At Krokvasshytta, you wake up to silence and panoramic views of the mountain lake. Here you are completely alone in nature at an altitude of 633 meters, with no neighbors in sight. Modern amenities such as Starlink internet, solar panels, and a wood-fired sauna make your stay both comfortable and authentic. Large windows bring nature into the living room.
The cabin has been carefully restored with Scandinavian mid-century design. You will find furniture and lighting from design icons such as Verner Panton, Finn Juhl, and Torbjørn Afdal. The color scheme and interior design reflect a love of Scandinavian design from the 1950s and 1960s, creating a timeless and harmonious atmosphere.
Outside the cabin door is your own spa in nature. The wood-fired sauna and hot tub invite you to relax with a view of Krokvatn. All firewood is included. A canoe is ready for paddling trips, and the water in front of the cabin has a good trout population for fly fishing. Parking is located 400 meters from the cabin.
The Rukkedalen nature reserve starts right by the cabin. Marked trails take you above the tree line and to Trongedalsnuten, Åmlis highest mountain at 928 meters. Take the canoe over to the neighboring lake Rukkevatn and paddle into the nature reserve, where you can experience moose, beavers, foxes, and large birds in their natural habitat.
