La cabane est située sur les 15 hectares isolés du propriétaire bordant le «parc national des Great Smoky Mountains» et à seulement 8 km du site touristique populaire de Dillsboro, en Caroline du Nord. Western Carolina University est à 20 minutes au sud de Cullowhee et continue au sud est Cashiers, Highlands ainsi que toutes les célèbres cascades. Asheville est à 1 heure à l'est ou à 20 minutes de Waynesville et Maggie Valley. La réserve indienne Cherokee est au nord ainsi que le parc national de Great Smoky Mountain, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge et tous les centres commerciaux. À l'ouest se trouvent Bryson City, le lac Fontana et le Nantahala Outdoor Center pour le rafting.

Il y a un séjour minimum de 3 à 7 nuits selon les dates et la période de l'année. Veuillez noter En été de juin à août, nous n'acceptons que les locations à la semaine du samedi au samedi.

L'emplacement de la cabane est la meilleure partie avec le porche arrière donnant sur Dick’s Creek, qui est un ruisseau de montagne audacieux qui descend en cascade sur la montagne dans une série de cascades et de piscines. C'est parfait pour les enfants de jouer ou de déplacer les rochers autour des piscines et des cascades. De plus, la cabine est remplie de nombreux draps et serviettes, de savons et de détergents, de serviettes en papier et de sacs poubelle ainsi que d'une collection unique d'ustensiles de cuisine. Tous les articles que les autres cabines attendent de vous pour apporter ou passer votre précieux temps de vacances à magasiner. Tout ce que vous devez apporter est de la nourriture et des boissons, puis passez votre temps à vous détendre sur le porche arrière donnant sur le ruisseau, ou à l'intérieur près de la cheminée en pierre empilée à sec sur mesure. La cabine dispose de 3 chambres avec une mezzanine ouverte et peut accueillir / dormir un maximum de 7 personnes. Nous avons maintenant le WIFI via ViaSat.

Les trois chambres ont un roi, une reine et un lit double; il y a un lit de repos supplémentaire dans le grenier. La chambre principale et la cuisine s'ouvrent sur une grande terrasse couverte donnant sur le ruisseau. Le salon dispose d'un plafond voûté à rainure et languette qui est mis en évidence par une cheminée en pierre native empilée à sec. Les animaux ne sont PAS autorisés ou ne fument pas.

Il y a un séjour minimum de 3 à 7 nuits selon les dates. En été de juin à août, nous n'acceptons que les locations à la semaine du samedi au samedi. Le prix comprend le loyer, le nettoyage, l'enlèvement des ordures et les taxes. Un acompte de 50% du montant total est dû pour confirmer la réservation. Le solde restant est payable au plus tard 14 jours avant l'arrivée, ou le montant total peut être payé à l'avance si vous le souhaitez. Un remboursement complet est disponible pour les annulations 60 jours à l'avance. Les paiements peuvent être effectués via HomeAway ou PayPal. Les autres dispositions doivent être approuvées par le propriétaire.

Relaxing Cabin

Stayed in cabin for week with 5 grandchildren. Plenty of room for everyone. They loved the creek and large yard for playing. Wife and I enjoyed the massive back covered porch and hearing the flowing creek. Kitchen was well equipped. We never even turned on the TV. Just unplugged. Host was quick to respond to any questions we had during our visit.

Love the creek and porch but…

Good: the cabin is adorable: spacious, cozy, very clean. We loved the deck overlooking the creek as well as the fire pit by the creek. As a serious arachnophobe, I was delighted with how clean the deck was considering it’s in the middle of the woods! I sat out there every morning and most evenings and it was very nice.The grill was super handy several evenings for dinner. Well-stocked with towels, paper products, hand soap, etc. Overall, it was a comfortable and relaxing place to spend a week. Not so good: the road up to the cabin was not “well-maintained” as advertised, at least not if you have a sedan. An suv or 4wd would be fine, but it was not good for our car at all, and I would’ve appreciated a warning about that. The shower heads were very old and not pleasant at all…not a huge expense to change those out. Faucet water pressure was weak, especially in the kitchen. And there were 7 out of 10 missing lightbulbs in the main room, making it very dim and not great for reading. One more thing: the water is terrible. So metallic tasting and smelling. A water filter would be great, although I’m sure that’s an expensive upgrade. One of the things that was so nice about this cabin was the affordability, and we understand upgrades can make that cost go up, but some simple, relatively inexpensive upgrades would make it more pleasant overall. It really is a great cabin in a great location, just needs a little bit of attention.

Relaxing getaway

Loved the cabin and especially the creek behind it. The cabin has everything we needed and then some. Anytime I had a question it was answered immediately by the Burkes. The patio overlooking the creek was our favorite part! Thank you so much, looking forward to coming back!

