These hosts are so gracious and helpful! It was a nice spot to land for a few nights in Portland. It is as advertised, as far as the very steep stairs and quaint size, which was absolutely fine for us. The only issue we had was with the air conditioning only cooling down the bedroom. The rest of the space was very hot. We were thankful we slept in the cool, at least, but couldnât enjoy a movie (only tv is in the living room) or just hang out anywhere but the bedroom. We werenât in the space a ton, so it wasnât a deal breaker for us, but may be for some. We plan another night there at the end of our stay, so clearly, we do enjoy this cute, well-appointed, little loft. Thanks Jennifer! You were lovely to deal with for our stay.
I donât really want to complain because the host were so wonderful. But when we arrived at the place, it was not on the second floor, but on the third floor of a house. The stairs going up three flights were very narrow and very steep. When we got into the place, it was so hot even though there was a little air conditioner in the bedroom no air reached the living room where one of us wouldâve been staying. We called the host and they were so gracious to allow us to leave with a promise that they would reimburse us. They did acknowledge that this was the hottest time of the year and that they understood if we were not able to stay there. They did ask that we notify you so that you can begin the process of reimbursing us. Thank you very much.
What a cute VERY well kept one bedroom apartment. It was the perfect quiet spot for me to get some work and homework done before mettinf friends for dinner. The location is walking distance away from anything you wish to do or eat in Portland, and the VIEW is breathtaking. From the subtle ambiance the hosts took the time to make just right to the cleanliness of the overall space, you will not find a better fit for a one or two person location. It was just what I needed and imagined for my one night away. I returned home refreshed and the space had a lot to do with that.
This little place is so cozy, clean, and in a great neighborhood within distance to the promenade. Sweet amenities too with a written welcome card, welcome snacks, and restroom necessities. Will definitely be back!
I adore this lovely place with so much light and attention to detail. I come and stay while working and visiting a local company. Not only is this place thoughtfully appointed it is a welcome place to come back to in the evenings to relax and knock out some work. Great lighting. Thoughtful placement of extension cords. Good spaces to work. So I get to work and still see out the windows to the beauty that is Portland. Pls stay there and find out for yourself!
We arrived for a short trip and picked the location for the walkability of the area. 25 minute walk to the Casco Bay Ferry Lines. This gave us a fun afternoon to travel to Peaks Island to explore. We got to eat dinner at The Olive a tasty Lebanese restaurant on the way back to our place. Close to walking paths with great views. Be ready to climb to the third story in this walk up space. Well worth the climb!
Overall, this place will be on our list of places to stay when we make a return trip. My advice is, if you are pushing 6 foot in height, watch your head. The unit is the 3rd floor unit so the ceilings are slanted more the closer you get to the walls. I've bumped my head a few times. It's a great place to stay.
My only issue was when I went to cut my girlfriendâs birthday cake and serve my family slices. We ran out of plates so I grabbed some of the blue bowls only to find they filthy and had sticky stuff on them. The tenant before must have just put them back after having cereal or something. Anyway, it was a beautiful spot. Thanks again.
Cozy apartment. Was clean and comfortable Great view of Portland Harbor. Stairs are quite steep which makes trying to bring up luggage a bit of a challenge. Parking is on the street.
We stayed at this rental for just one night and it was perfect! The location was great for us, an easy uber ride to the old port area. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and parks nearby. We had an amazing brunch at the Front Room, which was an easy walk from the rental. The rental itself had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We are Mainers but live about an hour from Portland so this was a perfect one night getaway. Weâll def stay again!
We really enjoyed our stay. This little third floor walk up was a perfect place for my husband and I to explore Portland. It is homey and comfortable and spotless. If you have any issues with mobility you should look elsewhere, but that is disclosed in the listing. The last set of stairs are very steep, but we found it charming.
I highly recommend this rental. Well done!
The apartment exceeded expectations. It is spacious yet cozy, comfortable, very well organized, spotlessly clean, with so much attention to detail and really nice touches that the host provided, including snacks! The neighborhood is quiet and charming, and walking distance to just about everything. Communication with the host Jennifer was seamless. Five stars!
I've moved home after living in LA for 12 years. Currently residing on the beautiful East End, it is such a pleasure to have discovered that over the last decade or so this neighborhood has grown into a wonderfully diverse, safe and welcoming community. Plus, I love being able to walk to brunch and to the market! I desperately missed those outings, living in the car centered culture of Los Angeles. It's been a wonderful experience meeting and hosting people from all over the world who are visiting Portland!
