VILLA POMME D'AMOUR MARIGOT BAY Lower level 2 bedroom apartment

Villa Pomme d'Amour is situated in the Southern ridge of Marigot Bay. The property is composed of 2 villas, nestled high on the ridge, surrounded by nature and the views of the pool and our tropical gardens, a mountainside brimming with birds. Overlooking the Caribbean ocean.

The apartment in this ad is the lower level of the guest house (left side on photos) and is composed of two bedrooms with Queen size beds, a bathroom with shower, a kitchen and living room. The kitchen and living room open up with wide louver doors onto a private private veranda for your meals and leisure time.

The property has private parking and the villas are down a long staircase, into the valley. It offers use of WiFi and access to a laundry service.
Arrival can either be by taxi (that we can book for you) or by rental car. A rental car is recommended, as there are so many places to discover and great beaches to explore.

On arrival, you will receive a Caribbean Blue Gift Box of essentials.

Grocery stores are near by and you request your taxi to stop on your way to Villa Pomme d'Amour. Since some arrivals are late in the day, for your first morning here, I provide some breakfast items.

As owner, I live on the property and are always available to help you with your planning and discovery of St Lucia.

A 10 minute walk or very short car ride, brings you down in the bay for another beach and water sports, such as kayaking, paddle-boarding, sailing, water taxis and more, also several restaurants and little bars.

St-Lucia is an island of great beauty with its endless rainforest for hiking and great beaches, lovely waterfalls, zip-lines, horseback-riding in the surf, snorkelling and scuba diving, sailing, beautiful waterfalls with basins to swim in, climbing of Gros Piton in the Soufriere (volcano region) , visits to plantations and much more...

Be aware that security cameras are installed for everyone safety: 3 camera in the parking lot area, 1 at the entrance to the rental unit, 1 overlooking pool area, and 3 cameras at host's personal home located on the property.

Pomme D'Amour is nestled in the hills of Marigot, and is a 10 minute (if that) walk to a beautiful bay. The apartment was clean and well equipped.Arnold was the perfect host, and nothing was too much trouble. I would happily stay here again.

Comfortable & Quiet spot in Marigot Bay

Lovely apartment with 2 comfortable bedrooms & dining table on balcony. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely pool, clean & comfortable beds surrounding it. 5 minutes walk down a woodland path to a lovely bay with great snorkelling. Arnold, the owner lives next door & is friendly and helpful. Marigot Bay is lovely with several restaurants and a good central point for exploring the island.

Great stay at villa Pomme D'Amour

We had a fantastic experience at St. Lucia while staying at Pomme D'Amour. The host was excellent and provided useful local insight and made sure we had everything we needed. The villa was also a delight. The location was ideal, within walking distance to Marigot bay, but still very secluded. We clocked the walk to the cove at just under three minutes. The snorkeling there was excellent right from shore, with many species of fish and coral. The villa itself was lovely as well, with a beautiful view of the ocean and dramatic hillsides. We loved our stay!

We Love Marigot bay

It is a great property. Josee and Pierre live on site. They are a charming aspect of your time there. Josee will tell you all the best restaurants and activities. (They have lived there for over 13 years. And she knows everyone.). We have stayed with them twice now.

Now I know what it's like to live in paradise. Nestled among the tree tops overlooking a tropical garden filled with bright beautiful blooming flowers, birds, bees and even a coconut tree. Not to mention a large warm pool and a view of the Caribbean Sea. Marigot Bay is walking distance where you'll find several great restaurants, and docks that serve as the launching point for snorkeling and fishing trips. St. Lucia's seep terrain can be a bit of a challenge but Arnold stands ready to make your stay hustle free. He knows the locals and seemed able make whatever we wished happen with just a call or two. Not just skilled and knowledgeable about the island, Arnold could not have been any kinder and more caring. If you want a relaxing wonderful vacation living close to nature in a tropical garden, stay at the Villa Pomme D'Amour.

Amazing Views and Great Location

The views of the sunset, the pool, the cove, the little island finches that visit during breakfast make this a remarkably peaceful location. Arnold and Christine are the new owners here and were so helpful with my wife, myself, and our 4 year old. Plenty of excellent recommendations and helpful resources. The small cove here is a gorgeous place for an evening picnic or a daytime snorkel. The pool is perfect to lay out at during the day or to have a kiddo splash around in. Really beautiful part of the country, quiet and secluded, and felt very safe. Having the ability to stay in or go out for dinner nearby is amazing. Perfect base for a week-long adventure or a multi-week stay!

Views from this property are spectacular, amzing sunsets and lots of interesting birds! You sit on uour private balcony and overlook a secluded cove that offers great snorkeling when the water is calm, as well as the on site pool. Arnold, the host, was very accomodating and a good communicator leading up to, and during the stay. His gardener, Andre, brought feah local fruits and cocnuts for us to try a few times as well, which was a pleasant surprise. The place is a little dated, but well kept. The kitchen is very small, so keep cooking simple. There is no A/C, so managing a cooling breeze, fans and mosquito nets for sleeping is a must. We really ejoyed our stay here and the privacy of its location. Would highly recommend!

