Walking through the village streets brings you close to stone-built homes, small churches, and local cafés where you can enjoy authentic Cretan dishes and homemade raki. The surrounding hills and countryside provide tranquil walking paths with panoramic views, ideal for those who enjoy hiking and discovering rural Crete at a relaxed pace. Not far from the village lies the gorge of Almyros and the broader Psiloritis foothills, where nature lovers can enjoy scenic routes, small chapels, and quiet plateaus.
