This motel is located in one of the few historic buildings in Downtown Marceline. Boyhood home of Walt Disney! It is one of the few places to stay where you can walk to most attractions in this beautiful town. Disney museum, shopping, dining, nightlife, and attractions. Close street parking is available. Access to 24 hr. gym upon request. Check-out time is 12 pm and check-in is at 3 pm. Between these times is when the motel is cleaned so we ask guests to respect and acknowledge these times.

golf tournament

We stayed here as my husband was in a golf tournament in Marceline. Please is easy to find and very clean. Within walking distance to restaurants and other businesses.

We love being right where the action is on Mainstreet USA! Clean and comfortable room that is close to everything. Easy to communicate with owners. We enjoy the trains whistling and chugging down the tracks!

Great stay

Room was very nice and bed was so comfortable.. Location is perfect, just steps away from dining, shopping and entertainment. There were coupons in the room which I utilized, this is a great plus. I will definitely stay again.

I rarely leave reviews but felt it necessary to include details not disclosed that may affect a traveler's decision when booking. The room was clean & furnishings were sufficient & booking was adequate for my stay's purpose. However, not for the price point. For reference, I am planning a weekend trip to Dubuque, IA in March & have booked the Holiday Inn. It's very centrally located & with the amenities they offer, including pool, hot tub, restaurant/bar, drycleaning/laundry, free parking & breakfast, among others, the Saturday rate was still less than here. Mural Motel has virtually no amenities, aside from an in-room coffee maker, refrigerator & iron/board. There are not even provided toiletries. How in the world are they going to convince travelers to stay there in Marceline, MO mid-January when there is literally nothing to do or see & not even include a bar of soap for that price? Furthermore, the coupons-with the exception of one-were useless because none of the issuing businesses were open during my stay. Also, there is a train track a block away with a train that runs down it all through the night approximately every 20 minutes. So if you're weary from the road & tired & needing a good night's rest, this ain't the place for you. On a positive, check-in was absolutely hassle-free. My opinion/review should in no way be reflective personally upon the property managers. I did not meet them during my stay, but through correspondence, they were ever only courteous & helpful

Overall fine, couple minor things... Would like to have had a grab bar in the shower... Also some decaf coffee would have been nice! Bed comfortable, Thanks!

Great road trip stop.

Super cute remodel of commercial space. Owner accomodated our change of plans with ease. Great communications. We were just passing through, but would be a great destination for Disney fans or railroad fans as it is close to the museum.
My mom thought the bed was so comfy that she wants this mattress!

Our well-appointed room was in a great location for visiting all the Disney-related locations around town and even came with a coupon for one free admission to the museum! Highly recommended!

Perfect Location

We stayed in Room 100 at the Marceline Mural Motel. It was ideal for us because it was centrally located just off Main Street USA. Check in process was easy and Toni provided excellent details on how to access the room. The room was squeaky clean and perfect for a two-person stay. There is a coffee maker (with coffee & disposable cups provided), mini fridge and microwave. There is a small table with two chairs for snacks or light meals. There are very useful coupons for items at local businesses too. The walk-in shower is huge and there is great water pressure from shower head. The bed was super comfy and we both slept well. I heard there is a new laundra-mat coming soon so that would be handy for longer stays. We liked our stay so well that we have actually booked it again for a future stay. I would highly recommend a stay here.

A Great, Central Spot to Stay in Marceline

This is a solid, central place to be. The Marceline Mural Motel is right off of Main Street USA within walking distance of food, parks, and the Walt Disney Boyhood Home Museum. It's clean, includes some genuinely useful coupons, and the shower is phenomenal. All-in-all, I highly recommend it.

We decided to head to Marceline to enjoy a bit of Disney magic and Marceline did not let us down! I first looked on Expedia which said it was booked up so I called the motel directly. Spoke to the owner who said no, they had rooms available. Yay!! We easily booked with them online (VRBO) and received an email the day before with instructions about check in. Check in/check out was easy and the room was spotless. Looked like it has been recently updated, loved the barn style doors! Towels smelled amazing, could tell they were freshly washed and of great quality. The bed is an absolute dream, so comfortable and the comforter was super soft. Loved the bed/bedding! A+++ place and the owners were super sweet. We even got coupons to the local places!

Changed Plans

After arriving in Marceline the morning of our stay, we received word our daughter was to undergo emergency surgery and we hand to cancel our stay to travel to be with her so I can't speak to the room itself. We felt horrible cancelling the morning of our stay, especially after they were so gracious to help us with a schedule mix-up earlier. They were equally gracious this time as well and we appreciate their understanding of our situation. Will definitely try to stay there again if possible.
