No view of the water but centrally located with many shops, resturants and bars within walking distance, Great pool and hottub just steps away and the beach is a quick walk. Can walk to Rosemary Beach and Aly's Beach. Unit is nice and a good value but a little worn. Would definitly rent again but would bring my own plug in light for the kitchenette area which currently has no light.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review, Michelle. So glad you enjoyed the condo and its superb convenience to shops, restaurants, & Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach . And, we appreciate your kitchen light tip. We'll look to add that convenience . Looking forward to welcoming you again to Beach Combin' in the future!
We loved our stay at this place!! It was perfect for my husband and I and our 1 yr old daughter. We would definitely stay here again!
Thank you for the sweet sentiment, Rachel. We work hard to make your time with us feel effortless. Please return soon. Spring is also lovely...:)
Great location but...
This was our first trip to Seacrest/Rosemary and the location of this suite was great. Cute shops and restaurants right below and an easy walk to rosemary beach which was wonderful! We loved Rosemary! However , we couldn’t wait to get out of this suite or room. It was way smaller than I imagined and it was not clean. There is a super strong urine smell which was masked by cleaners when we checked in but than by day 2 it was awful! Sheets were dirty and when we went to put them on the pull out there was hair all over the sheets. Big stains on the rugs. Very disappointed in this rental. I would choose to stay in the village again but not this unit.
Morning, Kim. We appreciate you taking the time to write a review, which I discussed with my housekeeping group. Ideally, you would have contacted us during your stay, so we could have come by to immediately handle any issues. We always want any guests to be supremely satisfied.
We're not sure about several of the items you mentioned, including the smell. Our guests before and after your visit told us they had a lovely time and thought the unit was perfect for their needs. Possibly, the size of the unit was not premium for you, as it's a studio and best for one or two people. Your party had two adults and two older children, which would have made the unit feel small at times, I'm sure.
We hope you'll consider coming back to the Villages and Seacrest Beach and possibly staying in a larger unit that will be more comfortable for your group. There really is no place better than Scenic 30A for relaxation.
Thank you again for taking the time to write us. Taking care of our guests' needs is always a priority.
Great place, great food , great environment
Jim --- Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review. Indeed, your quick comments put a pulse on exactly what so many people find so compelling about 30A. We look forward to your return and welcoming you again to Beach Combin' at The Villages of South Walton in Seacrest.
Great for a long weekend getaway.
Renting and checking in was as easy as 123. We will be back. I do recommend putting in hand rails in the tub/shower. I’m a well balanced person and I almost slipped and fell a couple times. My wife did fall, but luckily she was ok.
Other than that, every thing else was pretty good. Great area to stay and walk everywhere.
Thank you for your review, Tracy. The location of the condo always gets rave reviews. It’s so close to Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach. Only a 3- minute walk in either direction to each. And the Beach is equally close, along with a free tram to take you and all your stuff to the beach.
Even though it’s never come up previously, I like your idea of adding the bar in the shower. The next time you visit, it should be there!
Great place but?
Room was in a good area, room needs a little TLC. Shower curtain had either black stsins or mold inside the shower. Tub corners need caulking. Kitchen area needs under shelf lighting over the counter top and sink. Theres 8 square feet of floor space wasted on a bar glass holder that slings the glasses out on the floor unless its opened very slowly. Open shelves above the
sink area look cluttered with multiple sizes shapes and colors of glasses, a open basket filled with multicolored plastic measuring cups. The coffee maker worked 2 days and quit the last morning, this typeof room needs a coffee pot that has on and off controlls , pots with timers are not necessary, yes i followed the owners manual that came with the pot, it still wouldnt make coffee. The lamp on the bar glass cabinet had a blown bulb, i swapped it out for with a end table light bulb, it was necessary due to that was the only light in the kitchen. That lamp shade was fuzzy with dust and either fibers or hair was sticking up from the top. I think having all the cranks removed from the windows to prevent them from opening is a fire safety violation. I realise giving a honest review will prevent further accepted reservations here but if these issues are taken care of guest folling me will have a much better review to share.
Thanks so much for your comments and helpful ideas, John. As it turns out, we just left the condo for a short personal stay; and we had the exact same list + a few extra items. Plus, no matter how good the cleaning staff is, it's always good to have a guest remind us of the little things. Related to the windows not opening, that is actually not a fire safety hazard, as the windows are not the egress for the condo. There are several other more convenient exits from the hallways. Most condo owners have done the same, as the Gulf salt air can be very damaging to interior fixtures; and it's always quite difficult to get a strong, tight closing after opening.
This coming week, we are getting the AC upgraded and we've given a list of items to be upgraded in the condo, as well, which includes new tub caulking, a new coffee maker and a new shower curtain, among several other items that you've not mentioned. I do appreciate the under cabinet lighting option. We've considered it in the past, but since most guests don't spend a lot of time cooking and haven't mentioned it, we've never made it a priority. However, I do think I will now ask the man upgrading several items next week to add under shelf lighting to his list for the kitchen. So -- thank you for that recommendation.
The bar island between the kitchen area and the table actually seems to be appreciated by most guests, who like the additional counter space it provides. In addition to glasses, it also holds even more books when you open the side corner doors. Very cool feature.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and ideas. We hope you will return and let us know what you think about the upgrades, once those are completed next week. You're right that it's hard to beat the condo's location --- just a few minutes' walk from both Rosemary Beach on one side and Alys Beach on the other. Plus, great coffee, ice cream, pizza and dinner is available just downstairs, along with a couple of extensive sundry/beach supply shops and LOTS of bikes to rent. The new pools are also very conveniently located directly behind my building, where the optional tram to the beach also picks up and drops off guests. The location for the price just doesn't get any better!
Thanks for writing,
