South facing chalet overlooking the mountains and sea
Fiona is based in Chwilog on the spectacular Llyn Peninsula in North Wales. 20 minutes drive from Snowdonia and it's incredible scenery and two minutes from the beach and Welsh Coastal Path. A comfortable base to explore.
Lovely and comfortable - we enjoyed our stay very much! Pam is the hostess with the mostest! Great base if you want to day trip to nearby places - we did criccieth, abersoch, portmerion. Would recommend.
We had a wonderful stay here and will definitely be returning. Pam was a lovely helpful host, and the caravan was clean, comfortable and in the most beautiful position. We were fortunate with the weather and so enjoyed many meals on the lovely veranda with views of the sea. Such a blissful feeling of tranquility the moment you drive into the site. A little piec of heaven!
This is a lovely caravan on a nice small, quiet site. Pam and Garry are great, friendly hosts. The check in process is very simple.
This is also a great location for exploring north Wales. Just a short drive from Criccieth, Porthmadog and Portmeirion. We did bounce below at Llechwedd which was really good fun. Also a RibRide on the Menai Strait.
We would highly recommend this for a holiday and will be returning at some point in the future.
I stayed here for 3 nights and had the most wonderful short holiday. The caravan is a real find, a proper âhome from homeâ. It is really well equipped and the lounge and bedrooms were most relaxing spaces â in fact you almost forgot this is a caravan. The beautifully landscaped gardens surrounding the caravan and sea views were even better than anticipated â I donât think the website photos do justice to the beauty of this really peaceful haven. I would thoroughly recommend this property. The owners were really good at communicating regarding the booking and most helpful in directing us to local attractions, this proved to be an ideal base for seeing the beautiful Llynn peninsula.
My partner and I bought our small touring caravan park a year ago and added Fiona later. She was named by our 5 year old granddaughter because she's big and green, you can't argue with that!! We've lived in North Wales for 8 years and love it. There is so much to explore, we are always finding new places and love sharing them with our guests. Garry 'tinkers' with cars all day, when he's not mowing the grass, and I enjoy playing tennis and other sports. Our 6th decade is proving to most interesting.
Our park is adult only but we do allow children in Fiona because she's set in her own walled garden and very private. There's plenty of space to wander around outside the chalet and the lounge area is very comfortable. You have the best of both worlds in Fiona, the outside is easily accessible and if it's raining and your inside the large windows allow you to a panoramic view of the garden. There is central heating and a gas fire for those cooler evenings to keep you cosy. Y Madryn (the local pub) is a short drive away (about one mile) and they serve both bar and restaurant meals. The coastal town of Criccieth is a 3 mile drive (or walk) where there are numerous pubs and cafes together with a castle and lovely beach and esplanade. We keep maps of the area for guests use and are always happy to share our 'favourite' places.
The Welsh Coastal Path is on our doorstep. You can travel in either direction and find spectacular scenery and interesting towns and villages. It's also an ideal area for cyclists, paddle boarders, surfers, tennis players and golfers. However, if all you want to do is curl up with a book, we have very comfy loungers! Exploring the coves and beaches is a favourite of ours, especially when we find a super cafe with cakes!
