Pros and cons
Pros: The skiing at Vail is pretty amazing and that's the main reason to visit. The property was just a few minutes from a bus stop (but the bus only runs every thirty minutes and drops you off a fair distance from the lifts). There was plenty of room for our group of five adults and three kids. The living room was a comfortable space for our group to gather. There was enough seating for 8 around the dining room table. One of the more affordable options in Vail.
Cons: The "town" of Vail has an interstate running through the middle of it and definitely doesn't have the charm of places like Breckenridge or Telluride. The property itself had minor annoyances (plastic toilet seats that moved around, lack of tissue boxes). I was never really sure if the "property manager" was an actual person or an automated system. On our first day, we noticed that one of the bedroom doors was really squeaky (our toddler is a light sleeper), so I text to see if we could get some WD-40. Someone responded saying they'd drop some off the next day, but we never received any. Also, the bedroom walls are quite thin. This is mentioned in the listing, but the pool is only open in summer.
