big rooms big bathroom big kitchen, but house look old outdated, living room really hot. Mattress really thin and rip. Stain tub and sink. we found some roaches at bathroom while we there. Maybe good living for the locals; but for a vacationer's family spec something different.
The house was very clean and spacious. We liked the porch swing. The living room furniture desperately needs replacing and there is AC only in the bedrooms.
Nice and quiet neighborhood, house simple and a bit dated, furniture needs update. Bedrooms comfortable enough and cool but rest of house way to hot for comfort and we consider ourself pretty tough...
It is a very rundown place. The pictures that are on Expedia have been definitely "filtered" using Instagram and the reality looked much worse when we checked in. The fence has rusty barbed wire, while inside the house you could hardly breathe because of a very thick and stuffy air, as there's no AC in the main living room and the windows have solid glass blinds that make make the house very dark. You can't let the light in unless you open the windows that if done, will allow hot air inside the house. Scratched floors, dents on the walls and ceilings, very dirty couches in the living room - overall the place gave a very negative and dirty wibe and the feeling that you are a victim of false advertisement. In short, we couldn't stay at the place as a family and had to demand a refund from Vicasa, and then overpay for the last-minute booking to stay somewhere else.
I often try to plan small weekends trips throughout the yer for my family, but I would always struggle in finding a hotel that would both perfectly accommodate my family and at the same time saying in budget. When looking for a place to stay it must have a functioning kitchen, at least 2 bed rooms, and some space where my children can play. I saw Casa Jessita on booking.com and said it has all the basic things i need and most importantly fit into my budget. I started to make payment towards the vacation and the manager went above and beyond to assist me and answer all my rhetorical questions. The day was drawing near and I received an email with some codes was a bit confused but did not pay it much attention. Finally the day was here and when we arrived at the place it surpasses my expectations! First of all the entire place was ours this made it such a homey feeling, especially with Covid-19 we were not mingling with other guests. Secondly, The house was very spacious and the kitchen had just about everything I would need. The rooms were large and had tremendous closet space. There were fun board games for the entire family to play. There was even a little office space for my husband to work from. Lastly my children could have played in the yard without any restrictions and noise level constraints. This was one of the best places and i will definitely choose it time and time again.
The house is spacious and the location is ok, though off of the main strip. A couple appliances did not work and the air conditioning is only available in the bedrooms. The staff in Belize City was mostly unresponsive and rude when they finally did respond. The staff in Caye Caulker was very helpful even though she was not able to fix any of the broken elements.