Three sisters annual trip

My two sisters and I ( in our 50s) stayed at Pomme D’Amour for a week and loved absolutely everything (except the mosquitoes, but Arnold, the owner had a welcome gift ready for us that included bug repellent and after bite spray, among other wonderful aroma therapy items). Arnold was very available and quick to provide any requests including allowing us to hire his gardener to be our private tour guide for two days, driving us to the north end on a Friday to visit Castries where we shopped for souvenirs and ate the best food from street vendors, followed by a trip to Pigeon Island beach for a couple hours, and ending that day at a street party in Gros Islet. On Saturday our driver took us south to Soufriere where we toured the Botanical Garden, the drive through volcano and the mud bath. Sunday we booked a private catamaran for a day on the water to see the lovely island from that perspective. We loved being able to return to the villa each evening for a dip in the pool or to watch the sunset from the varanda. The authenticity of the villa, with its open air windows and doors ( no air conditioning) and the amazing view of the cove is what sold us on this particular vrbo and it did not disappoint! We were able to easily walk downhill to Marigot bay where we took a ferry to the beach areas and restaurants, and got a taxi back up the hill at the end of the day. This villa offered all the amenities we desired and we hope to return someday! Thank you Arnold for an amazing VRBO!

I can't say enough good things about the owners Josee and Pierre, their lovely Villa or the island itself. They were both attentive and kind in every way. Pierre picked us up from the airport for a lovely drive along the coast and through the rainforest on the way to Marigot Bay. Josee had mango rum punch and bruschetta waiting for us when we arrived. Our fridge was stocked with breakfast food that lasted us for days. The accommodations were extremely clean, comfortable and everything we needed was available. The pool was warm and the garden lush. The walk through the "jungle" down to the cove was an adventure and we were rewarded with warm waters and good snorkeling. Marigot Bay was the perfect location! Plenty to do right there in the area and close to everything else going North, South and East. Josee sat down and helped us plan our week, made reservations, arranged a car, and a private boat. Food, services and shopping were reasonably priced and everyone we encountered was helpful, polite and smiling. I highly recommend renting a car from Andrew via Josee; the roads are excellent. Be sure to dine for lunch at The Pink Plantation in Castries and Dasheene at The Ladera Resort above the Pitons for spectacular daytime views. For evening, stay closer to home and go see Chef Ian Sherlock at Doolittle’s in Marigot Bay (fun nightlife & delicious food) and Rainforest Hideaway; both accessible via ferry. Most especially don’t miss the private boat tour with Carlos for an amazing day of sun, surf and snorkeling. This was truly a trip to paradise and I plan on going back as often as possible. Josee & Pierre are the best!

Wonderful week!

We had a wonderful family vacation at this property and highly recommend it. Everything was exactly as described in the description and we would love to return one day. We stayed for a week (with two kids ages 12 and 16). Josee could not have been more helpful starting with answering all of my questions via email before we arrived. She greeted us with a lovely rum punch and bruschetta snack upon arrival and the first morning of our trip sat down with us and helped us plan out each of our six days to make sure we saw all the important and beautiful sites and beaches on the island (beaches, volcano hot springs, rain forest zip line). She had arranged for us to have the rental car delivered our first morning too. The two bedroom unit was perfectly spacious for four of us and we loved having meals on the balcony. We enjoyed the pool and the three minute walk to swim in the cove down the hill. If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation spot and also want to have the opportunity to go out for the day and see different parts of beautiful St. Lucia then this is the perfect unit for you. We don’t like going to crowded resorts where we have to go out at 7am to save beach chairs, so this unit worked really well for our family. Josee told us beaches to drive to and all of the beaches we went to had ample chair rentals available for a very reasonable fee and they also all served food to our chairs or had a restaurant on the beach. My son actually turned 12 while we were there and Josee helped us arrange a sailboat charter for his birthday day and the charter company, Bateau Mygo, even arranged for a custom birthday cake to make the day more special. Whatever you need while you were there Josee will help you. She checked in with us every morning to make sure we were all set. It was a fabulous week!

60th B-day girls trip!

