Beautiful, homely, well equipped, spacious, comfortable cottage with lovely wellkept sheltered garden
Half an hour or so drive to lots of attractions and to Jurassic coast
The cottage is lovely. I was a little surprised/disappointed by the close proximity of other houses as the pictures make it look quite rural. A good sized cottage with a beautiful garden leading out onto a recreation ground which was ideal for the children and walking the dogs.
The cottage was well equipped and spacious with modern amenities including a lovely coffee machine and range cooker.
Unfortunately there were somethings that we felt could be improved on.
The beds were uncomfortable.
Broken locks on bathroom/toilet doors
A fake log burner which was gas and not working as far as we could gather. But, the central heating was perfect!!
As expected with a cottage the low doorways caused a few injuries. Aswell as an odd "step" down in the flooring by the back door caused a couple of falls. Some well placed warning signs for the forgetful types which be useful.
Washing machine didn't work and some plug sockets didn't seem to work either.
Could do with some TLC in places such as the stained toilet seat and bath and damaged edging on some skirting boards.
It would have been nice to have some essentials on arrival but by no means a negative but would make the difference to the start of a stay. The guest book suggested some visitors were welcomed with prosecco, biscuits and such like but not all.
Overall a lovely place to stay with access to shops and local pubs. Hosts were easy to contact and responded very quickly when contacted.
I would recommend thoughđ
