Guests have access to all areas of the house, which include the bedrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, outdoor patio and garage, and laundry room with a washer and drier. There are air conditioning units in every room of the house.
We take pride in using non-toxic cleaning supplies, providing a healthier and more natural alternative, while being just as effective to synthetic-based conventional cleaners.
As La Paz doesn’t have a city recycling program, we go the extra mile and arrange for recycling ourselves. We offer recycling bins for our guests, which we then transport to proper recycling facilities outside of town.
We are making efforts towards water conservation in La Paz. We are adopting water-efficient technologies, growing mostly native vegetation in our decorative gardens, promoting responsible water usage, and building urban rainwater capture basins.
Finally, we provide canvas grocery bags you can use in your trips to the local stores, farmer’s and fish markets.
Casa Oasis offers a lot of privacy. It is located in the interior of the block, connected to the street by a spacious 2-3 car garage. It is in a very quiet and easygoing neighborhood.
It’s worth mentioning that the next-door neighbors own a pair of roosters, in the vein of a widespread La Paz culture of having chickens in the backyard. You can often hear their crowing at first light, which may wake a light sleeper.
The neighborhood overall is very quiet. The seaside promenade is about a minute’s walk from the house.
Only a block away is our favorite breakfast place, María California. Within the same radius are two great restaurants: La Casita, an excellent place with tasty salads and entrees and a nice patio bar, and Dulce Romero, a hip, organic sandwich shop and bakery. There is also a great butcher shop nearby where you can buy excellent meats in case you want to have a cookout.
