This was our 3rd trip to Bonaire in the last 5 years. We always book a different vrbo home. With little ones, the pool is a must, as we change throughout the day as to who is diving and who is playing with kids back at the house. KIds on this trip were ages 7, 6, 3, and 3. Nothing appeared to be unsafe or a hazard for our group. Nice to have an outdoor shower and a toilet room in the patio area.
Property management was great. Answered questions we had within hours, and anything extra we needed showed up in less than half a day. The plastic blender pitcher cracked during use, we let Cecile know via email and she had a new one delivered in hours, and it had two pitchers, glass and plastic option. We used the glass one (best for frozen cocktails of course), and it worked perfectly.
The kitchen is well stocked with spices and even some basic cooking essentials, olive oil, vinegar, etc. this was a delight and a surprise, as we normally don't find that in the homes we've stayed at. Also, plenty of cooking ware, utinsels, pots and pans. we do all breakfasts and most dinners at the house and found everything we needed.
For future organizers in terms of who you put in which rooms, the two upstairs ocean view masters are clearly ranked 1 and 2, 3rd and 4th "best/biggest"- upstairs street side and ground street side.
The toilets are all pretty tall. We just figured the person who built this amazing home was tall. My husband is 6 foot 3 so he thought it was great! Our 4 year olds girls didn't have an issue using them.
The only "could be improved things" I would mention are the dishwasher could use a couple of extra wheels, to help the dish trays slide in nicer (we still made it work and it wasn't something we felt like needed attention while we were there, I'll email the property owner separately to let them know and it will probably get fixed by your stay), and the pier at the house, has some loose posts and erosion to the iron, but this was also not an issue for us. With salt water destination, this should be expected, and most homes don't have this fabulous pier and sit out on the ocean gazebo option... so I recommend you pour a cocktail, and enjoy it, and just look past this imperfection. We still used it as desired and had lots of fun jumping off the pier into the ocean.
Stay here! It's worth it. Nirvana Lodge rocks! You won't be disappointed.
