Great place to stay on the North Fork. My family has come here over & over. The cottage is clean, close to the the beach, & Mark & Mona are the best possible hosts.
We cannot recommend it enough!
The apartment was quaint and cozy. The beds were comfortable and there was enough space for our family of three. Lovely outside property. Convenient location for our visit to the North Fork.
Cozy, clean and comfortable. 3 family members and our dog were in town for a weekend. Mona and Mark were friendly and responsive. The grounds are beautiful and the cottage is spotlessly clean. The location is terrific. Walking distance to town and restaurant and Custer observatory.
My husband and 4 year old stayed for the week at Mark and Mona's beach cottage. We had a wonderful experience--the house spacious for us three, the outside space great for grilling and eating on the deck. We were a short walk to a playground and track---for which my family took full advantage of everyday! A bonus of our stay was getting a town beach pass --this was so handy and helped make our vacation easy. Mark and Mona were excellent communicators and warmly welcomed us. I'd definitely recommend a family stay at WBH!
We needed a place to stay for a wedding in Southold and are delighted that we found White Blossom House. The cottage unit is just what we needed. It is clean and bright and conveniently located. We enjoyed relaxing on the patio and the beautiful grounds. The patio area was private and worked well for us and our two small dogs (prior permission for dogs required, of course). Best of all, the owners, Mark and Mona, are extremely helpful and friendly folks.
The cottages at the White Blossom House are absolutely lovely. Everything about the cottage, the grounds and location were perfect. Very charming in every respect and really nice decor. Will definitely return and recommend to friends. The hosts were so wonderful and helpful. Bikes, beach passes and beach chairs were readily available super easy to access and use. Made everything that much easier and enjoyable. We had a couple of friends who live in the area we were visiting and they stopped by and weâre equally impressed with how lovely the cottages are. Perfect visit - canât say enough good things about this lovely place.
This property is beautifully located in a quiet part of Southold, near beaches and various amenities. The property is historic (built in like 1830 or 1840). However, the apartment was very poorly equipped and there are too many disappointing items to list here. The owners also upcharged us for not cleaning the unit adequately when we vacated. They specifically mentioned not cleaning dishes well enough though they didn't supply sponges or a brush or anything! When I expressed this concern with the owner (Mark), he got very upset and hung up on me.
Although quaint at first glance, our stay was marred by 2 major issues. First, the water pressure is extremely low which was especially felt in the shower. The trickle of water and lack of flexible showerhead was a nightmare for showering our kids (aged 3 and 5) after days at the beach. Secondly, there was no garbage collection and no clear instructions on what to do with it which soon resulted in nasty overflow situation. We were there for 7 days and nobody checked in to make sure we were OK or had everything we need. Dumbfounded to receive a complain from the owner and by his threat to withhold the deposit! I think he expected us to do the laundry and make the beds!!! This is the worst experience we ever had on a rental by far and I would not recommend to my worst enemy. Stay clear.
The property was really nice and the hosts provided everything we needed. It was centrally located to all activities we wanted to do. Overall a perfect place to stay!
The White Blossom House property is beautiful and Mark was a great and very helpful host, great communication. The cottage we stayed in was a little funky but perfect for our needs! It's 2 bedrooms and has a little kitchen, bath and living room with Dish TV which was a bonus! The location was great, so close to the wineries and Greenport was a favorite for restaurants/shopping. It rained the whole weekend so unfotunately didn't get to experience the beautiful beaches in the area, still had a great visit. Thanks Mark!
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Markâs property. Mark and his wife Mona were the perfect hosts and the unit we stayed in was clean, spacious and extremely charming. Also great location, close to shops, restaurants, vineyards and beaches. We would definitely go back again!
Our stay was a very lovely experience. Our hosts welcomed us the day we arrived and were very gracious. The grounds were a little piece of Heaven and were beautifully kept.
