here again because it is a quick access to all amenities and we loved all the bike and walking paths and beach access.
The bedding was dirty. The door code changed every day and locked us out.
The property is in a nice location but donât offer enough amenities for family to enjoy the beach like beach towels or sand toys. The bedding was dirty and had hair when we arrived. The window in the kitchen was broken and cannot be close. A door in the second level room did not close. The dryer did not work well. It took 3 hours to just dry each load of laundry. The carpet in the living and dining room are very rough and gave my kid splinter from walking on it. Then the door code changed every day randomly and locked us out. It was not a very pleasant experience for us.
Property was nicely decorated and roomy. Bedrooms were larger than many that barely seem to have room for furniture. Had some books and games for kids. TVs in bedrooms. Floor plan was good. However it is a three level with kitchen/LR on on top floor so bringing in lots of groceries required multiple steps. There are also about 4 steps to get into first floor of unit. We love Wild Dunes locations because of neighborhood vibe. Safe. Friendly. Pool was good and included shallow pool for toddlers. Kitchen/TV area is large and open. Lots of cabinets. Screened porch and three open balconies were great and allowed for some personal down time away from others. Large screen tv in LR. Couches were comfy. Beds were good. Baths were very nice. Itâs not real close to the beachâmore than a few blocks. We rented a golf cart which gave us speedier beach access and also enjoyed driving around each evening. Two overflowing trash bins were not emptied from prior occupants so we had to wait 2-3 days for someone to come empty those. We also had to buy our own kitchen trash bags and extra paper products as there werenât extras. Vacasa was great to keep in touch with us and made check in and out very easy. Would definitely stay there again. We had 3 adults and three children under 4 that stayed for the week. Also, thereâs no better beach than IOP!!
The condo was prefect for our family. We had 5 adults and plenty of room for all of us. There is a bathroom attached to each bedroom so nobody had to share. The living area is very comfortable and the screened porch is perfect for eating outside without the bugs getting you. The posted pictures are true to what the condo looks like.
There is plenty of walking paths around the condo for your morning/evening walk or run. The beach is less than a 5 minute walk with access directly across the street. The pool is big and plenty of room for multiple families to spread out and not bump into each other. Helpful hint, the pool access code did not work on the font gate. We could only get into the back gate. Lots of people were having the same issue as we did.
There were not many restaurants within walking distance but there were plenty if we jumped in the car. If you want to cook in the condo, there are plenty of pots, pans and utensils.
A few places to choose from to eat:
Shem Creek Bar and Grill - They had awesome shrimp and grits
Paiges Okra Grill - Get the Bloody Mary!
Shem Creek Seafood - They have fresh shrimp and fish if you want to cook at the condo. We made an amazing low country boil one night!
Charleston is about a 20 minute drive and we made a day out of it. The open air market is a must see. Make sure that you head down to the Battery too. Beautiful views and the houses are amazing to look at.
Over all, this was a great vacation. We would stay in the condo again and I highly recommend it. It was perfect.
Our 4 nights at Fairway Dunes on the Isle of Palms was lovely. The condo was as advertised and had plenty of spare blankets as the weather turned quite cold while we were there over New Yearâs. The bathrooms were a little dated but functional and there was plenty of space. The only item missing from the kitchen was a tea kettle, otherwise it was very well stocked!
The villa was comfortable. Great location. Minutes from the beach. Close drive to Charlestown. Wild dunes harbor course in great shape and fun to play. In the area again would definitely rent same villa.
We contacted Vacasa within an hour after arriving and FOUR different times within first 24 hrs of stay to let them know our toilet was missing a part & didn't work. Kitchen sink was backed up w food/water entire stay. Maintenance NEVER came. Couldn't use kitchen sink. Forced to spend hundreds of dollars eating all meals out. Kitchen smelled from backup. Vacasa promised maintenance would arrive within hour. No call, no maintenance. Called back FOUR times. Promised would be fixed in morning. At checkout Vacasa said "we have no maintenance working weekends and your plumbing issues were not considered urgent, so sorry" We spent over a thousand dollars for 3 nights. Never again
Very good except for the performance of the dishwasher. Also, when someone is staying for a month, you may want to consider having the cleaners visit at least once. Decor is a little worn and dated.
Overall a very nice unit located near the beach access. However, there was no indication in the listing that there would be no garage access nor was there 1 ceiling fan in the entire unit. We rent every year and have never experienced a locked garage, this greatly reduced storage. Ceiling fans, or lack there of, should be listed as that impacts the thermostat setting and overall comfort level day and night.
