The property is in an ideal location for Galway City and surrounding area..
It is dated and could do with some TLC ,along with the garden.
The local area has some fantastic scenery and is almost a step back in time.
The local Pub restaurant has a great atmosphere ,and the food and beer were marvellous!
Poor communication regarding access, broken down heating which canât be resolved until August. An offer of compensation that hasnât been attended to.
We did not stay. When we booked this trip the cover photo was totally different. The mildew smell was horrible. There was no outside lawn seating. The refrigerator was the size of a college dorm that was not even turned on. Iâve communicated with the owner about this. He has not responded very disappointed and had to go find a last-minute hotel directions were given as to how to turn the heat on which was a little complicated since not familiar with Ireland. It wouldâve been nice if the place couldâve been heated when we got there and the refrigerator turned on.
This is clearly a familyâs holiday cottage. It is very dated but clean. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and walking to the nearby beach. The main issue was there is an extreme mildew problem in the house (not unexpected given the weather) but it needs to be addressed. The smell was very unpleasant.