Perfect for rest and relaxation

This cabin is the perfect place for relaxation. My wife and I enjoyed sitting on the back porch and listing to the creek as it rushed over rocks and logs. The furnishings were old but clean and functional.The location was great for my fly fishing expeditions each day. The cabin was clean and I could rest at the end of the day hiking and wading. Our host Gary was very accommodating when we wanted to extend our stat. We will return again.

Bit of a drive worth the seclusion

We had a great time at the cabin. It is quite a steep drive up but we very much appreciated the privacy wgile still being close enough to dome great hikes. The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed to cook all of our meals. The kids enjoyed playing the creek. It is worth noting that the listing states there is a hot tub but it in fact it is a garden tub in the bathroom. Still very nice, just were really hoping for a hot tub.

We ran into a minor heating snafu the first two nights but Gary was great. He was very apologetic and quick to respind. Awesome hots and clean cabin. I would recommend to all! We will be a return guest for sure.

Thanksgiving Week

We stayed for Thanksgiving week and really enjoyed the house. It is a little dated and needs a few updates but over all clean, comfy and cozy. The creek is a nice bonus. Also the house is stocked with all the paper products you’ll need as well. GPS takes you right to the house and no extra directions are needed which was also nice. We will definitely rent again!

Loved our stay!

We usually take a vacation to the Smokies every year and we always stay at a different place. We decided to stay on the NC side this year. I came across this listing and fell in love. When we got there it didn’t disappoint. The creek that ran behind the cabin was so peaceful. The neighborhood was quiet. There are several other cabins around it but you wouldn’t know it if you weren’t outside looking at them. There were no peace disturbances, loud neighbors, etc. While there we had the unfortunate experience of breaking down on a Friday with a mechanic bit being able to look at the car until Monday. It did take a little bit to get ahold of Gary because he was out of state on business but once I did he was very quick to accommodate us and extend our stay. If we ever travel to this part again we will definitely stay here again.

A PIECE OF HEAVEN

When you are looking for that peaceful and beautiful place to unwind, meditate, sit by the creek and listen to it babble all your worries away or go sightseeing this is where you need to go. You are not far from Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Maggie Valley, Bryson City, Cherokee and many other exciting places to visit. The drive on the Parkway between Cherokee and Gatlinburg is beautiful no matter what time of year. Then come home from exploring and light the fireplace and relax with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee. The neighbors are friendly, but very quiet. Thank you for such a wonderful place to call home.

Great memories

Rushing Waters Cabins was a beautiful as described. It was off the beaten path but worth the ride. The host was wonderful and nice to respond to my question or need we had. The Only ding I could give was the water in the bathroom sinks and showers had a rust smell. It was fine in the kitchen. I would recommend this cabin to anyone! ❤️

Overall Great Experience

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We loved the porch and the creek! Gary was very responsive to any questions we had. They also had plenty of paper products, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, trash bags, hand soap, dish soap, etc, so you shouldn’t need to bring any of those things. The beds were comfortable except for the daybed, our daughter was not a fan. Getting up the mountain was a little tricky, our SUV and our son’s sedan lost traction a few times, but Gary told us we have to go up a little faster and that would help. It did help, but the last stretch of the road up is gravel and dirt, so your car may need an alignment after your stay. There are a few bumpy spots. Also, do not try to go to Cherokee using Washington Creek Road, we almost got stuck! Overall, it was a great trip, definitely go to Darnell Farms and we also loved Soco Falls!

Lovely cabin in a beautiful setting

We came to North Carolina to see the forest plants of the Appalachian mountains and this was the perfect wooded spot to stay with a small creek and lots of rhododendron on the hillside. The cabin was very spacious especially since there was just 2 of us. It was very well supplied and organized and comfortable. Unlike most places, there was lots of lighting in the rooms. Gary was thoughtful to send us the entry information early so that we could print the information before we hit the road which was well before our visit. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We moved to the mountains of North Carolina in 1990 to get out of the hectic city of Dallas, Texas. We had been looking for somewhere to build that was lakefront or creek-front when we discovered this property in Dillsboro that was on beautiful Dick's Creek. We bought it and I built the cabin for us to live in. Eventually I was able to acquire adjacent property and built another home. We liked the original cabin too much to sell so we decided to place it on the vacation rental market so others could enjoy it.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

15 acres of prime mountain property with the Nantahala Forest bordering the West property line and Dick's Creek bordering the East property line. The cabin sits in a private location on the corner of the property backing up to the creek.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The cabin is not your average rental cabin. I'm a custom builder and originally built it to live in and did until building another home on the property. It is a great location being centrally located in Dillsboro. You can go one way towards Waynesville and Asheville or the other direction towards Cherokee and Bryson City. The cabin is privately located on 15 acres with no one to disturb you and a wonderful, relaxing back porch to sit on and enjoy the creek. You can make a day out of that. I've lived many places and this is by far the best place so far. You can bet on having four full seasons to enjoy. It's the perfect location. Come and enjoy.