Party of 3 chose Villa Pomme based on its 5-star reviews & central location, to nearby Castries and not so near Soufriere & Gros Islet/Rodney Bay. Arnold is the new host, not Pierre and Josee as mentioned in the many glowing reviews. After staying 1 week you could easily replace the prior hosts’ names with Arnold’s name and all accolades would still hold true. He is an amazing host, helped plan all our excursions and made us feel welcomed! Villa was comfortable and the setting peaceful. It is considered “in the country”, is secluded & quiet with beautiful views of the ocean, wildlife, & amazing rainbows. It is clean and well-stocked. The small kitchen is a tight squeeze if you like to cook. Meals can be enjoyed on the outdoor deck--no indoor table. The beds are comfortable, and lack of air conditioning wasn’t a problem (even in 80°F temps). The living room furniture isn’t comfortable, maybe a future upgrade. Took advantage of Arnold’s transport service rather than a rental. Felt it was a reasonably priced & safe option since the area was unfamiliar. Arnold took great care in getting us to/from tours/sites, and his flexibility so appreciated. Upon arrival, he took us to a local grocery store for essentials. We loved the mini store he had available steps away from our villa—it was stocked with water, wine, beer, and liquor
available for purchase--so convenient! The trek to/from our lower-level villa to street side/Arnold’s shuttle required climbing/descending 54 stairs. It is a bit strenuous but a good work out! The path to the secluded cove is about a 4-minute walk down/up a steep, rocky path, so daily visits may not be ideal. In fact, we only visited with an escort once since Arnold mentioned some recent trouble in that area. Marigot Bay is not a touristy area. It’s a plus if you seek quiet and seclusion. As three women, we did not feel comfortable walking at night around the bay/dock/boardwalk unaccompanied. We did go to nearby restaurants but depended on Arnold for safe transport. The Villa-fav, The Mangrove-good, Chateau Mygo-ok, and DOOlittles-least fav (in fact, we'd say don’t go). #1 favorite was Coal Pot, Vigie Marina Castries. Many servers are unpleasant and not at all customer-focused; the total opposite of Arnold. He truly is an amazing host, very accommodating and pleasant. Thank you, Arnold, for taking such good care of us during our stay at Villa Pomme D'Amour!!!

Arnold is a great host who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. He invited us over to watch the gold medal men's hockey match, and had extra snacks for the event. The location is great and well set up for an enjoyable trip. The cove down the trail was our destination a couple days, and we snorkeled and jumped off the cliffs. A short drive over the hill is Marigot Bay, and we had an excellent meal at four different locations.So glad we chose this location. Thanks again Arnold.

I have stayed at many vacation rentals for years and have never given a bad review but this time I can’t let it go. Arnold is a very nice man and don’t like to say negative things but it is what it is. After a long day of travel including that last 1 1/2 drive from the airport in the dark we arrived at the villa. All we wanted to do was relax in the “Exceptional “ 10 star villa. Our hearts sank as we walked in. There is no air conditioning or ventilation, just ceiling and portable fans. The windows all have dark shutters with no screens for fresh air. The furniture is very uncomfortable, TV doesn’t work. The bathroom needs a complete renovation, sink and shower are terrible. The kitchenette needs complete remodel, the silverware drawer will fall out if you pull too far. There is not a view from inside unless you open the dark shutters letting in the bugs. The trail to the cove was not good and Arnold told us that there had been robberies there but the police have stopped it. He also spoke of all the improvements he plans to do. We lay in bed that night totally disappointed and felt deceived by the reviews. We stayed 2 nights and I decided to walk down the road and found an amazing villa overlooking Marigot Bay for less cost than Arnold’s place. They had a vacancy so we moved and lost 800 non refundable that we had paid for the total 5 night stay. A couple positives, the pool was nice and the table on the deck was pleasant.

Tropical beauty and wonderful hosts

We spent 8 days with Josie and Pierre. They were great hosts, warm and friendly. Josie helped us navigate to several beaches and made recommendations/reservations for us at several local restaurants. It was a bit like having your own personal concierge, perfect! The facility is like a rainforest lodge. We ate breakfast with the birds and enjoyed a sunset in the treehouse. It was a very relaxing and memorable stay.

Cozy paradise - can't wait to go back!

What an amazing stay in an amazing place with amazing views and amazing hosts! From the moment we booked to the moment we checked out, Josee and Pierre were attentive, welcoming and gracious, exceeding our every expectation along the way. Everything was set up for us upon arrival and each day we met with Josee to plan our next excursion. The villa is secluded, quiet, in a lush rainforest overlooking a bay where you can snorkel and cliff jump - it's practically a private paradise. The pool is warmed by the sun, clean and quiet - perfect place to relax. The beds were great, the shower hot, the kitchen well apportioned, the sitting areas comfortable and the balcony beautiful - just perfect. We woke up to birdsong and went to sleep to tree frog calls. We definitely hope to be back!

Josee and Pierre were amazing hosts. They helped make our trip exceptional.

This property is pure magic. The views are spectacular and the hosts are exceptional. The location on Marigot Bay is within a short distance down to a secluded cove as well as a short hike down to the Bay Area. There are water taxis, restaurants, shops and more down in Marigot Bay. A perfect location if you are looking for a genuine island experience.

Peaceful get away

Everything as promised. Secluded cove for great swimming and snorkeling. Terrific views of the Carribean Sea from nature’s hideaway. Josee and Pierre were very attentive and gracious hosts. Josee checked in with us each day to help us plan our activities and make arrangements on our behalf. A perfect island retreat.

Lovely place to let go and relax.

My husband and loved our stay at Villa Pomme D'Amour. The view from our veranda was phenomenal as was the garden and the private cove. Our hosts were so helpful in introducing us to the island. We were able to see so much and still found plenty of time to relax. Hoping we can return again soon.

I had met and became friends with the original owners, Pierre and Josee, who created Villa Pomme d'Amour and defined a formula to making this villa a successful and desirable destination for their many guests. Villas Pomme d'Amour sits in a wonderful valley in the central Caribbean coast side of St. Lucia.