My husband and I stayed in one of the cottages for two weeks in the spring, and could not have been happier. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, which suited our needs perfectly. There is a barbecue available, and also we were able to use the laundry facilities. We were also able to bring our precious little beagle, Lexi, which was very important to me.
The house is located in Southold, a rather quaint and historic town, with so much character. I enjoyed going into town to visit some of the antique stores, go to the North Fork Roasting Co, my new favorite coffee shop in the world, and of course, visit the North Fork Table and Inn. There are also many little farm stands and wineries nearby, so the barbecue was definitely a popular feature of the home, and we used it quite a bit.
Mark was very accommodating, as we had to travel late in the day on a Friday. He and Mona made sure the apartment was prepared for us. I think they had to travel quite a ways to make these arrangements, that was very kind of them, we are very grateful. I highly recommend their cottage, and I hope to be able to stay there during our next visit.

Cozy, private, with a great patio area for grilling and hanging out. Centrally located so that you are not too far from any attractions/wineries/beach etc.
Highly recommended.
We very much enjoyed our stay at White Blossom House. Throughout the process, Mark and Mona were just great. They were so accommdating. Mona greeted us upon arrival, was very welcoming, and showed us around the place. She gave us a few tips for our extra time in the area (we were attending a wedding, so there was not a lot of spare time), which was very nice. Mark also made a point of saying hello to us, and to tell us not to hesitate to ask for any thing we needed. The cottage was perfect for all of our needs, and would be so for any one visiting this area. So close to town, the beaches, farm stands, and wineries, just to name a few. Thank you, Mark and Mona !
We stayed a week (4 people) at M@Ms place and had a great time. Sat out on the patio and cooked on the grill a couple of nights; sat out there most every night. It was clean and well organized. Best of all M@M were super nice. We got our deposit back before we returned home from the Hudson Valley.
Special shout out to M@M - clams.
Great, private cottage. Very roomy inside, and a lovely outdoor seating area. The owners were very responsive and respectful with regard to providing privacy. I would highly recommend this property to anyone interested in visiting the North Fork. Very centrally located to all the great vineyards and restaurants.
We were in town for a wedding and needed to accommodate 8 adults. Mark was very helpful in letting us know that he had this cottage and an apartment unit available that would be able to fit 8 guests. This was perfect as we all wanted to stay closeby and keep costs to a minimum. He and Mona were also very responsive prior to our arrival. I had a lot of questions and even a request for a late check-out and they were very reasonable and quick to respond. We read all the reviews saying that the cottage was very clean. However, when we checked-in after dinner, there were wet towels lying around and linens unfolded on top of the beds. We were somewhat surprised. We emailed Mark and Mona and they responded almost immediately with a call. Apparently, the cleaners had cleaned the wrong unit. They were very apologetic and they made arrangements to clean the cottage early the next day. They also made sure we got clean linens that evening so we could sleep. They were very accommodating and reassured us that this had never happened in the past. The cleaners arrived before 9am the next day and did a thorough cleaning. We can see why all the reviews spoke so highly of the WBH cottage. It was a quick 2 night stay but everything worked out well for us and it suited our needs just fine. It was a great value considering some of the prices the other wedding guests were paying for hotels and condos. I also really appreciated dealing with Mark and Mona, who were great hosts and so committed to providing a high level of quality. I do feel that the apartment unit was a bit more modern than the cottage unit, but again, for a 2-night stay, it was a great value and very cozy. If we're in the area again, we would definitely stay here (if the apartment isn't available).
We enjoyed our week in the cottage. Mark and Mona were very accommodating and responsive to all questions. Ideally located near wineries, state and county parks, and the Nature Conservancy preserve on Shelter Island. Our dogs enjoyed it too!
Had a great time at this cottage. Mark and Mona were wonderful to deal with. The cottage is quaint, clean and easy to get to. So many wineries nearby and the beach is just a couple of miles from the cottage. I would not hesitate to recommend this rental. Thank you Mark and Mona - I look forward to renting your property again.
