The little hidden outdoor area was amazing to sit these few dats and see the moon. The whole home was awesome. The property owner was caring and awesome!
The property was clean and check in/checkout was easy. The only downside was the AC was not able to keep up with the extreme heat outside. We would stay here again
Excellent! Comfortable, clean and great location for our visit. There is a little TLC that needs to happen but the upgrades that were done were perfect.
We stayed here to see a show at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater and the location was perfect for not only that but to get anywhere around the city. The house was adorable and the beds were super comfy after running all over town⊠Will definitely be back!!
This is a cute and charming bungalow located less than 5 min from Frenchtown and Main street. Very comfortable with an updated bathroom and well stocked kitchen. Definitely recommend for a nice weekend in St. Charles.
Loved the charm of this old house, it was clean and comfortable, perfect for our weekend getaway. The location was great and we felt right at home. Being from a small rural town the traffic noise was noticeable but not annoying. We would stay here again without hesitation and probably will if it is available the next chance we get to visit St. Charles.
Host was responsive and kind even though VRBO was a disaster to deal with on this reservation. But no fault of the host. House is in a transitional neighborhood but very close to all tourist areas and convenient to Lindenwood University
The house was perfect for us. My wife and I had a weekend getaway to historic St Charles. We spent most of our time out walking around downtown and used the house to hang out in the evening and sleeping. The neighborhood was quiet, other than traffic on the main road out front. The neighbors across the alley out back have junk everywhere, but doesnât affect the property. Parking was a giant concrete pad behind the house. Could be great for 4 people with a king bed downstairs and upstairs. Attic bedroom is a little short, with needing to bend your head because of the roofline, but once you are in bed itâs fine. Thatâs the room we stayed in and it was very cozy. Will definitely stay again.
My wife and I visited STL to take in a Cards game. We wanted to stay outside the city in order to catch a plan to Minneapolis the day after the game. This property worked out great. It was convenient off the highway, and the neighborhood was quiet. Caryn was very responsive with our questions. We had a positive experience and would return if the occasion presents itself again.
Great location, host was flexible as we arrived 2 hours early and we were able to gain access with a message sent to host. House had Keurig coffee pot, coffee, dishes and cookware. The bathroom had shampoo/conditioner and soap which was a nice touch. We walked to historic downtown and visited establishments along our walk-through Frenchtown, the first day in 50-degree weather and the next in a snowstorm. It's not a short distance but very doable with the right foot ware. Beds were good, average mattress, king size in both rooms. Stairs to get to the upstairs, husband 6'4" did need to bend to avoid hitting head in slanted ceilings. It wouldn't discourage us from staying again. Fridge needed wiped out and floor in living room needed swept under the ottoman, other than those two minor things the house was very clean. Outdoors was well lit and night lights throughout the house were nice to have. Would stay again.
The cottage was adequate for my husband and I for the few days we were in town. It was clean and the kitchen stocked with cooking and eating utensils. The town of St.Charles is quaint and beautiful. As far as the house I would suggest putting in a handrail coming in the back door up to the kitchen. The stairs are narrow and steep. A little difficult to navigate for a 65 and 70 year old. The bed was very low to the ground and was hard to get out of it. Also, the king bed in the downstairs bedroom left very little room on either side of the bed.
It was clean, but very hot. Got up to 81 in the house during the day. And couldn't figure out the TV. Don't have Roku so couldnt use the TV. Overall it was an okay stay
House was very nice. Pictures were good and we knew what to expect. Location was great for where we wanted to go.Owner was punctual when we had any questions!
Lovely little house. Everything you need. Upstairs room was just to hot for us, but it cools down at night. Everything you need in kitchen, and bathroom, comfy lounge. Thanks
