Early May stay. New no-linens policy was fine but there was also no blanket. It was cool at night, I mentioned it to owners dad who was installing second dock and he found blankets for us that made rest of our stay more pleasant.
We had a wonderful stay. Almost every morning we saw a bald eagle in the tree by the cabin. Sitting on the dock watching the beautiful sunsets. We hope to return some day.
The cabin was very nice with adequate space in the living area, bedrooms and kitchen. But the bathroom was even smaller than expected. Yes, the listing has it as "very small" but "miniscule" would be more accurate. I'd liken it to an airplane toilet with a small shower. (The listing details should be edited. It shows a capacity of 12 which would be the total for all 3 cabins and 1.5 baths. Perhaps the other 2 have half baths?)
Great stay , very friendly owners, cottage got everything you need for stay by the lake.
The owner very nice and friendly.Bill very nice.Cottage had everything you need for staying by lake. Beautiful view. Have not one complaint! Thank you Jeff and family!
This cottage is perfect for a small group ( 2-4) on a fishing trip. It is not fancy but very comfortable and right on the water. Their is a small dock for your fishing boat, or you can fish from the dock.
The owner is very easy to communicate with and very accessible. We had one minor problem and it was resolved within 30 minutes.
We will return!
Cottage is very clean , was definitely nicer than we expected! Owner was on premises vacationing as well and was super nice and concerned that everything was perfect for us . Checked with us daily , very nice family . We brought our pontoon boat ,we had our own dock which was awesome, the view in the evening was beautiful every night we built a fire and watched the sunset .It really is the perfect little spot . Definitely want to return!!
This is the second time we stayed at Shore Haven and we loved it both times! Close to the lake and a place to dock our boat! We will be back next year!
We came out for a fishing weekend, but it rained the whole weekend, we got a little fishing in and it was nice to have a clean dry place to come back to. Would recommend 100%
Everything was nice. Plenty of everything....like towels. The only HUGE drawback was the bathroom. The room was way too small. The drain would not drain even after being plunged, so washed at the sink, at least I did. The water was not hot for long a true water smelled funny. Everything else was fine a d decorated very nicely.....farmhouse style. Also the microwave kept blowing fuses.
Beautiful setting on the lake, very easy no-contact rental. Cottage was clean, plenty of towels, dishes, utensils and paper products. We had a great time, and even caught some fish off the dock!
New owners have obviously made some upgrades. New paint job, new living room furniture and rugs. Window AC unit easily does the job for the whole place. Good WiFi and new tv if the weather is horrible.
Kitchen:
No oven (no space for it) but a clean toaster oven. Upgraded new stainless stove, clean fridge. Ample storage space available in kitchen. Dishes were new, and there were more than enough. Had all the pots and pans we needed. Coffee maker was full sized. Microwave. Plenty of kitchen towels, paper towels, garbage bags and dish liquid provided.
Outdoor space includes a Nice picnic table, comfortable chairs, and metal fire pit with a grate for grilling. Each of the 3 cabins has its own, so no need to share unless you want to. Provide your own wood/charcoal (wood available to purchase all over the place- pick some up on your way). Spot the eagles while you watch the sunset. This property is lake front.
Bathroom is not luxurious- but clean. Bathroom towels were plentiful and new. TP provided. Plenty of hooks provided both in the bathroom and in the bedrooms.
Beds had firm, comfortable mattresses, 2 pillows at each head. Extra blankets were very soft! Each bedroom also had a large oscillating fan stored in the closet.
Shared dock space protected with tires. We rented a pontoon from the Pymatuning Boat Livery which is directly across the lake- an easy 14 minute car drive for reliable boats.
Owner very responsive.
We have already recommended this property to several people, despite wanting to keep it a secret so it is available the next time we want to go. Thanks for a great time.
We enjoyed our stay in this little lakeside cottage. With great proximity to the water and two fire pits from which to choose, you canât go wrong. The host was kind and communicative. Weâll be back!
