The location is great. Itâs an 8- to 10-minute walk to the beach and just a few more steps to the small grocery store and the surfboard and boogie board rental shop (Witchâs Rock)... you can negotiate the price. For 10 days, we paid 200 USD tax (13%) to rent both boards.(Usually, itâs 200 USD for just the surfboard.)Downtown is also very easy to reach on foot (20 minutes). Itâs an easy walk where youâll find shops and restaurants all along the way.Two downsides: if youâre less mobile, getting back to the apartment involves a fairly steep hill with no elevator, and the customer service (the staff on-site) is nonexistent. We didnât get a single smile or greeting from them. The only super nice and pleasant person was the housekeeper. The positives are, of course, the proximity to all amenities, the balcony and the sea view you get... fantastic!, the pool, the cleanliness of the place, and although the furnishings arenât top-notch, youâll have everything you need with air conditioning that works well. Oh, and we were treated to the visit of howler monkeys right nearby.
