à propos de cet hébergement
Bayvil, Newport - Quatre Chambres GĂźte, Couchages 8
Bayvil is a family-owned traditional Welsh farmhouse situated near Nevern Pembrokeshire. The property has been sympathetically restored, retaining some original character features while providing the comforts of modern living. The cosy cottage is light and spacious throughout, fully centrally heated and offers comfortable beds and bedding.
The property lies within the Pembrokeshire National Park renowned for its beautiful beaches and coves, and is midway between the villages of Nevern and Felindre-Farchog and only 4 miles from Newport. Both pretty villages have popular riverside pubs which serve meals. Bayvil is situated in a beautiful rural setting with views across the Preseli hills, sharing private lane access with the pretty unused 18th C Bayvil Church with the National Park path running past the property. Nevern is renowned for its historical interest, its ancient Church with Bleeding Yew tree, Celtic Cross and Pilgrim's Way and Norman motte and bailey castle.
Two miles away is the neolithic monument of Pentre Ifan and access to the Gwaun Valley, which leads onto the Preseli Mountains known as the source of stone for Stonehenge. Close to Felindre is the Nature Reserve of ancient oaks of Pengelli Forest and Ty Canol Woods. Nearby is Castle Henllys, site of Iron Age Fort and tourist attraction popular with young families. The nearest small market town of Newport (4 miles) offers highly reviewed, cafes, restaurants, pubs, art galleries and shops as well as Parrog Beach with its Boat Club and facilities.
There is plenty to do in this beautiful part of Pembrokeshire from lazy summer beach days to water sports, boat excursions to Caldey or Ramsey Island, walking, birdwatching, horse riding or golf. The National Park footpath crosses the drive making Bayvil the perfect location for Autumn and Winter walking holidays. Nearby is the Pembrokeshire Sunflower & Pumpkin Farm; Temple Bar Cafe & Farmshop; Penrallt Garden Centre and Cafe and Bluestone Microbrewery with taproom, shop and live events.
