Good location with easy road access to everywhere. The house was very well set up with all you would need and was comfortable with plenty of space. Host kept us well informed. Be prepared to climb stairs from the car to the door. Not too bad - 11. We would stay again.
Unfortunately, we were not aware that there were soooo many stairs in this rental! First coming in, there were 13 concrete stairs, inside the only shower was upstairs one flight, the laundry was downstairs (with no railing) in the garage/basement. The dining room chairs were rickety and old - the master bedroom was overstuffed with furniture (we had to move some of it out), we had to ask for a fan (as it was so hot later in our visit). All the kitchen/bathroom linens are old as well as the faded oilcloth tablecloths. The pantry has many outdated packages of old grains that are half used. The refrigerator had a bin that was very dirty and the refrigerator is extremely noisy. The dishwasher is antiquated, but somewhat works. This is not a place for anyone with mobility issues and that should be made clear in the listing. When the refrigerator went out, the owner was responsive and told us to unplug it and re-plug. In the listing it says there is a patisserie nearby, but it was closed due to vacation. There are no restaurants in Boult sur Suippe. If you come on a Sunday, good luck on finding food. The Master bedroom is on the road out of town and as soon as the drivers get past the speed bumps before the rental, they push the accelerator and you hear all the noise. The owner did leave a bottle of wine, a baguette and 2 croissants, which was nice...but it went downhill from there. If you are looking for things to do, you need to drive to Reims.
Typically French house with eclectic dĂšcor. Nice village location with excellent boulangerie. Great location for Reims and Epernay champagne houses and WW1 history. Excellent contact with owner. Had great stay.
