Situé au 1er étage. Séjour / chambre avec lit 180 x 210 et une cuisine avec lave-vaisselle, réfrigérateur, Nespresso, bouilloire, micro-ondes, lampes de lecture. Canapé-lit 160 x 200 pour 2 lits d'appoint. Douche, WC, lavabo avec sèche-cheveux. Les chaises de jardin, WIFI, TV. Dehors, il ya un banc de jardin, il ya des chaises de jardin et deux aires de jeux pour enfants. Votre bateau peut être amarré éventuellement la porte. Monnickendam a un beau centre avec restaurants et boutiques. Il est un merveilleux boulangerie pour le pain et gâteau. Chaque année, il ya beaucoup d'événements, la race Jan Haring, chantent festival, Waterland Kerkeland. Chaque samedi il ya un marché dans le centre.

Quaint Neighborhood

Fantastic property and a very very quaint neighborhood. Restaurants are a short walk and the bus to Amsterdam is only 20 minutes. One of the cleanest properties I've ever visited.

Wonderful and peaceful

A beautiful property just a quick business outside of Amsterdam. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The town is adorable and the restaurants had delicious food. We would love to come again to spend more time.

Apartment Kajuit

Very comfortable accomodation on a quiet channel, with a wonderful view of the old harbour. The apartment is well furnished, clean and optimally located for visiting, with a short trip, some main Holland towns. In this way, the apartment perfectly joins the quiet life of country and sea side with the exciting Amsterdam's atmosphere! The staff has a friendly and professional attitude. Highly recommended! Immaculately clean in beautiful village

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was beautiful. The apartment was immaculately clean and like new. The main bed was comfy and the sofa bed in the lounge was a large single bed with a pull out second single trundle bed which fit our teenagers well. The communication with the manager was great and they were super responsive and helpful. There’s a cooktop and dishwasher (but no oven). Fly screens on all windows The village itself is beautiful and there’s a decent size supermarket a 10 min walk away. We initially caught the train to Amsterdam, then the metro to Amsterdam Nord, then a bus to Monnickendam. Be aware that the buses to Monnickendam are run by a different company (EBS) than are covered by the usual Amsterdam travel card which is for travel on GVB buses/metro/trams. We’d presumed we’d be needing the metro whilst we were there and paid for a 2 day card, but it was a waste because we only took one metro initially then discovered there was an EBS bus directly to/ from Monnickendam to Amsterdam Central. We also went to Volendam and rented bikes and followed a proposed bike route as advised by “rent & event” where we saw beautiful farmland, a cheese making demo and cows being milked, cheese tasting, a clog shop and a windmill. We then came back to the Volendam village and had great takeaway fish and chips at “De Lunch” and amazing waffles and strop waffle at “woltje’s backerij” Only negatives: no spare blankets - was cold. Was loud music on Saturday night.

Especially bad if you have a baby, toddler, or wheelchair

1) Stairs: It says ground floor & mentions scaffolding (which means construction stand). It does not mention steep metal stairs out front or steep & long stairs (with one side totally open) as soon as you open the door to the apt. You must climb them to get to the apt. Imagine having a one year old & a flimsy gate you have to put up & take down every time you come & go; must also keep baby away. Out front, I had to carry the baby & the stroller up and down those steps every time we came & went. When I was looking at places, I was specifically focused on ones on ground floor or with an elevator. 2) Key: Does not work properly. Takes 10-20 tries every time to get the key in and door opened. 3) Temperature: Sun faces the apt and heats it up. Windows open in a weird way and you need to close the shades to keep sun out to try to cool it but this also blocks the air and the gorgeous view. 4) Washer/Dryer: This is listed as an amenity. A normal person would assume it is in the unit or else close by within the building. Something key for a single mom with baby. It is actually a separate laundry room about a block away-not ideal for my situation. Broken one of the times. 5) High chair-unusable, unsafe…no straps and table way to high to use with it. 6) Baby crib came wo sheets 7) lights come on at night w/little movement. 8) Owner had a true ground unit avail after 2 nights but refused to move me. Owner was u willing to remedy even the high chair. These people are jerks.

