We had a great stay at Grandview Manor. Large house with plenty of room to spread out. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook. Lots of places to view the lake- screened in porch or gazebo or picnic tables. Already planned to stay again this summer!
Large comfortable home that provides plenty of space for family dinners, games and puzzle building. Floor plan of home also provides areas for quiet relaxation too. Love the vintage charm and the lake access right from the back yard. Breakwater Beach, Whip & Dip, GOTL strip and Wineries are conveniently only a few miles away.
This was a family vacation, ranging in ages 82-8. We had a wonderful time, loved the Lakeshore, the fabulous Sunsets & we loved the character of the house & were able to comfortably fit 11 of us in the house! Wonderful memories were made during our stay in July/August, 2019.
This was our second year at Grandview and we have already booked our trip for next summer. My family loves the fully equipped kitchen, we cooked a 5 course French dinner and had all the amenities needed. Love the historical aspects of the home, cedar closets, beautiful tile work in the bathrooms and large porch overlooking the lake. Highly recommend!
Grandview is a view that has to be experienced from the charming old manor and yard. Breathtaking sunsets, thunderstorms, stars, blue skies the view is ever changing and you have a front seat. Home has plenty of room for family and friends. Close to all activities but yard and private beach no need to leave. Plant to return
Our family enjoyed Grandview Manor for a week as we attended 2 family reunions. Loved all the rooms with their unique touches. The lake is awe-inspiring & the house highlights it so well. Observing multi-colored sunsets in the gazebo is a memory we will treasure. Closeby Break Water Beach in the state park was a treasure as well. We hope to return! Grandview Manor was enjoyed by 3 generations of Nelsons!

We found the house to be very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The bathrooms had plenty of towels and the beds were comfortable. We gravitated to the gazebo which had a table that seated 6 which worked great for playing games. The fire pit was wonderful and the owners left plenty of wood for us. The grill worked very well. The restaurant down the street, Driftwood Point, is walkable and a very good place to eat. We throughly enjoyed our stay and we donât have any complaints.
We just returned from a 5 day stay at this beautiful location. The home is beautiful. It was clean, and had plenty of room for our party of 10. The sunporch made a wonderful game room our first day there, when the weather was drizzly and overcast. The lawn was a huge draw, enabling us to play yard games. The fire pit is situated for perfect sunset viewing over the water. The home appears to have been updated with decor, while maintaining its original vintage charm. We hope to return!
Excellent setting ( quiet neighborhood, nice backyard with the firepit, gazabo, waterfront, etc,). You would think the owner could afford to update the interior, which is needed badly. considering the fees. Getting charged a cleaning fee ?! Really! The first thing thing we did was clean the kitchen. Lots of spiders and and cobwebs throughout the house. Overall, a good place to stay.
Amazing!! Had everything we needed. Location was perfect. Having the lake in the backyard was a fan favorite, especially for the little kids...and big ones :)
Family came from all over the country.. How delighted we were to see the property was better than the photos. We love eclectic old houses with character and charm. Kitchen was huge and equipped with what we needed. All bedrooms and bathrooms were also larger. Plenty of space inside and out. Loved the gazebo!
All aspects went well from the booking through the entire stay. We also had a really nice week weather-wise. This year there were steps to the beach in the form of a new ladder. It was great. We had just about everything we needed on site except the groceries which were easy to get nearby. We spend quite a bit of time cooking our own meals. I don't know much that would improve the stay. If there are any future plans it would be nice to have a TVs in the bedrooms, & consideration for a new stove. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to share your wonderful property.
Spacious lake house with accesible beach and amazing views.
Great location, close to state park, lodge and GOTL strip. Lake house provided plenty of parking and space for indoor and outdoor activities. Already booked to return next year.
Excellent! We loved the house, so much history. The kitchen is spacious, great for prepping meals. Plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms for all. The grounds are perfect for enjoying life by the lake: swimming, watching sunsets, grilling/ picnic-ing, frisbee throwing and listening to the relaxing sounds of the water.
This was our second visit and we all loved it,especially the grandkids! The view was stunning and house was very comfortable for all 10 of us. Looking forward to our next visit!
