A recently refurbished and extended cottage, directly overlooking the tidal River Dovey (a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve), and just down the road from Dyfi Osprey project and overlooking the edge of the Ynyshir nature reserve. The house sits on the A487 , 5 miles from the town of Machynlleth, and 10 miles from Aberystwyth. The coastal town of Borth is just just 8 miles.
The previous owner renovated this cottage over the course of 2 years, having been derelict and not lived in for some 30 years. Some work had already begun, but it was a labor of love and frustration in parts turning it around and getting it to the place it is today.
The downside is it is on a road, but the views across the estuary and across to the Southern Snowdonia Mountains mean you soon forget about that, whilst sat on the sofa or even in bed. Being mid Wales the roads aren't that busy and it goes very quiet early evening.
The house was converted with comfort in mind. The huge sofa overlooking the valley is extremely comfortable and a great place to sit back and relax in the evening and make use of the cinema projector. The house also has a Sonos sound system. The open plan kitchen off the dining room and lounge is well equipped, with two ovens, microwave, wine fridge, american fridge freezer with ice maker, plate warming draw, popcorn maker, Nespresso coffee machine and dishwasher.