Vue très sympa !

L’appartement est très propre et en excellent état. La vue est chouette. L’appartement est très bien situé pour visiter la région, on se gare facilement. Il ne manque rien à part peut-être un grille pain. Nous avons séjourné avec un enfant de 8 ans qui a dormi sur la banquette. Ça a été impeccable. Merci pour cette belle expérience.

Gute Wohnung, zu empfehlen

Wohnung sehr sauber, entspricht komplett dem Inserat, alle Einrichtungs- und Küchengegenstände sind recht hochwertig und funktionieren, Wohnung schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Sehr angenehm ist, daß auch bei Hochbetrieb immer eine Parkmöglichkeit besteht. Nettes maritimes Ambiente, sehr ruhig abends und nachts, kein Maschinenlärm oder laute Leute. Kommunikation mit Vermieteragentur sehr nett und freundlich, alles sehr problemlos und leichtgängig. Angenehmer menschlicher Kontakt, auch prompte e-mail-response. In der Summe unbedingt zu empfehlende Wohnung in origineller Umgebung.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Monnikendam ist ruhig und überschaubar. Genau richtig, um nach einem Tag im großen und vollem Amsterdam zu genießen. Der Blick direkt auf den Hafen war sehr schön, die Wohnung schön eingerichtet und gut gepflegt. Vielen Dank!

Gemütliche Ferienwohnung

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles war genau so, wie beschrieben. Die Wohnung bietet ausreichend Platz für vier Personen und ist sehr gemütlich. Man hat einen tollen Blick auf den Hafen. Monnickendam selber ist sehr schön. Außerdem ist es ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um Amsterdam zu erreichen (man fährt mit dem Bus circa 20 Minuten). Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Schöne Wohnung in noch schönerem Städtchen

Super hübsches und sauberes Objekt, um von dort ein paar Tage Holland zu entdecken - Nordseeküste 50km entfernt, Amsterdam 30Min mit dem Bus, Islemeer direkt vor der Tür. Und vor allem ein zauberhaftes Städtchen mit toller Gastronomie und Atmosphäre. Am schönsten ist der Blick beim Frühstück! Daumen hoch!

Gemütliches Apartment

Schönes, gemütliches, sauberes, ruhiges Apartment mit wunderschönen Blick auf den Hafen. Für uns drei Personen war es ideal, bei vier Personen müsste sich ein Paar ein Klappsofa teilen. Alle nötigen Ausstattungsgegenstände waren vorhanden, eine "normale" Kaffeemaschine wäre schön gewesen (es war nur ein Nescafe-Automat vorhanden). Über die Rezeption bekommt man auch Zugang zur Waschmaschine etc. Die Lage ist etwas abseits neben einem Werftgelände, das aber nicht stört (Wir haben keine lauten Maschinen oder ähnliches gehört). Monnickendam ist ein sehr schöner kleiner Ort mit Hafen und Restaurants. Man kommt von hier aus gut mit Auto, Bus oder Fahrrad (es sei denn es ist zu windig) nach Amsterdam.

Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt in der schönen kleinen Wohnung. Supermarkt und Bushaltestelle gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Schöner kleiner Ort - direkt am Wasser - sehr zu empfehlen.

So very pleased!

The location and comfort of this apartment made our time in Monnickendam so much more special. We could not be more pleased with the friendly service of our host, Nienke! When we travel, we prefer to stay on the outskirts of a city to avoid the noise and crowds of the downtown ambience. My husband loves the water and boating. We had a great view of both. We were a 16 minute bus ride from Amsterdam Noorde and easily were able to tour museums and eat out in Amsterdam. Back in Monnickendam, we were close to bus stops taking us to Volendam where we rented bikes for the day, and visited more than one cheese factory, a giant windmill, ate delicious ice cream and enjoyed all the towns along the Gouwzee coast. It was the perfect trip for this family of 4! Very affordable and gave us memories we'll treasure for many years to come.
