Nestled in the serene countryside of Lochwinnoch, our beautifully furnished 5-bedroom country home offers the perfect retreat for those looking to relax, unwind and enjoy the outdoors. With rolling fields surrounding the property and uninterrupted views of the Scottish countryside, this spacious home is ideal for families.
Providing the perfect base for enjoying rural Scotland while being just a short drive from local shops, cafes and public transport links.
The Space:
Each of the five bedrooms features a comfortable double bed, with tasteful dĂ©cor and plenty of storage space to make you feel right at home. The home is thoughtfully designed with stylish furnishings, warm natural light, and inviting communal spaces, perfect for spending time together - whether youâre cooking in the well-equipped kitchen (please note the AGA is not in use) or relaxing in the cosy lounge with wood burner. You will find a large dining table and chairs, with the addition of ample seating around the fire, a smart TV and WIFI.
On the ground floor you will find 3 bedrooms, a large family bathroom which has both a bath, and shower. One of these bedrooms boasts an en-suite with shower. On the upper floor there are 2 other bedrooms, one with a large en-suite bathroom - with bath, walk-in shower cubicle and 2 sinks.
You will find a good selection of board-games, childrenâs books and toys.
The great outdoors
Step outside and youâll find a large private garden with an outdoor fire pit - ideal for evening gatherings under the stars. We have Roe Deer, Hares and Pheasants visiting our garden, almost daily.
Enjoy direct access to private countryside and nearby woodlands, with a network of scenic walking trails that offer hours of peaceful exploration.
The nearby Castle Semple Loch is within walking distance. This is a hub for sailing, kayaking and canoeing. Our RSPB Nature Reserve is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and families alike. There are excellent mountain-biking opportunities and also nearby access to the cycle path. There is a local golf club and fishing opportunities. Muirshiel Country Park also offers lovely hill-walking and nature loops.
Guest Access:
Guests will enjoy full private access to the property, including the driveway, ample parking, generous gardens/ fields. Key collection will be via a secure lockbox on site. Detailed check-in instructions will be provided prior to arrival.
The Neighborhood:
Lochwinnoch is a scenic, residential village surrounded by countryside. The property is located just off Bridesmill Road, a quiet country road connecting the village to Howwood and Johnstone. Guests can enjoy easy access to local walking routes, Castle Semple Loch, and nearby amenities while still benefiting from a peaceful rural setting.
The buzz of Glasgow city centre and Glasgowâs west-end is a 20 minute train or drive away. Largs, a charming seaside town that offers sailing, golfing, beaches and walking is also about 20 minutes away.
Getting Around:
We are best accessed by car due to its rural setting. The property has a private driveway with ample space for parking, and the nearby roads offer scenic drives to surrounding areas.
- By Car: Easy access to the A737 connects you to Johnstone, Paisley, and Glasgow in under 20 minutes.
- Train: Lochwinnoch Train Station (5 mins by car or 25-min walk) offers regular services to Glasgow Central.
- Bus: Local bus services connect Lochwinnoch to nearby towns, though less frequent in the evenings.
- Walking & Cycling: Ideal for exploring the countryside, Castle Semple Loch, and local nature trails.
We recommend guests have a vehicle for convenience, especially when traveling with children or planning day trips.
Other Things to Note:
There is a ring doorbell located at the front door of the property.
We can arrange rental of a high chair and a travel cot if needed during your stay
Please note, check in is not available on the 25th of December and the 1st of January.
For insurance purposes, the lead booker must be over 25. ID verification is required on all bookings.
