Villa Elena est une villa familiale très spacieuse, dans un terrain privé, clos et sans vis à vis. Son intérieur comprend 4 chambres spacieuses pouvant accueillir confortablement jusqu'à 8 adultes, un très grand espace salon-salle à manger-cuisine décloisonné avec de nombreux sièges pour tous nos invités et deux salles de bains. Le jardin luxuriant de la zone extérieure, la piscine privée avec bassin séparé pour enfants et barbecue adjacent, seront le cadre idéal pour que vous profitiez de vacances rajeunissantes en Crète!

La Villa Elena est située à 14 kilomètres à l'est de Réthymnon, à la périphérie de Viran Episkopi, un village calme construit autour de l'ancien diocèse d'Agrion qui avait été établi dans la région pendant l'occupation vénitienne de la Crète. Sa situation centrale le long de l'île et sa proximité avec la route nationale nord (à 2,5 km) en font l'hébergement idéal pour des excursions dans les parties ouest, est, nord et sud de la Crète!

La villa mesure 180 m². m. grand, a un 45m². m. piscine privée avec bassin séparé pour les enfants et est entourée par un beau jardin riche dans un 14. 000sq. m. oliveraie privée.

L'entrée principale du premier étage mène à une grande salle à manger / salon décloisonné meublé avec des meubles d'époque, un salon adjacent avec une assise confortable, suivi d'une cuisine intégrée entièrement équipée avec une grande table à manger. Il y a aussi une salle de bain spacieuse avec douche / WC.

Un escalier en bois mène au deuxième étage qui comprend quatre chambres, toutes climatisées et une salle de bain spacieuse avec baignoire / WC.
Deux des chambres ont des lits doubles queen-size et deux des lits jumeaux. Un lit bébé est disponible sur demande.

Les balcons s'étendant sur les deux étages vous offrent une vue panoramique à couper le souffle sur les montagnes de Psiloritis et Lefka Ori et le paysage environnant.

Les tavernes les plus proches se trouvent à 300 m de distance à Viran Episkopi, tandis que la plage de sable et les supermarchés les plus proches sont à Stavromenos à seulement 2,5 km.

Dans la petite ville de Perama à 10 km, il y a des supermarchés, des banques et des distributeurs automatiques de billets, le bureau de poste, des tavernes et une grande variété de magasins.

Des sorties intéressantes à proximité peuvent être organisées vers le village traditionnel de Margarites, le monastère historique d'Arkadi, les ruines antiques et le musée de l'ancienne Eleftherna. En raison du cadre calme, une voiture serait considérée comme essentielle pour explorer la région immédiate et l'île en général.

Much needed vacation

Wonderful traditional Greek Villa set in a private location provided an ideal place for myself and family to relax and unwind after a busy 2023! Would highly recommend - thanks to Yiannis and his mum! (your welcome meal was fantastic!)

The Villa Elena

Our Host Yianni, was very professional, kind and super in making us welcomed, especially when it came to answering questions about the area/island. His mother Maria cooked a delicious welcome meal that was so great after arriving later than anticipated. The private pool was absolutely lovely to splash around in anytime of the day or night. We enjoyed our stayed and immensely…many thanks to Yianni

Super host, clean and useful pool area and liveable space!

First have to mention the responsiveness and friendliness of Yiannis in welcoming us with a home-cooked meal and giving lots of tips, etc. Above and beyond expectations. The pool area is great for kids and clean, the grill works great, and you can even monitor the kids from one of the balconies. Kitchen is well-equipped (which is often not the case in these types of properties) and rooms are clean and comfortable. Rethymno is an easy 15-20min drive, and you have nice access to some of the mountain towns and hikes in Rethymnon as well. Recommended!

Fantastic

The stay started with being greeted with a home cooked dinner of oven roasted chicken and vegetables with a yummy dessert. After just over 24 hours of traveling this was so appreciated and just what we needed to start the two weeks.The Villa is beautiful and the support from the owner and his family and friends for any issues was wonderful to know we had should we need it. The recommendation to use Yannis at SevenCar Rental was exactly the type of local knowledge that you need when you are visiting a new area. The villa is perfectly located for exploring the island whether you want to go East, West or South and the town of Rethymno is a perfect town for shopping, chilling or eating. There are several great restaurants within a short drive. The outdoor oven with a supply of wood is a great option for cooking for yourself.And no review would be complete without mentioning the 4 legged tourist ambassador that greats you every time you come back to your home from home - Bella was the perfect bundle of energy that bounced around to say hi and brought a bigger smile to our faces.Thank you Yannis for sharing your villa with us and we look forward to staying again.

