Friendly guests. Glad you enjoyed the pool. Also my favorite part! For normal email use, the internet works fine but our provider places a data cap that gets used up very quickly if people are streaming videos, utube, etc. This is something that guests need to be aware of. Best to download movies, etc. in advance of your vacation. We also have a dvd library in the villa for your use.

Perhaps you saw an elevator on another property while you were searching for a property. My apologies that you did not find the DVD's. They were in the bottom shelf of the cabinet in the living room. Thank you Suzanne for your beautiful review. We are so happy that you fully enjoyed your time at our unique villa and all the local hotspots for food and relaxation. Regarding food shopping, obviously everyone has different dietary needs. We manage pretty well with the small local convenience store and all of the local road side produce markets. I should have mentioned that you could also stop and shop on your way down from Nadi at bigger supermarkets. Sigatoka has a big supermarket as well as a really good farmers market. We often shopped there before we come down to Pacific harbor so that’s helpful advice for future guests.Happy to also hear that Kiti took such good care of you. Our home, built in the late 70’s,has unique architecture compared to any other villa in Pacific Harbour. So many guests have praised it. We are very disappointed & surprised by your review because it is not typical of the guests who have stayed before.We do understand that this is your first time in Fiji & your expectations might have been better met by spending time in a resort hotel.To get anything like the standard of our villa would be very expensive & without the ability to host a family/group in privacy & with full kitchen amenities. You must have noticed how people live very simply in Fiji,it doesn’t have all the amenities as in Europe/America.Nevertheless we do our best to provide all the comforts/appliances that we can. Kitchen comment is a bit unfair.We have replaced the stove, range, fridge, microwave, washer & dryer very recently & the doors are beautifully stained.Environment here is definitely harder on homes than what you are used to. Thus we have a very experienced Fijian house keeper who cares for the villa 3x/wk.We also have a professional yard crew & pool maintenance person who attends to the pool 3x/wk & we do a thorough maintenance upgrade 1x/yr to paint, upgrade, freshen & repair everything. We do our best to keep our villa in very good shape & we are proud of this. However, we thank you for your review & assure you that we are looking at everything you pointed out & addressing it.We are now in the process of replacing some of the mosquito screens.We have to do this 1x/yr.The wooden deck in front of the pool was freshly painted just a 1yr ago, as well as the concrete trim around the pool. We are re-painting these & we find we have to do this yearly. Wooden deck isn't rotten.It was entirely replaced just 3 yrs ago. Re:beds,we have 2 queens & a double- pretty standard. It is almost impossible to find a king-size bed in Fiji. Re:a/c,it is standard to cover the bedrooms & provide ceiling or floor fans in the living & dining spaces. We ourselves prefer natural ventilation.The architect aligned the house in a very unusual way to maximize cross-ventilation from the prevailing south easterly tropical breezes.We like to take advantage of that & avoid A/C if possible.Our agent who inspects every wk should have replaced that shower curtain before your arrival.Various colored towels & linens are part of the charm of being in a house, not a resort. But.again we do respect the fact we did not meet your expectations & are sorry we disappointed you.

It's not easy to choose a vacation rental but reviews like this really help people getting a feeling for what to expect and we're glad your stay at our villa fulfilled your expectations. In response to your review, our apologies for the difficulty encountered with the internet during your stay. Many guests have stayed there without problems. Our agent in Fiji tells us that the ISP was responsible for your internet problems in this case, and we did have our IT manager come to check it out on the same day in any case. In addition, we have since upgraded our wireless hub including a UPS to increase reliability on our end. The guests that have come in after you have had no internet interruptions, we are happy to report. The Villa is definitely in use every month so it was an oversight on our part not to re-stock the salt. Sorry for that inconvenience. When we are there, we typically keep it in the freezer as it tends to absorb water otherwise in the tropical climate. Hopefully you also noticed how well stocked our kitchen is with appliances, dishware, cook-ware, etc. We have tried to take into account everything that our guests would need. We are glad that you did get to enjoy the activities that Pacific Harbourt has to offer. As you say, it is really a great little town and beach is magnificent, as I am sure you would agree.
