Plakias, a seaside fish village where you can enjoy, restaurants, cafes, super market, bars, gifts shops, boat trips, etc., as well, organized beaches, is close to the house. When someone drives or lives in South Rethymno, Preveli's Palm Beach is a must, where Kourtaliotiko Gorge (also visitable and gorgeous) meets the Libyan Sea. Other beaches that worth your visit are Damnoni beach, Shinaria beach, Ammoudi Beach or Ammoudaki beach (nudist beach).
Rodakino is a village 10 km away from the house. There you can go swimming either to Korakas beach or Peristeres.
