Wonderful Staycation

Had a great time with family from out of state. Everything we needed was there and we never had to venture past the corner store 10min away. The pool and zip-line were family favorites. Home is large and easily accommodated our group.

Great Property

The property was very spacious with lots of fun things to do. The zip line was a hit. The pool layout was perfect. There was also an outside bathroom which was nice and convenient. We had 15 adults total, and never felt like we were on top of one another. The ample room for parking was a plus as well. Although there are pictures in the posting, we did not realize how steep the stairs were to get to the lake. For someone like myself who is scared of heights, it took me longer than normal to make it to the dock. This property is great for all ages. Lastly, the property manager communicated promptly and took care of any issues in a timely manner.

Awesome Thanksgiving break with friends!

We just returned from our Thanksgiving break at this property. We were a total of 16 people, being 8 adults, 7 teens and 1 child. This property has something for everyone. It was very well decorated, very comfortable and very clean. The kids had a blast in the huge grass area, which includes a zip line. The cold weather didn’t let us enjoy the beautiful pool or a dip in the lake, but we enjoyed the beautiful views, the heated spa and the fire pit at night. The owner, Austin, was great to deal with. Very friendly, proactive and responsive, when we needed any help. He made sure the house had everything we needed for out stay! The only ‘but’ is the closest grocery store is about 30 mins away, so come prepared for your stay and enjoy this great house… We are considering another stay when the weather is warmer, so we can enjoy the lake and the pool.

From when you drive through the gate and under the trees in the front yard to when you open the front door to the view of the back yard it is picture perfect. Perfect for entertainment, perfect for relaxing, perfect for cookouts, perfect for seeing wildlife and perfect for having space to find a nook to have quiet time away from anyone to read inside or to find a nook outside and rest and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature....

Spacious Private Property with loads to do!

We are a 3 generation family who vacations all together each summer. This property had more than enough space for all of us, with lots of FuN available. We spent most of our time down (and I do mean down, as Lake Travis was historically low this year!) at the floating two story dock. The kids and gkids all enjoyed jumping from the upper deck and utilizing the two story swing as well. We fished, paddle boarded, canoed, and floated in the lake all day long. And when we weren’t in the lake, we enjoyed the pool and spa, especially in the evenings. An added fun feature was the zipline, enjoyed by the youngest to the oldest and everyone in between. I wish I could attach pictures from our stay, as they really tell the wonderful story of our week at this Spicewood property. And, the property manager was exceptionally attentive to all our needs….thank you Austin! I highly recommend!!

River vacation

Beautiful property...could use an icemaker in refrigerator. Had issue with algae and green water in the pool. Austin was very understanding. We were compensated for the lack of the pool times 2 days.

Air conditioning failed

The property would have been lovely except for the downstairs air conditioning was out when we arrived. The main family room, kitchen and bunk room for the kids were unbearably hot and it was 99 outside. When we reported this upon arrival we were not believed and told that this happens when people arrive. The unit outside was not rotating. It took 24 hours for the owner to believe us and act and by then it was 3 days ( the night before we left) before it was fixed because of service scheduling. A plugged condensation line which proper maintenance would avoid. We could not cook because of the heat and had to eat out. The children slept on their parents rooms floor brother upstairs air was working. The owner refused to compensate except for rental return of the lake equipment.

The property is beautiful and Austin was quick to respond to any questions and/or request that we had. There were 15 of us in town for a wedding and we had plenty of room for everyone. I will definitely book again if traveling back to the area.

Paradise on the Perdenales

The property was beautiful and our stay was a wonderful way to end our year. It is perfect for an extended large family. The open concept in the kitchen, dining and family room was great to visit with one another, dine and play games while being together. There were plenty of outdoor activities to keep our young ones entertained. All in all we had a great time. I’m sure we will be back.

The most perfect property on Lake Travis! Idyllic Lake House. You won't be disappointed

If there was a five star award for the perfect VRBO on Lake Travis near Austin, Texas, this would certainly take the top prize. The owners of this property have left nothing to chance and have provided for all of the amenities you'd ever want in a lake house stay. They've stocked the kitchen perfectly and every item you'd ever want is available to for your use. The home is immaculate and cleaned to perfection. You may wonder on some VRBOs why there is even a cleaning fee but trust me - this one is worth it. The owners have a laundry service so every items is amazingly cleaned before your stay -- towels, sheets and all. The home was beautifully cleaned before our arrival. They provided ample amounts of soap and shampoo. The rooms with balconies are very nice. The pool is awesome with a slide. The bunkhouse is private and spectacular. The grounds are incredible with lots of space for parking. The oaks are gorgeous. There's even games to play like horseshoe and a zip line too! Down at the boat house, there is another slide, an upstairs with a swing that you can use to dive into the lake and an extra boat slip if you have a rental. Seriously, there is nothing left to chance here. On top of it all, the owners are great communicators and quick to respond with any question or concern. We really can't say enough great things about this property. We also felt super safe. We had 15 of us there and everyone felt the place was perfect. The pictures don't do it justice. You have to see it for yourself. You will not be disappointed. Thanks Austin for a fabulous stay. We very much appreciate it.

Great Property

Overall, great experience on this property that has it all for a nice weekend getaway. Beds were very comfortable for everyone and housing/property had more than enough space for our party of 14 adults ages 30-70. We had a slight scheduling issue that required an earlier check in and the property manager accommodated us on that which was awesome. The views, sunrise, sunset and immediate property are very picturesque. They are very strict about the 90 min/day of heated hot tub time and we ended up paying an extra fee to have it heated longer. It was pretty frustrating to get nickel & dimed like that when we paid a hefty amount for a 3 night stay but it is noted in the listing. We also had to text the property manager when we wanted hot tub heated & jets turned on as well as the booster pump for the slide. It was a little off-putting to not have direct access to those things but not the end of the world as the property manager was very attentive and easy to work with. Overall, it was an awesome experience and we would definitely book again!

Total Package

Absolutley the best property we have ever rented. From beginning to end Austin was very helpful and just a message away. The property was very well maintained and clean, with all the amenities you could ask for, it was virtually a playground for children and adults alike. With a large footprint (1 acre) and the privacy of a home, you feel isolated but never cramped and it provides for some of the best views possible from sunrise to sunset. We couldn't be more happy with our stay and host and would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a perfect getaway.
