The perfect cottage for exploring the beautiful Wigtownshire area or simply to relax and unwind.
Beautifully presented throughout the cottage has a wonderful garden and patio area for the warmer months and cosy wood burner for winter time.
An ideal base for hiking or cycling in the heart of Wigtown (Scotland's Book Town), the cottage is a home from home with everything needed for a fantastic stay.
Furry friends welcome!
Arrive in the charming town of Wigtown where the cottage is located on the edge of the town close to a beautiful historic church and with beautiful views across the Scottish countryside beyond.
Spread over 2 floors, the cottage has a cosy, welcoming but spacious feel and is fully equipped for a relaxing stay.
GROUND FLOOR
Kitchen
A good size fully equipped kitchen with everything even the most experienced chef could wish for! The ideal space to prepare everything from a full evening meal to a light lunch, the kitchen has a full size fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher making life easier all round.
The dining table will seat 4 with plenty of room to spare meaning the kitchen is both a functional but social space.
Sitting Room
A wonderfully spacious room, with double sofas and a charming rocking chair located next to the wood burning stove, it is ideal for relaxing after a long day exploring everything that our beautiful region has to offer. Catch up on your regular viewing on the Smart TV or curl up with a good book and enjoy the cosy atmosphere of a crackling fire, there's even enough room for family games night!
Bathroom
Clean, fresh and modern, the bathroom has a good size shower, lovely basin vanity unit with enough room to store all your toiletries and a double mirrored cabinet for convenience. A wonderfully relaxing space to start your morning or to wash away all the activities of the day.
FIRST FLOOR
Climb the stairs to discover the 2 spacious bedrooms.
Bedroom 1
Light and bright the large Velux windows bring a beautiful character to the room. A super comfortable king size beds ensures a great night sleep. Double built in wardrobes mean there is plenty of room for personal belongings and a selection of reading materials and armchair make this room a delightful escape and relaxing space.
Bedroom 2
Again with the character of Velux windows, sink into the beautiful French style double bed with comfortable mattress to wake up refreshed and ready for the day ahead, double fitted wardrobes provide ample room for storage.
ADDITIONAL SINGLE BED
Please note that there is an additional comfortable fold down single bed for use by guests if required which can easily be set up on your arrival.
OUTSIDE SPACE
Enjoy a morning coffee or evening glass of wine on the patio or sit back and enjoy children or pets playing on the lawned area. Relax with a good book on warm evenings a real 'good for the soul' experience and no doubt you will make friends with the local bird and wildlife.
Guests will have access to the entire property and private garden and patio areas.

The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.
Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
