Maria, It was a pleasure hosting you and your husband. We’d like to address your concerns. At the beginning of your stay we spoke and scheduled cleaning days for your stay. You advised us that weekly cleaning was not necessary and bi-weekly cleaning was enough. As always, 4 full sets of towels and 1 full spare set of bedding were in the Apartment. In addition we advised you that extra towels or any other items, would always be available by request and free of charge. You never requested any additional items with the exception of more dish detergent, which we gladly provided immediately. 3 days before your departure at midnight you advised us of 2 issues. A broken exterior table and a hair on an exterior balcony drain. As you know the table was usable. We knew that a corner of it was cracked and at the time we advised you that a new table had already been ordered from the mainland. As for the hair around an exterior drain, as you might recall we looked at it at the time and could not locate any debris, but confirmed the drain was not backed up. We advised you that we’d address it with our cleaning company. To address the surface mold in the shower, we must say that we agree with you. However, please understand that São Miguel is a humid island. We clean our bathroom thoroughly. However being an interior bathroom if doors are kept closed after a shower surface mold may develop rather quickly. With that being said, we are planning on a bathroom remodel in the near future to address dated materials. With all of this being said, we are appreciative of your business as well as your feedback. It was a pleasure hosting you and we hope you give us an opportunity to do so again in the future.