Holiday near Rethymno in early June

Villa Elena is an impressive property that doesn't fail to deliver. Well laid out with ample room for our group of 4. The kitchen equipment provided for all our needs with plenty of space, plates, glassware etc The bedrooms were of a good size with efficient air conditioning, storage and comfortable beds. Outside, a good sized pool kept immaculately clean adjacent to an excellent bbq and stone oven that we used. Maria provided us with a lovely stone baked roast chicken, lemon and potato dish and a traditional orange dessert. This was absolutely delicious. Overall we had a lovely holiday at Villa Elena with plenty of sights to see in the area. Should have spent another week here!

An absolute ideal tranquil home away from home.

The property is stunning including the grounds , situated away from other busy amenities, but close enough to reach them. This is exactly what we were looking for, a break from the mundane but homely with all our family together. The property is kept clean and is beautifully decorated throughout. There pool was one of the highlights of our stay. Excellent facilities perfect for our group - really exceeded our expectations. Above all this the host Yiannis has been phenomenal from the time we booked, keeping timely communications to the time we left. His mother lavished us with an absolute tasty meal on the day we arrived and we will always be grateful for this as we were all tired and hungry from the journey. We were also graced by the visits of most adorable Bella - the dog - who belongs to Yiannis' lovely aunt who lives next door to the villa. We really enjoyed our stay to the full and wished we had a few more days to stay. We are so grateful to Yiannis for this amazing experience and for making it a family to family experience. Looking forward to our next stay and we highly recommend Yiannis and his gorgeous villa.

A great holiday!

Yiannis was a great host, happy to support with anything and to help make our stay enjoyable. We all thought the villa exceeded our expectations. We had everything we needed, pool and area & BBQ was fabulous, and the villa was very clean. We were a little disappointed there weren't any places to eat within walking distance - the local cafe snack bar is good for casual drink etc. However we had a hire car and able to head to beaches and explore local villages, aswel as further afield to Chania and Iraklion. Rethymno is about 15 minutes drive and a lively great town to visit. We love Crete anyway and this villa just topped our stay. Thanks Yiannis and family :-)

Superb Villa with Outstanding Hosts

We were very fortunate to stay at the Villa Elena - a beautiful property, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The pool and pool area is absolutely fabulous, surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers, secluded, peaceful - incredible! The host, Yiannis, was amazing - warm, welcoming and very attentive, ensuring our stay was comfortable and that our time in Crete was enjoyable and the best it could be (it was!). On our arrival we found that dinner had been prepared for us (very welcome for tired travellers and absolutely delicious - thank you to Yiannis' Mum!) and Yiannis, although away on holiday himself, took time to video call to personally welcome us and make sure all was well. Cleaners and the Pool Man visited every couple of days during our stay and did a fabulous job. Towards the end of our stay a delicious homemade pudding arrived for us to enjoy (thanks again to Yiannis' mum ). We could not fault our stay. We had the very best of holidays in the Villa Elena and Crete - we did not want to leave!

An impressive looking and well-equipped villa with a very warm and welcoming owner

The pool area is lovely, and the views from every level of the villa are beautiful. The local village has 2 very good tavernas just 5 minutes walk away from the villa, at which we had several excellent and very economical meals amongst a good crowd of friendly locals. Parking for our hire car was secure, and the surrounding area very rural. The villa was furnished in a characterful if somewhat quirky fashion, and the level of equipment was excellent. A particular feature of the villa was the very warm welcome we received, and the high standard of service support. The twice-weekly clean was always accompanied by some local food delicacy provided by the owner's mother. Overall, we had a great time during our stay at the villa.

A stunning villa for private, relaxed holidays!!

We spent our family holidays last April in this amazing villa, which was located in a quiet area, close to the city of Rethymno The house was extremely comfortable, and our children loved the large swimming pool! The garden was a piece of heaven and there was also a lovely barbecue available for us to use. The owners made us feel very welcome and comfortable, offering both useful advice for visiting interesting sightseeings and delicious homemade meals and local produce. Highly recommended place for private, relaxed family holidays. We will certainly visit Villa Elena again in the future!

From 2013 until today, I have assumed the management of 'Villa Elena', our family owned, beautiful holiday villa located in the village of Viran Episkopi, which is my father's birth place.
