My husband and I, along with our pup, stayed at Don and Angela’s home for the past two weeks and had a fantastic time. Right on the bike path and about 5min drive to downtown, it’s perfectly located where you’re outside downtown traffic and can head straight to beaches, walks, etc...but still close enough to down town you can bike or jump in the car real fast. It is one of 6 homes on a small U- the only caveat is that with the convenience, when you’re outside grilling and/or at the house with the windows open, you can sometimes hear traffic from the two busier roads nearby. Still, being there with a dog, we loved being able to walk to Island Kitchen for food/ best ice cream on the island, and a few other spots too. Also, 1.3 miles from the harbor on mostly a gravel road for a great run/walk.
Don and Angela were great throughout, giving great suggestions on local spots, super responsive and welcoming. They also have some great neighbors!
Because of Covid-19 we were extra aware/concerned with cleanliness, and brought our own supplies but realized the house was fully stocked, which we truly appreciated.
We had a fantastic stay, able to do everything the island has to offer, from Bartlett Farms, to clamming, restaurants, and being the only ones on the beach. Nantucket truly is one of a kind.
All in all, highly recommend staying at Don and Angela’s recently renovated home (new, beautiful kitchen, bathroom, and classic beach my feel- even bigger than in the photos).
