Very lush and beautifully landscaped property. We stayed in the pool casita, which has a lot of room for four, brand new mattresses, large walk in shower, and full kitchen. The pool and waterfall were amazing. You can hear the ocean very clearly, and not very far from the beach. Definitely get a rental car, this allows you to go out to dinner or get groceries in town, which is small but has everything. Todos Santos is a short drive north, and La Paz and Cabo are great day trips.. We will definitely be back đ
The apt off the pool is very spacious, good beds & linen and a nice patio. Property gardens and pool well maintained. Upper deck sunsets a highlight. A few small glitches in first day very promptly corrected by easy-to-reach and pleasant local rep.
The ânewâ el Pescadero area overall is kinda odd right now. Dusty, rutted roads alongside lots of new homes. Lots of construction.
A few good but pricey restaurants nearby. Lots of humpback whale watching from the beach every day (Jan).
It was easy to communicate with both owner and local rep! If arriving after dusk first night, recommend meeting rep at highway turnoff. Few roads are marked, many dead ends. Google maps out of date.
Re Todos Santos town: ~20yrs ago, it was worth visiting for its âcharmâ and funky shops. Now for me it seems not much more than a lot of stores with made-elsewhere trinkets. Fame overtook it. The bus disgorging 30 selfie-takers in front of Hotel California was not a surprise.
What a hidden gem Casa Cascada is! Situated in a lush oasis of palms and tropical flora and close to San Pedrito beach in El Pescadero, you will find yourself enjoying the amazing views and relaxing grounds of the property. We took advantage of the shared roof top deck over the main unit to gaze at the stars, do yoga, and look out at the ocean. The views from the rooftop deck are AMAZING!! (Better than what you see online) We were lucky to have the whole casa property to ourselves so it made it extra special. There are many private outdoor sitting areas throughout the property to unwind with a book, cup of coffee, or glass of wine. We used the grill for grilling fresh sausages from Que Rico(in Todos Santos). The pool and waterfall are an added bonus to the property. We stayed in the pool casita which was very spacious with two queen beds, living room and kitchen. The unit above the main house is also very nice and recently renovated with a kitchen. The owner Marcus and host Cynthia were both great with communication and welcoming us to the Casa. A rental car is needed as the whole area is dirt roads but that is why we come here, to live like the locals! Cerritos swimmable beach is 5 minutes to the south and the charming town of Todos Santos is about 10 mins north. La Paz is 1.5 hours away to swim with whale sharks, sea lions, and beautiful Balandra Bay, which is a must see. Some favorite restaurants are Hierbabuena, Lucky23, Shakas, El Refugio, Jazmango and cafe, Freesouls, and groceries at El Sol, Agricole, and Que Rico. Great location, renovated views, gorgeous tropical oasis, and privacy are top reasons to stay at Casa Cascada! Thank you Marcus and Cynthia!
Marcus designed a perfect vacation spot away from the tourist trap of Cabo, but close enough for easy access - only an hour from the airport! Marcus welcomed us right in and shared his home. Even his little rescue dog welcomed us. We stayed in the 'pool' unit which opens out right onto the pool and was great for the boys - they could go out there whenever they wanted, which was almost all of our time there. We relaxed, read books, drank coffee, barbecued some catch-of-the-day, in all the available seating areas - couch by the pool, roof deck, hammock, outdoor dining table, deck chairs, etc. We fell asleep to the sound of the waves on the beach, slept soundly nestled into the very comfortable and warm beds, and awoke each morning to crowing roosters. We only had 4 days there which was not long enough! . . . Thank you Marcus and Scruffy for such a beautiful place to stay!

We had the Best time at Marcusâs! The Casita and the grounds were even better than pictured. It is an easy walk to a (non swimming) beach and a 5 min drive to Cerritos and 10m into Todos. Everything was super clean and the beds were really comfortable. Marcus was super welcoming, helpful, chill and fun to hang with. Would definitetly stay here any time coming back to Todos!! Thank You Marcus!!!
We had a great time at Casa Cascada. Marcus has done a great job with the property and it is a beautiful place to go and relax. The property is well decorated and well maintained. The unit is spacious, well appointed, and comfortable. With a full kitchen and it is very easy to make meals and take care of yourself. The property also has a couple of grills to use for cooking up some fresh caught fish or locally purchased meats.
The pool area is a bit shaded, which we preferred. There is also a roof deck for full sunbathing and sunset watching. The little bar area was a good gathering place for those staying there to have a cocktail or beer and share the adventures of the day.
The garden included plenty of coconuts and passion fruit as well as an occasional banana. The hummingbirds fly around and keep you entertained. And Marcus was a great host with tips and information about the area and willing to whip up a passion fruit margarita for you.
One little caveat is the location - you will definitely need a vehicle. That is not a problem at all for us since we always have one when in the Baja. It is a long walk to/from the beach - it is walk-able but you may prefer to drive. And of course to get to any stores or other places you will need to drive.
The property has on-site washer/dryer for your use. This is nice for a long vacation as you can wash items during your stay to reduce on packing. Also you can wash your towels, etc.
Marcus provides paper products for the unit, coffee for the coffee maker, salt, pepper, cooking oil, plates, glasses, utensils, and other basic essentials needed for your stay.
The WiFi was reliable and pretty speedy for the area. The TV in the room has NetFlix in case you want to watch something (I think we turned it on once during our week long stay).
We will definitely return to Casa Cascada,
I could not rate our stay at Marcus' Casa Cascada any higher. A fountain of information about activities and the local area -- from great restaurants to fishing and surfing recommendations, Marcus made us feel welcome and at home, in a low-key manner.
Casa Cascada, itself, is a unique, lovely, and very well thought-out property. The pool is exquisite, very hard to leave, and relaxing. The waterfall is gorgeous, and the lighting at night is a must-see detail. The gardens, the wildlife (including Scruffy and the baby hummingbirds!), and the staff, neighbors and guests are all welcoming, warm, and engaged.
Not for nothing in this area of Baja, but...the wifi's dependable, there's hot water, good cell service, and lots of other little amenities that can make the difference in your stay. Highly recommend.
The owner has done an excellent job that made our trip a great one ! Beautiful, modern, clean, excellent taste and style set amongst farming and beach/ocean... this is where you want to stay.
We loved beach days, Todos Santos, adventures & great food then coming back to relax by the pool! Too much to describe, it must be experienced.... Enjoy !
